Great insight into your thoughts on wafters. Your hook & wafter sure needs to be matched and balanced to get it working to the full potential. Another great short video by Jamie and Sonubaits. Look forward to next video. Tight Lines Guys
The wafter will still have the counter-balance property that helps it easily get sucked into the fish's mouth along with whatever is around your feeder.
@@Sonubaits ok thanks I have used them at white acres last week, didn't catch but it wasn't fishing well so will give them another go next time I am there
It didn't pop up, it just moved away along the bottom of the tub, the hook was still on the bottom. Also, an MWG is a heavier guage of wire than what Jamie uses, which is his point here. For out and out carp fishing a bigger/heavier hook and a bigger wafter can be used to great effect. But on a lot of venues Jamie visits where its pokey F1 venues or smaller fish including small carp. A lighter hook, hooklength diameter and smaller hookbait is perfect.
Brilliant video,I've got some of the micro ones to try myself, anything thing that helps to present the hook bait better can only help to catch more fish 🎣🎣
Exactly as Jamie says... He just doesn't want to be using big hooks/heavier wire guage hooks when targeting smaller species/fish. There is of course a place for that where carp of a certain average size are concerned.

Great tip 🙌🏼🙌🏼
These are a brilliant product & I've had brilliant results using them 👍👍👌👌
brilliant stuff Jamie👏👏👏
Quality info nice one jamie
Thanks Jamie, but if you want the pellet to remain on the feed why not just go for a sinker 6mm instead of a wafter ?
what size hooks do you use for match fishing , so lets say fish up to 10ish lb
what's the difference between using a micro wafter and a 4mm pellet, both will stay by your feed on the method feeder

My 6mm wafters don’t pop up on a 16 mwg hook, like yours does 🤔
Is it a differend brand??

Almost like you need to balance your hook bait to your hook...
