Less than 100 hp and are as fast is a brand new Honda Civic WOW!!!
Well think about it, the brand new Honda Civic is a four door and that means it's larger and heavier so it's slower than this one which is old and a 2 door hatchback so it's faster and lighter

Saxo weighs about 300kg less

My first car saxo 1.1,i still own it. I replaced every single engine thing with new expensive parts,dissemble the engine and had carbon clean everything,and applied leather seats and carbon stickers.This car feels great as hell to drive,speedy and mighty, I'm considering tuning it to stage 1 next but I'm scared.
you wont gain alot of power from a 1.1L with 60hp with a tune. Maybe 5hp/6hp more
Nice little car & beautiful acceleration(1.4, 1.6 & 1.6 16v)
I had the equivalent 106 1.5d as my first car followed by the 120bhp 106 gti next. Very fun little cars, at the time it felt quicker than most things on the road the reality is its probably the equivalent of a modern diesel these days 😄
I own a Saxo VTS 1.6 16v (1999) and she still kicks asses!!!! 😍

The car weighs about 810kg,so it's very well possible.

That 1.4i Citroen engine is an underrated gem! We've had a 1.4 saxo like that and can confirm it went like hell. The engine was just so eager and revvy!
Well, I had the same car, 1.4i 8v VTS and it was that fast
I think it is the Saxo 1.6 90 ch 8s VTS.

I drove similar thing - Peugeot 106 1.1 60 hp. I confirm that it's too fast for that low of power :)

My buddy had saxo vts on 14’’ rims ike 20y ago, he tought he was tuff untill we fond out his 130km/h was 100km/h 🤡🤡🛴 just like most honda’s back in the days

The 55hp 1.5 diesel is not in the video. I had one of those, it didn't even have a rev counter, instead there was a clock, 0-100 in a century.

@@LR90_200TDI you're right, my bad. Mine didn't have tachometer as the one in the video and that's why I got confused.
The 60HP saxo is not stock. It usually does 0-100 in 14-15 seconds if not slower.
i have one and it does 0-100 in just 10-11 sec like the video showed
Mine 5dr prelift does in 13.8
Even my first generation 1.1 does around 13 seconds to 100km/h.
1.1 60hp 11,0sec
1.4 75hp 9,2sec
1.5 d 58hp 16,0sec
1.6 8v 100hp 8,8sec
1.6 16v 120hp 7,4sec.
these mesurements are for a big LOL
these can be true if only the hand of god is pussing you .
Probably these were measured downhill or something. IT should be like 15s for 1.1, 12 for 1.4, 17 for diesel, 10 for 1.6 100hp and 8.5 for vts
@@foolishsiler_420 the 1.1 8v has perfect shifting and a good start. so i see the 11s mark is tottaly possible, even on a perfectly flat (not uphill) road.

My 1.4 75hp swapped 1.0 with a 4 speed short transmission and 6250 rmp limit can do the 0-100 in 8.9-9. It have a 50mm exhaust with one muffler and a direct air filter but running a little bit rich. Now I fitted a 5speed diesel gearbox, with it I can rev the second gear to redline and its over 100km/h before i need to shift the third but not measured the time yet. These cars are really light, the weight of mine is about 710 kg.
Apparently the speedos on these cars are completely out and 130kmh is more like 100kmh lol

That 1.1 is quick with the handbrake on...
He might be low on brake fluid, i have the same version and when i was low on brakes fluid that light comes on, there aren't any other way to show that you're low on brake fluid other than checking the engine
1.6 8v would've made it in sub-8s if you'd revved it out to the 7250RPM limiter. :D
I dont think that 1.6 8v can rev up to 7250rpm unless the head is changed to 16v.
@@ikaika7439 TU3FJ2 and TU5J2 (1.4 XSi and 1.6 XSi/Rallye) both rev to 7250RPM as standard

Not really these small indirect injection diesels love to rev and have power higher in the revs compared to a direct injection diesel
I had a 1.6 8v vtr and a 1.6 16v vts. The vts was far quicker and more fun to drive

1.1 tak nie przyśpiesza, a 100km/h na gps to pewnie ze 110km/h licznikowe więc by wychodziło 14 sekund, zresztą i tak wygląda jakby jechał z górki.

I almost died in a saxo once , fortunately was struck on the passenger side at 30-40mph but the car compacted like a tin can . wasn't a pleasant experience that's for sure ; id be dead or paralyzed if it was the drivers side impacted

I think its stock. Bcs it weights only 800kg.
