That side was a little tighter but I don’t remember using anything special. A couple open ended wrenches should do the trick. Have fun with your project!

I got the same belt for my 800ex. The box had a new plug with a looped wire to plug back into the socket
That would’ve been nice. All we got was the belts and some stickers
How did you get to the bolt for the tensioner On the passenger side? The gas tank is in the way.

We just did this same mod and had to access both bolts from the top side at the same time. It was a little tight but eventually got it
The passengers side was hard to get at … putting it back together was much easier 😊
