    Part of me feels sorry for Alex in story 3. He obviously comes from a broken home and never really learned how to act or be around people. That doesn’t justify him breaking into the storyteller’s house, but he sounds like someone that just wanted friends to make up for the lack of love and companionship he wasn’t getting at home. Hope Alex was able to move past his bad childhood, or at the very least stop breaking into houses.

    While I do feel bad about Alex and his circumstances in the last story, I think too many people are failing to acknowledge how terrified and potentially traumatized the storyteller was. An obsessive kid breaking into your room is scary enough, but given that Alex was older and also clearly living in a dysfunctional and potentially abusive household, he may have been dangerous as well. I will always have empathy for anyone who suffers through abuse but at the same time we have to recognize that unfortunately and tragically, the abused person can become dangerous themselves.

    Story 1: I can't help but feel I heard this story before, a sense of Deja Vu. The tale of the older brother being hurt and the parents forgetting the lock the door rings familiar.
    Story 2: So a demonic entity pretending to be some guy in a picture got upset at someone taking away a batman toy the little man adored and threw a grill and a tantrum. That's genuinely scary. Although next time, rebuke the spirit in Jesus name (James 2:19) instead of breaking your kid's favorite toy. Even if you break the fixation of a demon, it'll just go look for a new one, hence the attack on the grill. It's also why the infamous haunted doll Robert is contained instead of destroyed, it keeps the demon from roaming free.
    Story 3: Very clearly, Alex's mom is disconnected from responsibility unless she has to do it or else. Alex probably saw OP as the one person who actually cared about him since his parents didn't seem to, but clearly Alex needs to learn that obsession is not healthy. I hope things got better for him once he got away from that house.

    • @everettrailfan
      @everettrailfan 7 месяцев назад +3

      I would be careful telling people to go around rebuking spirits. I'm not necessarily saying demons don't exist but since all of special revelation has been revealed in the Bible, God has no need to interrupt the natural order by performing miracles anymore. Acts 19:11-20 depicts some Jewish brothers who tried and failed to exorcise a spirit (granted they were trying to capitalize on Paul's works for their own glory, but the point still stands). God has already defeated Satan and his demons, and nothing we do can change that.

    Alex's story really makes one think! On surface level, it does come off as creepy and disturbing encounter, that being said the kid clearly was raised in an abusive household, maybe abused and neglected which attributed to his bizarre behavior. He went too far I understand but OP formed a tunnel vision about him from the get-go. It's tacky how OP looked down on Alex from the very beginning given he lived in a shabby house and he had no friends. Poor kid was socially awkward and understandably so! Story 3 - Having your boundaries violated is always disturbing, but I’m impressed that many can recognize that Alex was lonely and in a lot of pain due to his homelife. Your description of his behaviour suggests he's never had a friend & has poor role models as parents & thus why he exhibited underdeveloped social skills & poor decision making. I just hope that he eventually made a friend that could see past his quirks & broken life so that his childhood wasn't completely marred by dejection until he grew into an adult blinded by clinical depression & pathological hatred. I hope he got a chance in life 🙏❤🙏

    Not to undermine how terrifying the ordeal must have been for the person in story #3, but that Alex kid was definitely not going to murder him. He was probably living in a neglectful home and saw the other kid as a means of getting real affection, hence why he was getting physically close to him and asked to sleep in his bed. I hope he eventually got the help he needed and is able to live a proper life now.

    Bro the storyteller of the 3rd story sounds like a bigger psychopath than Alex himself. At the end he said "I'm scared of the person he grew up to be" while not realizing that he could have had some bearing on how he grew up. He could have been nicer and not tried to bale out of interactions with him to make Alex feel more appreciated and at home. Alex showed no actual signs of wanting to harm him. Sure the window smashing and general actions of trespassing aren't exactly justifiable but he knew that Alex wasn't raised in the best home based on the fact that his house was completely trashed and unkept. He was likely so desperate to escape his home that he saw it as his only option. In the end, all the author cared about was his image and not wanting to be seen hanging out with "the weird kid". Even writing the story as an adult he seemed to have no guilt for not hanging with him more nor sorrow for the home Alex grew up in. He only told the story in his own perspective without a care for Alex's and tried to paint Alex as the villain with no good inside.

      Ok so you would be fine someone breaking into your house late at night? Not just that has a weapon with them? How would you feel? Cause me I wouldnt feel all butterflies and flowers if some wacko kid had a weapon. So you blame the victim making it seem like hes the issue. He wanst part of that kids family. He has no obligation to that kid. And talking as someone who was abused by family your comment pisses me off. Id never EVER think it would be ok for me to break into someones house with a weapon and expect everyone to be ok with me. You want the person to give one shit about some obsessive, aggressive kid who could have killed him? Kids have killed other kids before so why are you acting like the op is overreacting. At first I felt for Alex. But you start doing stuff like that Im not caring about you. You come into MY HOUSE. Break MY WINDOW, and you dare have a weapon and Im supposed to be cool with that ? I went through hell in my life, Im surprised Im alive. But what I cant stand is when the victim is shamed but the aggressor is coddled. He did a crime and he should have paid for it PERIOD.

    I truly feel for Alex. Not to sound like a religious fanatic, but I pray God blesses Alex with the knowledge of his self worth as a child of God. I was a weird kid too until one day finding a prayer (Dec., 12. 1976) in the pew ahead of us. After 3 attempts to* leave earth in 3 months prior to seeing this prayer at 10 yrs of age, I was willing to try anything. After 1 week of praying 3x a day for a week - my life really did change - and the life of my entire family. 48 years later - I realize that little prayer really did change my life - finding Christ was the greatest discovery of my life and countless others in the proceeding decades. I'm getting old now, but realizing I was put here for a reason changed everything.

It sounds like he was being raised in an abusive household and not in a good home, considering the house was so dirty and he thought it was necessary to leave the house when his parents were arguing. He probably just wanted to make friends, although that doesn't justify him breaking into the house through the window. I really hope that Alex's doing a lot better now...

    It's nice seeing everyone else talk about the Alex story. It definitely rubbed me the wrong way as it was more sad to hear then scary. It's all in the details that makes it sound like the household he was living in clearly wasn't the best or maybe even downright abusive, so him acting "weird" could've been from not having anyone to connect to or not knowing how to communicate with other kids his age. I truly hope he's doing better now and is living the way he wants.

    I'm so glad that previous commenters have brought up that Alex, in the final story, was almost certainly being abused and neglected, and was doing his best to seek safety and refuge without really knowing how. I grew up in a severely abusive and neglectful family, and I absolutely was an "Alex." I wanted safety, comfort, love and acceptance so badly, but had no idea how to get those things in a socially acceptable way -- nor did I have anyone to teach me how to make friends and function in relationships in a healthy manner -- so I clung desperately to friends until I drove them away from me, disregarded boundaries until I made others angry and resentful, showed a degree of neediness that I knew wasn't okay, and was resulting in my getting bullied, but I didn't know how else to behave...I was a really, REALLY messed up kid. Any adult should have seen the phrase "ABUSED CHILD" blinking like an all-night diner sign over my head, but no one interfered -- it was bystander syndrome all the way, for years and years. Point being, I could totally see myself making a choice like Alex did, and trying to sleep in a friend's bedroom in the middle of the night. I can feel that desperation, to this day. I hope Alex ended up being okay. No kid should ever have to feel that needy, desperate or unloved.

    While I feel a little bad for Alex's lack of friends and dysfunctional home life, he was an older kid creeping on a younger boy and there have been a lot of cases of children being sexually abused by older kids. The obsessive stalking, invading the storyteller's personal space, as well as breaking into his home and trying to get in bed with him, all raises some serious red flags 🚩🚩🚩

      @@mattr.1887you’d be shocked. I would totally agree in every other situation but this kid was abused, neglected, and probably not taught proper social skills and just being slightly behind in those skills can greatly impact you. • @sabzc3898
      @sabzc3898 7 месяцев назад +20

      Alex's parents were neglectful so they never did their job and taught him what was right from wrong. They were also possibly abusive, to him or each other or both and being a witness or a victim to it constantly would absolutely warp your brain into normalizing such abuse and not being able to learn healthy ways to express negative emotions. And also just being shunned by kids his own age, besides it being hurtful and lonely, is also damaging to a young, developing brain. Kids need to hang out with other kids to know social cues and what's generally appropriate. Alex saw OP as the new kid that didn't know about his family's reputation and wanted a fresh start with a new friend but sadly, didn't know how to act normally and that's not his fault.

    • @PunmasterSTP
