@@SimplyNewEnglandso I tried it on my side by side and mine is set up differently. I’m having a hard time taking the actual seat belt out! I have a 2022 cf moto 800 ex. Any tips for me?!😢
This was a phenomenal DIY on these. I had thought about these on mine....and watched another youtubers rendition that appeared a little more in depth than yours. After Watching yours I can do these. An FYI....Curran RV now has the new upgraded H.O. seats available for purchase for like $1200. I like the seats in my 2020 Z950....but recently sat in a new EX....and really like the way the new seats feel. The new seats have the openings in the seat back to accommodate 2 point uppers...and they look really nice as well. They do have a disclaimer on their website in the seat listing....states that they are a tighter fit in the older models....and that some slight modification to the machine might have to be achieved or they can't guarantee chaffing won't result on the seat material. Boy SNE....an install on those new seats would make for a great episode. Wink wink 😉
Where did the spacer washer disappear to? Bolt, belt, space, frame, lock washer, nut. Now I have to buy a zforce to try it, lol. Will leave passenger side female end there for my dog's thether.
They make a short strap with two loops that hold the harness straps equidistant at the right place , seems like it would be good for this application . Please please please becarfull setting up your own harness. It’s temping to go through the seat slots , but the holes absolutely, and I mean MUST BE ABOVE YOUR SHOULDERS. Otherwise the harness WILL compress your spine. You don’t want that even for normal riding, much less in a severe machine VS Gravity and inertia situation (accident, very hard braking)
well the issue is, you need to connect to the existing seatbelt connectors under the seat. hmnm.. so I would say yes, your just going to put the harness connectors over the existing ones. may need longer bolt, maybe.
Why did every video show the easiest side, the passenger side? The seat has a quick release. What's the easiest way to detach the driver side adjustable seat?
This was great! I am now going to buy my harnesses and watch this again while I do it to my cf moto 800ex!
I'm glad you found it helpful!

lol been a while since this one. lol
I don't remember! haha.
What did you do for the seat belt override on driver side?
All you have to do it just disconnected it. Then cover the ends with some good electrical tape to keep water out of it.

ouch! yeah I definitely did not use the seat openings. they don't sit right on this model anyway. Good advice!!! :).
Question... On my 800EX I left the stock seatbelt on for short easy rides. Do you think it is possible for the 950?

Did you take the retractable part of the belt off
you can, but I didn't.
