    i'm 6" and i ran 10's for about a year and i got used to it and then i got 9.75s and i rode both bars with a super tall topload and i didn't realise how much it was restricting me in my progression. one day i finally realised how a super tall bar setup was affecting my riding style negatively and made it harder to jump jumps and ride transition stuff, so i got a frontload which basically dropped my whole bar setup a whole inch. my bike setup instantly felt so much better and actually made me start progressing so much faster and made my bike look 10x better imo. i can't even go back to a super tall bar setup i rode my mate's bike with 9.5s and a topload and it felt like i was pushing a shopping trolley.

    (First time viewer of your channel) I just built a new bike after not riding for a very long time and purchased 10" rise bars because even back in the day I ran tall bars, but tall bars then where likely nowhere near 10". Now that they are on the bike I feel like I would be better off with a lower set up and you have basically confirmed what my instincts where telling me. So many options concerning parts and setup these days vs the old days. Thanks!

    I’m 5’10 and I’ve been running 8.5” bars with a top load for over a year, unfortunately my bike got stolen recently and with it my perfect bar stem combo. I ordered a bunch of new parts and found a great deal on some eclat 9.25 bars and a slightly shorter rise top load stem so I’m really hoping my hops and barspins aren’t ruined 😅

      Get a air tag and possibly put it inside your bmx seat hole if it fits. Might be too much for a bmx bike but on a motorcycle it def worth it

    must b true, learned on under 9”, my bike has been w 9.5 & hops always feel like way more energy than results. I do tilt them fwd a fraction.

    I’m 13 years old and I am quite short. I ride 9 inches bars. Do you think that I should upgrade to smaller bars?

    Idk man i think its about individua ltechnique a bit for max height bunnyhop. Coming from scooter where you loop out basically instantly, tho im 5.6 i prefer 9.5 and above bars with topload. Also better balance point imho ( for me ). I just feels more like a scooter unless that is bad for someone XD

    People who correctly say "just practice", this is your warning to stop reading as the following is complete over analysis.
    This is the only video I have found confirming my suspicions and experience. I was confused because initially, I progressed much faster when I put on higher bars. But was riding a tracklocross bike with super long, low stem, so the higher bars and shorter stem made the initial wheelie possible vs incredibly difficult. But I of course was like "'higher is better I'm going as high as I can" so I then put on 4" bars and a 3" stem riser. (it looked ridiculous) Then one day the stem riser was creaking so I took it off. I could lift front wheel higher and lift bike more easily with a more vertical bike orientation at the decompression point. My conclusion is that higher bars help initially, but as you get better at hops you'll increasingly find it easier to lift lower-height bars which give you a higher wheelie i.e. higher hop.

    I call bullshit, I see all kinds of people bunnyhopping any number of different types of bikes and handlebars. You just have to learn to ride the bike you're trying to learn to ride.

    It is all about the technique and how high you can jump. In other words, practice.

      He’s talking about psychics and energy transfe/dispersion through your body to the handle bars and then along with your lower body (legs and hips) hopping up to the moon

    I'm 6'4 and recently bought a new We the People audio and the 9 inch bars seems off, what size bars would you suggest?

    • @258eman
      @258eman Год назад +1

      I'd recommend the Kink Hulk bars or the BSD Raider bars. I'm 6'4 as well and they both feel great at around 30inch wide with a 10inch rise.
