Wonderful...I remember seeing Alec at Chivvy cross in the 90's..I envy and admire him for living the life he wanted to live..It is now virtually impossible to live like Alec did. There is so much hatred and intolerance...We have lost the plot and we will pay very heavily for that...It has already started...
Everyone runs around going nowhere..whilst the traveler.. just moves at their own pace..in no hurry to go anywhere..or get there..and some people object to them..I sometimes wonder if it's envy. House dwellers worry on how to pay their mortgage and other bills, work in jobs they hate..etc. while the traveler only thinks about where to stop next..to put the well used soot blackened kettle on for a refreshing cuppa and fry up bacon and eggs..Their TV is nature and surrounding sky. The stars in the sky and gentle breeze refreshes them as they sit by the fire and daydream. I am 71, now, but at one point my younger self had had enough of the rat race and took to the road..hitchhiking around the UK..sleeping wherever I found a dry place to unfold my sleeping bag, and rest for the night. I took odd jobs on farms etc..to replenish my funds..berry picking..sorting carrots on a farm..cutting cauliflower and cabbages, cutting out old canes on raspberry fields, cleaning up around farms..I also traveled with the fairground for a while, and never claimed unemployment. I was not a gypsy or new age traveller..just a young man who was tired of the same old shit day after day.
Just out of interest how did alec die, such, a.kind, careing guy, if we were all like him, we would have a happeir world' to live in, I will see him, again, john ch,,5 v,28,-29, in the resurrection, such a wonderfull man, bless him, christie,,, notts
