anyway let me introduce you to the members! suuuuuper long comment incoming. pretty sure you've already read the profiles, but that one is a little outdated. - The violinist and leader, Shin Yechan 🎻 he doesn't sing in most of their songs but he has a very good deep bass breathy voice when singing. Prior to LUCY, he's already part of another famous busking band and was trained classically (for 20+ years!!) until he decided that he likes busking more. - Choi Sangyeop 🐿 the main vocalist and frontman, is the last to join. before sangyeop, we have another frontman & vocal (Lee Juhyuk) but he left (peacefully, dw. It's normal in k-band to drop, change members, or to be in multiple bands) because he want to focus with his other band (GIFT) so they recruited Sangyeop who was also a busker at the time, and was working as a professional BGM producer for a LOT of k-dramas. instrumentals, OSTs, you name it. - Cho Wonsang 🦝 our bassist and producer, is a musical & bass genius. before LUCY he's part of a producing group and has already produced & involved in many songs for other idols like WJSN, Minx, etc (mostly girl groups). - Shin Gwangil 🐻❄️ the vocal and drummer, is actually.... not a drummer from the start! he's a vocalist and bassist who happened to be able to play drum, and the band need a drum, soo.... here he is! he practically can play any instruments and was a song-writer trainee before LUCY. he also has an extraordinary discography on his scloud prior to LUCY as well. as you can see, most members already have an established career before LUCY as a musician. They met by chance during a survival show called Superband, won as a runner up with Juhyuk as frontman, and then changed their line up and debuted with Sangyeop instead. Wholesome & Childhood are their constant theme within their discography. Their music explore more about life and how not to lose that childlike innocence whilst navigating your adulthood. Despite Wonsang being the main producer, each member sometimes, produce, write, and arrange songs as well. Their songs are also known for its difficulty levels and being a bit more sophisticated for a pop music (their recent b-side, Hot!, is..... challenging for sure). Unsurprisingly, they also havea LOT of musician fans, ahahaha (and a lot of idols too). But nowadays, with them being crowned as the recent festival kings & the represntative of kband scene, their songs reached more general public as well! you know what, I'm sorry for this, I just got too excited and I've written long enough, but if you want me to introduce you to more LUCY, I'll be happy to!!
OMG! yes!! i saw your comment on tt!, so i've been waiting for this!! LUCY is a k-band! most k-band usually are indie or more underground, but LUCY is one of the few that goes to a more hybrid route (more idol-ish), but they're indeed less.... commercialized(?) than their dancing idols counterparts, which is probably why you've never heard of them till now. if you're interested in k-band, i assure you it's a whole new world of amazing and talented musicians. XDHeroes, cnblue and Day6 are one of the idol bands. We have Jannabi, Silica Gel, Nerd Connection, etc on the indie scene. LUCY is in the middle of that spectrum, they're half and half. their contents are more idol like, but their circle & image to public is more (and is often categorized as) indie, soooo hybrid ahahaha
My fav K-band and one of my ULTs (with Dreamcatcher, Pixy and TripleS) i don't believe that a group can have a no skip discography (even my ULTs have songs that i don't like) but they are the closest to that so that's why Wonsang (the bassist) is my fav producer in the industry.
Woah, how did I only just find this reaction! I live for LUCY reactions because it's just always healthy for the soul. Thank you! You're insights were really fun to listen too. I would 100% love more LUCY reactions! Maybe you can react to a guide as well, they are really funny and it's a hoot getting to know their goofy personalities.

They have a unique format for a band, aside from having a violin, they also (arguably) don't have a guitarist (i know sangyeop play guitar, but he's more of a vocalist and doesn't do the usual role of the of a guitarist). the violin replacing the role of lead guitar, and the bass sometimes doing double role as a bass and also do a lot of fills like a key or synth usually does in an arrangement. Overall, with what one might think a limited range and options, they managed to do plenty with it. They have many comforting & wholesome songs, i hope you'll react to more of their music and performances!!
@@deandeadedyea, but this format influences their sound as well even with the added guitar & piano me thinks. afterall their songs have to be playable with this instruments and format, so the base of their songs also follows this. it's just my personal observation anyway 🤷♀️ my take on why lucy song sounds and structured quite unique to me lol
lucy is incredible my ults are onewe but lucy come right after them as my fav band, i love lucy so much they have such bright nostalgic songs my fav songs by them that u haven't reactes to yet are hero, play (with mv) and eclipse, stove

Lucy is my fave band!!!! absolutely life-changing discography. I recommend Irrelevant Answer, Rolling Rolling, You're Right, So What, and Knowhow
