    Tried to do a 'faster' tips and tricks video with this one. Do you guys prefer longer, more in-depth videos, or is this pace good? Thanks for watching!

    For a quick tips video it's about right. Longer follow up would nice.
    Another tip you might mention is to prepare your phone before you insert it, like unlock it, turn up your volume to hear messages, adjust lighting for current light conditions.
    Nice job I learned several useful features.

      Hey there Michael, I got some feedback saying my videos were too long so I tried to make a shorter video. Personally, I love longer videos but was testing this to see how this format worked. Maybe in the future I can make a more in-depth setup video? Thanks for watching and your feedback!

      Thanks for the kind words, Joshua! I always have a hard time trying to make content that isn't too "beginner", but also isn't so technical it puts people to sleep. Glad to hear you enjoy the videos!

    I always keep my phone in the case, and was kind of frustrated when the DJI C cable did not make a good connection (or none at all) sometimes. In order to solve this, I ordered an extension of C connector and problem solved. Yes, it is one more thing to worry about and connect, but it gurantees a locked and connected cable from the controller to the phone. Great video and thank you for the tips and advice.

      I haven't experienced any connection issues with my RC/Phone. I'm using an Otterbox defender case on my phone which is pretty bulky as well. What case are you using? You're welcome for the tips and thanks for watching

      @@keith-knittel my case is Poetic for one plus 6 and the connector did not properly lock so before the 1st flight I got the extender. No issues at all. I paid $7 for two extenders in amazon and peace of mind.

      @@keith-knittel No, I'm just a total newb and just a bit of an idea of what to look for on the histogram (like do you want it flat/even across?) The zebra stripes are pretty self explanatory, but I really thought those were great tips

    Hi there, thanks for your time with this. I've had a Mavic Air 2 for a couple of months and am getting a GPS settings warning (like an intermittent flashing symbol) ... is this relating to the compass settings? When I tap on it it's referencing GPS settings but it's not clear what it's asking me to do. By the way, this has been happening when not at particularly great distances. Thanks again

    • @keith-knittel
      @keith-knittel  4 года назад

      Can you go into your flight logs and see what kind of error it is? You can “replay” your flights and see the warnings that come in screen while you’re flying. Interesting problem, thanks for watching and commenting

    The USB-C port allows you to download files from both, the Mavic's internal storage (8GB) and the micro SD card you install. When you say "manage internal storage" you are correct if you're including the microSD card as "internal storage." Else, it sounds like the USB-C port only allows access to the internal storage and that you'd have to remove the microSD card to download files.

    • @keith-knittel
      @keith-knittel  4 года назад +1

      Hey there mark, thanks for pointing that out. I use a usb reader so I remove my card from the drone to transfer files. I was always removing the wrong door thinking it was the sd card. Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll try to be more clear in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting

    Your wrong about POINTING THE ANTENNAS!!
    Read the manual.
    It actually says point the top of your antennas towards your drone. So if you got your antennas kind of pointing upward towards the Sky to look at your video you're not getting the optimum range if your drone is far away from you in a straight line.
    It's right there in the manual. they even have a nice little picture for us to show you how to point it towards your drone.
    ;)

    • @keith-knittel
      @keith-knittel  3 года назад

      Wouldn’t recommend pointing the remote away from your drone, I meant on previous models of dji drones you used to have two antennas you needed to flip out and adjust relative to your drone. You don’t have to do this with the mavic air 2, as there are no antennas to adjust. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Anyone know what IRE value the zebra is?

    • @keith-knittel
      @keith-knittel  4 года назад

      That’s a great question and I’m not sure exactly. I feel like it’s 75-85% but have absolutely no research to back that’s up. The zebras aren’t completely blown out when playing it back. I’ll try to do some tests! Thanks for the great question and watching

    Another one here: That one drone, same tips, same gear, same words, same filters (from the same two companies), same desk, same lighting, this one's with a beard, the other with a backwards hat. Let's assume, we have all this gear: What makes you stand out? (that Cadillac movie on your website, now that is special, why not how-to that?) Sorry man, I am not a troll and really wanted to subscribe, but I guess I am going to bed.

    • @keith-knittel
      @keith-knittel  2 года назад +1

      All totally valid questions, sometimes I ask people what videos they would like to see - and videos like this come up pretty commonly. I try to make videos that I would like, as well as the viewers. Thanks for complimenting the Cadillac video, put a ton of work and pre-planning into that and maybe I will make a how to on that. If you have any ideas, let me know. This video was a viewer request and even if it’s a pretty “generic” video that other people could technically make, I enjoyed making it and based on the comments it did help other people. Thanks for your feedback and I’ll take that into consideration in future videos

      @@keith-knittel I see your point. I thought about this, and I guess, you're right. I just like videos/channels which inspire people to do creative things with their gadgets, but they have to learn how to use them first. My critique is misplaced. As one User Manual it's great. I mixed apples with oranges. And: I did subscribe. 🙏
