Going on a ferry ride from Nice to Saint Tropez. A small fishing village back in time, today St. Tropez is a stunning spot on the French Riviera where many rich and famous people spend their holidays. The place became popular with the movies starring Brigitte Bardot and is much associated with the movie star.
The video features a walk through the charming small streets and the marina promenade filled with luxurious, grand yachts and many cafes, restaurants, shops and people. Then taking a cab and going to the famous Pampelonne Beach where usually you can spot different celebrities / not in our case, we had a bad luck with stormy weather /. The taxi ride takes about 7-8 min. and costs 30 euro one way.

I remember coming here for first time abroad from the UK in 1963, nine years old. Drove down in an old Ford Popular, camping in St Tropez. Twenty Pounds to last for two weeks!
Absolutely skint but gorgeous weather, exotic people, beach sand so hot it burnt your feet. Unforgettable.

A beautiful place but always check prices before sitting down at one of the front restaurants or you could end up spending all your holiday money on one meal lol

Yeah, plage de Pampelonne is the most beautiful and sandy beach ⛱ in whole French riviera. I love it as Saint Tropez.

Maybe places outside the town. There are numerous beaches around St.Tropez - Escalet beach, Plage des Graniers, Les Salins beach and many more...

Go to the long beach of Pampelonne Boulevard Patch on the "Road of the Beaches",the very beautiful villages of Gassin and Ramatuelle.If you go in Saint Tropez,go at the market on the nice Place des Lices,in the little streets with restaurants,on the two little beaches in the center of Saint Tropez (one of this little beach appeares in the movie "Et Dieu créa la femme" with Brigitte Bardot in the fifties and the beach is always the same),go at La Ponche to eat sardins with tomatoes.

How I can travel from Nice France to Saint-Tropez for a day trip? What is the best method of travel?
Hi, the best way is by ferry from Nice port to St.Tropez - 2 1/2 hours one way. You can go there by car as well but usually there's heavy traffic and it's very slow.
@@aboutravel. Thank you. You think I should visit St.Tropez? I am nice for 6 nights soon. I will be visiting Antibes, Cannes and Monte Carlo as well.
Well, it's up to you. You'll see what is on the video. For many people St. Tropez is overrated. Bear in mind that is expensive too. The ferry from Nice was about 70 Euro return and if you want to go to some of the beaches near St.Tropez the taxi rates are also very high.

Why waste a yacht load of money on St. Tropez...especially if you don't know anyone? Over priced gold plated clip joint. Spend that yacht lot of cash in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Nicer beaches, prettier people, and MUCH more affordable. Of course, if you're underarm stink wealthy....then St. Tropez is for you!
