Just wanted to throw out there that I do, in fact, dig the yap sessions. I'm always on the go so these 20-30 min long explanation videos do more for me than purely watching matches. Hope you been well bro.
1 thing i think u forgot to mention is magmar learns clear smog that maybe is the reason u choose it over other follow me pokemon , and i really like that electabuzz learns volt switch so not only protects the pokemon in play u can safely pivot a pokemon in the back (and yes if u want to do that dont invest in its speed )
In the context of VGC, I think they'd be able to figure it out. Fast accurate sleep powder is good. They'd probably figure it was some regional format, which where a lot of the jankier mons appear
Thank you for this, it was really helpful. About the last part of the video I quite like Sinistcha next to Annihilape as an alternative for the classic Maus/Ape core. I personally don't really like playing Maushold, but I love Annihilape, and pairing it with hospitality as it's not buffed by beat up comes in quite handy
Compoundeyes Sleep Powder is actually 98% because of the combination of the 5325/4096 multiplier and the quirks of the “pokeround” function that is used in a few places including this sort of accuracy check. If Compoundeyes was actually a 1.3x boost, then it would be 97% accurate, but Compoundeyes actually being a ~1.30004883x accuracy boost makes a meaningful difference here.
Does that difference actually matter? That’s super interesting since like 0.75 x 1.3 is 0.975, so 97.5%, whereas 0.75 x 1.30004883 is 97.50366225%, so I guess it rounds down on 0.5s, but because it’s higher than 0.5 it rounds up? Really really cool if that’s the case
Pokemon has three rounding schemes depending on the step. Most people just simplify it to floor rounding, which is the case in most cases, but there are parts that use “round half down”, and parts that use “round half up”. In this case, yes it’s using “round half down”.
Little did the word know that the real redirection king is Ariados because of its iconic 4x resist to close combat and 2x resist to poison. No one is ready for the sleep absorbing Rage Powder clicking Ariados 🫡
Its niche is as a very reliable fake out-immune trick room setter, but its extremely passive and mostly outclassed by indeedee since psy terrain gives you the fake out immunity anyways
Hey I saw your electabuzz EV spread and I think it would be more efficient to go timid to reach 181 speed instead of bold as electabuzz has only 57 Defense
female learns follow me while male does not. female is also slower which is better for trick room. there was a finalist at the lille regional recently who used male indeedee with a choice scarf tho
like this is always my problem i make a team and i have like 1 redirect pokemon and i make like 12 copies of the team and i try all of them , and then i say maybe this grass type over the one have and i make 12 more copies with the difrent grass types may work and then i say oo this was good grass type but maybe with the other follow pokemon and i do 12 more copies , but then i say my hydragon maybe needs earth power and i make 6 more copies of the team with difrend items and moves and it never ends, plz if anyone is pro here and have a solution or any tip to help me, like i swear i have the dormunt winning team as copy of copy of copy of a team since 1or 2nd week of the format and i literly scraped the Annihilape coz wasnt good enough for in favor of gyarandos or inciniroar or volcorona and then i made milion difrend varients of this choises
Don't sit too much time on the builder, play 10-15 relevant games with one team, and then come back to the builder and analyze if you need changes or not
12:02 “ignore that piplup” damn what he do lol

16:53 "dont have the same kind of burst damage as magmar overheat"
Idk that just sounds funny lmao
Also Volcarona overheat

12:00 hold up... I kinda wanna know about that Piplup
I don't think anyone would believe 10 years ago that vivillon would be good now.
“10 years ago” it’s so over

tbf if not for tera and lower power level it wouldn't be
The ruleset really helps. I'm sure if Megas were banned the way Paradox and Legendary Pokémon are now, it might've seen some use.
It’s got a higher bst than butter free people found out 5 years ago that vivillion would be good
Thank you for this, it was really helpful.

Love the thumbnail, imagine directing a pokemon’s space ship to another planet like clefable and crashing into it and clefable lives
12:01 No I won´t wtf >:(
I think I miss my Ogerpon

@@superzenmodeman really interesting, thank you!
Clefable do be eating up them hits
Companion piece to Jeudy's Redirection Personality Analysis hell yeah
Sinistcha is amazing into Dozo with strength sap and completely protects your partner pokemon with rage powder against Ursaluna

we're getting spoiled with these yap sessions
this is super helpful, thank you!
The protip telliing Mr Moxie to change EVs lol
the stats on electabuzz threw me off until i realized it’s at level 60
Volcarona is a pretty nice Rage Powder mon with its supportive set too
I LOVE THE YAP VIDEOS!!
Thanks for all of your content!! Do you think there’s a place for dusclops? In my opinion it seems under explored!
Its niche is as a very reliable fake out-immune trick room setter, but its extremely passive and mostly outclassed by indeedee since psy terrain gives you the fake out immunity anyways
Moxie boosted would never be the best redirection Pokemon in regulation H

Showdown now shows if an EV spread is unoptimal at the bottom of the screen, so yeah it is more efficient by 48 EVs
Friend guard Maushold’s last soldier (not strongest) ((me))
Loving the Hawk Yap session
on a roll since yesterday
Why do VGC meta use indeedee female over male when male learns expanding force?
female learns follow me while male does not. female is also slower which is better for trick room. there was a finalist at the lille regional recently who used male indeedee with a choice scarf tho

@@juliii1801 i do play every version i think my issue is im not trying to make a team work im trying to make the best team as if im going to worlds xD
Sounds like you need to spend more time learning one individual variant of the team before making changes
