FOUR x Powercars, Class 68 ACCELERATING Hard, TRACTOR & Very LOUD Voyager Tones! Stafford 17/07/24

- A lovely mix of workings, liveries and locos at Stafford today with Rail Adventures repurposed HST Powercars out on duty for a unit drag.. Also seen headed southbound is 37409 with one of the Chairman's rolling stock. A mix of FL liveries with 66587, 66509 making an appearance alongside the stock green FL colours.
A very loud Voyager making it's presence known also - Hat tip to the big smile from the obliging driver.

I miss hearing the 68's thunder through Weaverthorpe, they have such a beautiful sound, unique to them.
No matter how hard I try, I can't like that pink livery on that shed.

Wen I was a lot younger in the 50 I saw the end of steam and the arrival of diesel locomotive omg it was something out of the future then went they brought out the inter 125 to me they were like space craft and the 90 totally amazing and to see so many classics locomotive still working hard it's great but the trains like the pandalenos ect to me are junk sorry if that upsets people wen is see the great western trains all I can remember is the steam and the chocolate and cream carriages the locomotive to day are like cars all clones in the day of diesel and steam you could hear the class before you saw even the old green DMU you the sound from a class 37 to a 52 or a 47 to a deltic rember wen we used to build loco all the great loco shops gone
HST power heads with MTU diesel made in Germany!! Without class 66 no cargo traffic !

Hiya Tom, just to let you know that there is a Travelodge hotel in Stafford town centre area. It's not far from the railway station bud. I work as a long distance truck driver and occasionally I have night's out on one of the industrial estates just outside of Stafford and I get a taxi from where I parked up to the railway station and stay a couple of hours before heading back to the truck.

@@tomward3656 No problem Tom, glad I could be of help.... There is a Premier Inn just outside of Stafford (just off the A34 & M6 junction, but it's a bit of a distance to walk to the railway station (unless you wanted to pay for a taxi). So hence the reason why I suggested the Travelodge, as it's a bit nearer..... Take care anyway bud.
