As a Londoner who loves the US... you hit the nail right on the head. As for access to US media... VPN is your friend... and Costco visiting... I'm your friend haha I have membership and go all the time so if you ever visit here in the future, hit me up. I hope you enjoy reuniting with your people, stores and TV shows when you go back to the US. Going to miss you lots and lots. Thank you for everything whilst here, you are amazing 💜💜💜💜🇺🇲🇬🇧
Never knew about the tough residency laws in the UK, thanks.
You have been a blessing to watch . Please don’t delete your London Content. I know there is MANY I missed and would love to go back through everything. ❤
I remember when you first arrived. Wow time has flown. Super proud of you Paige. 🙏🏼 Safe journey back home 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thank you!! 😊
I've been on this journey with you since you first moved. It takes a lot of courage to do what you've done and it's very inspiring so excited for your next chapter. I pray that life continues to give you an abundance of blessings 🙏🏾
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate that ☺️
@@PaigeMariah😊
I’m literally in tears 🥲 I will miss your London content but excited for the new chapter I hope we will get some family content ❤
For any Americans living in London or abroad, get a VPN so you can view US news, streaming services, etc.
I’m so glad that you have enjoyed your time here in England and wish all the best and positive vibes for your next chapter back in America. Xx
Paige thank you for showing us all the wonderful things about London, I can’t wait to embark on my journey. I’ve been doing some research and found out that I can apply for a 6 month visa. Thank you so much for the information I’ve asked of you and you really really gave me the courage to step out on faith to just do it. Thank You
Awww I’m so excited for you! Thank you for tuning in and good luck to you ☺️🫶🏼
There are Superstores in the UK (i.e. - Tesco's), but not in Central London. You have to go to place like Enfield, Hacking, and etc.
Ehhhh too much trouble without a car lol
@@PaigeMariah not really paige in all due respect..I'm guessing if you stay in zone 1/zone 2 there is a BIG tesco store in West Kensington about 9 minutes walking distance from Earls Court tube station...one love
Is Asda like Walmart? I also heard of Poundland; there are several chains of that store in London.
@@NovemberReigne yes
True, there are superstores but you have to drive to some of them. It depends on where you live. I used to live near superstores and they were within walking distance.
I’m from the US and I love London, that’s where I received my Masters degree. I wanted to stay but in 2017 after graduating I only had 3 months to get sponsored and get a visa. But it was too difficult soI came back to the US. I still love London and would love to live there one day. Good luck in all the future endeavors here in the US.
I like rainy days. So that would not bother me. ❤️ Seasoning on the other hand….. I would be a spicy cloud like pigpen from the peanuts with a purse full of flavor, baby! 😂😂😂
Thanks for the videos and the content created and shared. Really helpful. I relocated in March this year and absolutely love London. I came sponsored from my job late in my career as a single woman. The dating is trash but that was NY as well. Really loving the experience. Good luck in the return and your next chapter. I am sure you will take the memories with you for a lifetime !❤
Any American website have to adhere to European GDPR legislation which is Data protection. Websites can't gather your data without your permission when you visit them here in Europe so many American websites restrict their websites from Europe.
Thank you for this explanation!
Great vid!! This is so relatable! It's soo dark in Sweden in the winter too!
Thank you! & omg I bet
Definitely wouldn’t miss the cold n everyday rain in bloody July. Very depressing country.
I’m so glad to see and hear that you had a great experience, I think I would’ve been exhausted trying to extend my time there as well yes insecure is one of my favorites also I was late to the party I hate that show ended I pray once again that everything goes smoothly with your move London sounds like a great place to live and visit!!!💕💕
☺️☺️💕
I agree family is important especially if you're close with you're family I have moved places in the US where store chains weren't available and I was sad we like the things we like it's our comfort I love me some Trader Joe's Target, Whole Foods, Wal-Mart, chick fil a I get it I'm thinking of moving to Texas from California people keep saying oh it's humid it rains alot has tornadoes and that's ok it's always pros and cons to living anywhere good luck.
Your vlogs made me go to Primark when I was there a few years ago! We don’t have it in ATL. I really like London, and my plan is to go back next June. 😊
Same.
Can't wait for your American videos. I hope you will take us shopping to Walmart, Target etc. 😍 safe journey back home, Paige ❤
Yessss of course I will ☺️ thank you!
I'M WITH YOU, FAMILY COMES FIRST. LOTS OF LOVE 💘 💕 ❤️ 💖 😍
Yes! Thank you!
I love this vlog because the things you mentioned are the same things I don’t miss about living in London😂. That city will always have a special place in my heart because it helped shaped me into the woman I am today. But when I got off the plane back in the U.S. I headed straight to Bojangles!! So I totally understand where you’re coming from! I wish you all the best on your next adventure ❤❤
So relatable! Thank you so much ☺️
Living abroad for a while is something I would love to do and plan on doing❤ Welcome back to the USA 🇺🇸 Gods Blessings 🙏🏽
Love that!!
@@PaigeMariahBest of luck to you 💚
England has some of the best ethnic food!
🙌🏼🙌🏼
So used to people marketing VPN's at this point I really thought the bit about not being able to see certain shows was gonna turn into an advert for a VPN
LOL
Thanks for sharing. Will continue to follow you in the USA. I prefer English products more than American, and that is because I grew up in the Caribbean using English products. Safe travels
Plush European products are more safe then American that use lots of chemical
Fair! Thank you!
I am not surprised about the visa process. I know someone who lives in Paris and they say the same thing about the process. Well, as the world moves forward. so does the visa process. Good luck with your travels. 🎉🎉
Jess on Love and London has just celebrated 🎉10 years in London and plans to apply for citizenship soon she said it would be easier to get permanent residency in Italy she moved to England from New York with her husband not sure if he was from the UK 🇬🇧
Page is friends with Jess from Love and London (they've appeared on each other's vlogs). And yes, Jess' ex- husband is British- they separated in 2019 and are now divorced, but she has been in London long enough to go for citizenship.
❤Thank you for sharing 😊
Realest thing I ever read. "The British invaded other countries for their spices, only to never use them.". LOL!
🤣🤣🤣
I heard the native English food is getting better.
😂😂😂😂😂
@@cocoaorange1no that’s immigrant influence there’s no native british food other than fish and chips and a roast dinner that doesn’t need seasoning
@@cocoaorange1 Americans came to the UK during the war when there was extreme rationing, so their belief was that our food was bad. British food is great and just because you don't spice it up does not make it bad.
I lived in Germany for 6yrs and to be honest, it's better to have come back home and have great places and great friends to visit outside the USA. Just make sure your job is flexible enough for travel or involves travel, and have you miles and points game together. Since I cam back to the US IN 2015, I have averaged 2-3 trips to Europe, except for the Covid years. You will always be a London-er, you can do it all, just plan your trips back to Europe in advance.
Love this comment! Thank you 😊
I really expected you to say you will not miss the screaming foxes.😊
I want to move to England in two years; i pray my dream will come to fruition❤
🙏🏼🙏🏼
I've been here since the beginning of your London videos, I am so proud of you for following your dream!! London has always been my dream, but I would miss my family too much I think. I haven't been able to catch up due to my work hours. Are you moving back for family? Hope everything is ok! Much love and hugs to you from Michigan ❤
Thank you so much!! There’s several reasons but being closer to family is a huge one ☺️🫶🏼
I message you about the process of moving to London two years ago and now im finishing up my masters here! I also saw you coming out of Old st station a few weeks back so I feel like I've come full circle! Also I was so confused about the graduate visa so thank you for clarifying that lmaooo.
Awww I love this!! Hope you’re having the best experience out there ☺️
Good luck Paife, Ill miss your Euro vlogs. Cant wait to see your U.S.. vlogs also.
Thank you!!
@@PaigeMariah Dear Paige, please forgive me for the typo in your name. Aa always keep the vlogs coming. I wish you much success.
You can see why we don't have AC here in England, because this year the weather is very cool even in the middle of summer. So it isn't worth installing it. 2022 was a very unusual year, with hot weather.
Thanks for helping me to transition to the UK from Jamaica, 4 years ago.
Awww glad I could help! 😊
I clicked so fast cause I’m struggggling here 😭. Hoping to move (back) to Paris soon - but also from Chicago!
London is a madness lol, what part are you staying?
Awww really? what do you think is causing the struggle? 💕
@@PaigeMariah I think London is a really difficult city to see oneself in long term… the housing crisis is crazy, if you want to live without flatmates as you get older, it gets near impossible 😭. I love the city but, on the less logical side, there are other cities I connect with more 🫶🏽
@@carlascalling I hear all of this 100%!
Ooh! Thanks for mentioning insecure on Netflix...one of the reasons I have a vpn!😊
Haha I thought VPNs didn’t work on Netflix 🤔
Awe I remember when I was making the decision to move and your videos helped. I'm now in Scotland and girl I miss most of these things as well. There's a Costco here in Edinburgh which I go to often but it's not really like Costco in the US. Ugh it sucks. I went in looking for crab legs and a worker ask, "is that not the part that's thrown away, Sorry no that's not sold here". I was like dude what? 😂
Hahaha wow
Parliament really needs to pass laws allowing air conditioning. The summers are really getting hot there. Chicago's summers are no joke either!
So true lol
The air conditioning is something that I will never understand…it’s been a really hot summer in London
Great vid loved it 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Glad you enjoyed it!! ☺️☺️
Hope you still do video when you are back in America
Of course!!
I'm in the UK but from Virginia. Will hit my 5 years soon and plan to apply for permanent residency. Wish i could have met you.
Awww early congrats on on your permanent residency!!
@@PaigeMariah Thank You🙂
'Being so far away from my family' comes under 'what I won't miss about living abroad'...the 'in London' bit is superfluous, that applies almost anywhere!
since this is my channel, my video, & my list lol…I’m going to include what applies to me and my life.
@@PaigeMariahtell it Ms. Paige 😂😂😂
You could have used a VPN hack to get around the Internet region walls in America.
True! Not for Netflix though lol
The problems you were having with accessing websites has to do with laws that the UK and EU countries have passed. Website creators have to include code and functions that comply with those rules. If they don’t those countries block those websites.
I know you can't wait to go back to Walmart! lol Even Walmart isn't much of a thing here in LA so it's strange whenever I go. But I love me some Trader Joe's!
Can't wait! 😆
I totally agree, when I was in the UK for a few months I was missing Target, Ulta, and Trader Joes so much. Asda Bradford Superstore became my favorite store and reminded me so much of Walmart.
Yessss I’m so excited to be closer to those stores again lol
Take care❤try not to have to much fun back home
Lol thanks Paul
Me , I never did meet you
That's why I have a VPN so I could read American stuff!
😆
No ac is wild 😅
Ours is an indoor country and summer comes in instalments. 😂
Do they not sell air conditioners there?
I wish I have someone to pay for my Masters. I'd be back in London in a heartbeat.
I hear that!
The UK sounds like Seattle 😅
I've had the same issues and news articles are blocked due to GDPR. Those websites didn't want to comply with it. Big yikes, because why you not respecting my data? But it is what it is.
True!!
Am not trying to fight to leave in the uk hell no
use VPN
Hey I remember you, I wondered what happened to you and your channel...
I’m still here! lol
you needv a VPN, it hides where you are.
❤️❤️💌💌
Chile....I ran off the plane to have some fish and chips and it tasted like water. I was so disappointed 😞.
😂😂
😂😂😂
When you lived in London did you still have to pay income taxes in the US? If so does that mean you’d be double taxed?!
US citizens living abroad are obligated to file BUT it doesn't always mean taxes are due.
Uk seems to have sum flip flop things which is understandable not everyone can be the Great United States we da best !😊
What about some foxes or coyotes? My friend was telling me something about loud noises from animals. I was like WTF?? I would be freaked out 😂
lol One time my aunt sent me a picture of a massive fox in her garden!
@@uscitizen3252 omg I would DIE!!!! Because my blind self would think it’s a dog, but soon find out it’s not 😳😂
We have coyotes in Chicago, that is scary.
We don’t have coyotes in London LOL but yeah definitely foxes mostly coming out at night. But Hayhoe, they keep down the rats. My friend went to Jersey to visit friends and family. They’re coming back from a night out, pulling up on the driveway, where they were staying, where they saw a big elk strolling down the street she could not believe it, especially as my friend lived in the middle of a very urban populated area.Elk and moose. Just wondering around freely at night trying to tip over peoples rubbish bins mad shit.I guess every country has their wildlife issues LOL
Yeah British ppl need to put some flavour on their food mahn. I cannot do bland food,no ma'am. Im black & African so give me that flavour Sir!! Lol
