I’m subscribed to a bunch of handyman channels, but yours is the only one that I watch regularly. What I love about your channel is that you video the real life of helping people with their problems, how you do it, and how you deal when the problems end up having problems.
I don't comment on every video, but I do watch them all. I'm always curious what the next problem you'll tackle will be. Even though it does seem like it's mostly plumbing stuff lately. But hey, whatever pays the bills. I was going to say my one cleaning service boss was also hired as a handyman for a big apartment complex several years ago. We the workers also helped out on some jobs, but mainly we'd clean carpet or floors while he did his handyman stuff, the cleaning service work was slow at that time, I guess it was when covid first started. Anyways they had a huge flood from the third floor down, six apartments were flooded front to back. The manager told him just to suck up water and turn fans on. Don't check any walls for moisture or do anything extra. Since we do that type of work, he did check walls and they were soaked and a breeding ground for mold. So he told her we did cut walls and run dehumidifiers to dry things out. Well after everything was all back to normal they told him he either do what they say to do or quit. He quit. It was for the better anyways. They never wanted anything done right.
Most drain cleaners contain similar ingredients either potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide which are very caustic alkaline compounds. I do enjoy watching your videos.
Bring a small, battery powered fan (with magnets on the bottom) to help the airflow (it could be set on the window, etc.) - would probably help quite a bit.
In the restaurant industry, a strategy to boost the selling price could be to temporarily remove an item from the menu for approximately six months. After this hiatus, reintroduce the item to the menu at a higher price.
I work for a large company and we are not allowed to carry chemicals or anything else that may have an oder. Mechanical drain clearing only. We are also not allowed to use bleach or anything else of the kind on mildew spots or god forbid mold. The problem here is the Oder can send sensitive people into asthma attacks and very sensitive people can fall out and require emergency care. Guess who pays the bills on that? Even paint has to be done after hours or weekends when people are not around. We do commercial properties so we have to deal with way more people than residential but you should keep it in mind. The multi national company I work for sure trains us about it.
I don't much care for the way the other handyman channels do things. I only have one sub and regularly watch 10ish channels not exactly a power user here. Your defently a must watch even if it's just drain clearing lately. Like in the last video I said it just takes one good account to make you way too busy. I'm glad you found your own tan offwhite whale 🐋. We charge 75 to 100 an hour plus materials and people are glad to pay it instead of plumbers at 160+ or electricians at 200+ (portland area is expensive west coast prices). I know people in my hometown midwest that get 40 an hour for the same work all depends on the area. I think the sweet spot is what we call stupid things aka simple work. People need it and are generally willing to pay for the convenience. Chemicals are a liability in my book. I can do a new p trap with thin wall if things leak in fact it almost warn customers there cheap parts fail from time to time. I don't reuse supply lines unless there darn near new stuff like that. Standards will protect you may offend people but if it does they are not the customers you want. Keep them coming and maybe something besides drains? More electrical that's my favorite!
just buy some carbon filters and build kind of a duct around a medium sized fan to extract and filter out the fumes. if you look it up on google youll get this Yes, activated carbon filters can remove some harsh chemicals from the air, including hazardous fumes and toxic gases. These filters are made from activated carbon, also known as activated charcoal, which is a porous material that's highly attracted to gases, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). When air passes through the filter, the gases and odors come into contact with the carbon and bond to its surface through a process called adsorption. The gas molecules then remain trapped in the filter and can't circulate back into the air. exactly what i used to do just make sure its a semi decent fan and filter you should only need to replace the filter every every 1-2 months depending on how many jobs you do.
He's not wrong I tell people depends on what it is. If it's roofing repair work I set expectations and limit what I promise to the customer. They don't have to like the price at least your honest with them.
You seem relatable to a lot of us and you do quality work, that's why you're getting views. I'm really surprised that you don't have more subs...alot of guys post daily or close to it and are killing it on their subs. Then again, My bro in law posts once a week and has like 250k 🤣
Yes I haven't been posting a lot lately but of course I want to post more but I doesn't always work out like that. Yea 250,000 subs is crazy! Dude is killing it. I appreciate the support!!
The reason for the large amount of views is, “you mind if I record on RUclips for educational purposes” we’re all waiting for NO 🤣 Man you’re stubborn, take the dam stopper off the sink ! Take precautions when dealing with chemicals if there’s another chemical in that clogged drain you going to have a chemical reaction which can severely burn you. Anyway you’re still the clog master, stay safe👍👍
Lol 🤣🤣🤣 I want them to say yes so bad!! . Dude I was like I'm over this I'm using the monster. Yesterday when I put it in the kitchen sink dude it boiled so high and shooting . Scary stuff, ur right but at least other stuff isn't in the pipe cus it was dry and ran water. Lol this stuff is making me lazy bro!!
@@thehandymanexperience226 most of those drains are pvc plastic even though you running water many chemicals such as powders stick to the porous walls of plastic I had an experience with a plastic measuring cup I used to measure liquid fertilizer about a month later I was adding powder chlorine to the pool I couldn’t find the measuring cup that came with the chlorine I went in the garage and took the plastic measuring cup that I had used for the fertilizer I washed it with warm water and dried it I scooped the chlorine and while walking to the pool the plastic cup went on fire the entire bottom melted onto the concrete burning my feet and hand. You need to be serious and cautious dealing with these drain chemicals. Stay out of harms way!
Maybe bring a m12 or Ryobi fan with you and try and evacuate the area. It's ryobi days chances are there's a fan on the battery promo if you don't own one yet
You should expand your videos into other handyman repairs or property manager property repairs. The clogged drains get a little repetitious. Many viewers are watching to learn new skills or better methods.
Maybe rename your channel to Clogmaster 😊 Also agree with the other comments about you being a regular guy. No pretense. I would also watch out for the Blue Monster stuff. What you do/breathe WILL affect you later in life.
You have to be so careful with blue monster, liquid fire etc. draino is not nearly as concentrated as what you’re using. Blue monster hasn’t caused a pipe to leak for you yet but the discoloration on the vanity is a sign of what is to come. If you’re dead set on using it, unsolicited recommendation is only use it on the 1st floor. You should not have to wear PPE to clean a simple bathroom sink drain. I don’t use that stuff cuz you never know what customer/tenant has for a health issue on top of that and you would be responsible, just The negatives out weigh the positives.
BTW I STARTED WATCHING YOUR SERIES THIS WEEKEND, THE MAYOR OF KINGSTON. AWESOME
Lol not sure what that is lol not sure if ur making fun of me lol 😆
I really like how you show the complete process and get us into the nitty gritty. Its like someone guiding you over the shoulder.
Awesome!! Another clogged drain lol.
Lol 😆 stop picking on me lol 😆

Lol 😆 when the problems start having problems 🤣 I love this cus it's the total truth. I'm going to steal this!!! Thanks for the support!!!!
You and the apartment maintenance guy are my top two I watch on repairing stuff.
That's a big youtuber! I feel special!! I appreciate the support!!

Yea I'll definitely have to start looking into this stuff for sure!! Thank you!!!
Keep up the great work! Love this channel dude.
Thanks dude! I appreciate it!! My dad said I was the milk man's kid lol 😆
You should get a jet setter… ie snake with pressure washer tip on the end sprays as you go
Bring a small, battery powered fan (with magnets on the bottom) to help the airflow (it could be set on the window, etc.) - would probably help quite a bit.
Yea I got one, I should probably use it
Good evening from the UK 👍👍☺️
Woooo ! I love how utube travels the world!!
Reason why you're getting views is that you come across as a nice decent gentleman also hello from the UK 🇬🇧

Thank you!!! I appreciate it!!!!

Now I never heard of this, definitely a smart idea

On roofing jobs and high roofing and siding repairs I charge just $500 to go out there. Then an hourly depending on what needs to be done
Definitely sounds like awesome money ! Man I feel cheap!!

Goodjob😊😊

Yea the more I edit thr more I realize I mumble when I talk. Lol 😆
algo pump baby !!!!!
Yeeee hawww!!!
What does blue monster do to stainless steel on a sink?
I would say that's the perfect senaro . I'm starting to think it wouldn't be smart to put it in a composet/ plastic sink
Someone's marketing check didn't clear....😉
Hahahaha 😆 😂 😆 I didn't get this right 😅 I got it now
Blue monster drain banger is sodium hydroxide aka lye. Prestry much the same as every off the shelf products. Concentration changes the effectiveness.
Yea I never used drain cleaners. I bought it and tried it and I'm blown away. Is this stuff just super concentrated?
One of the main ingredients in Drano too

What was the point of using those gloves if you put the mask on with the nasty gloves??? Just wondering..
