Almeida Junior is one of The great artists of Brazil. I have been to Sao Paulo's Pinacotheque museum in the historic city center. Ths museum of red bricks renovated is a beautiful place to see the art that founded the base of the art of Brazil. Earlier in the late 1780's to 1850 aprox the artists painting in Brazil were maily from foriegn countries, England, Holland and France. Almeida Junior had good technique and he used a kind of realist impressionist style in many ways similar to the Frenc
