I think he just forgot it came up. He does these really long game streams split up by his own work streams, so it's no surprise he sometimes forgets stuff. Especially since Ominis's blindness is only really talked about once (at least unless you're a Slytherin I think) and the rest is just inferred from his design and animations.

Damn. I wish I had caught the 4th installment on twitch, because it now seems to be gone forever. I'm sure it wasn't uploaded to RUclips just because it was a lot shorter, a lot less interesting... Or maybe he never actually did it, but I really liked listening to his commentary. Actually made me go back and give it a second playthrough. Oh well.

Literally everything that you're saying about Sebastian applies to "Thor McGoblin" as well. At every single turn, your MC has encouraged and supported Sebastian's belief that his actions were justified, for no other reason than to learn the Unforgivables. And now at the end of all that, you're going to condemn him for a crime _you_ walk away from scot-free?
This is the true cost of learning the Unforgivables in this game. You can do it, but it means the story of your MC is a story of a garbage person.
I seperated mine into 2 playthroughs, I did a 100% "good" Gryffindor run first. I went back a few months ago and did a "as evil as they come" Slytherin run. Both were fun, glad I did the "good" run first.
I will miss this when it’s over. Watched the 3 episodes over a span of 2 weeks. Had a very good time. Thank you.
7:20:51 I watched and waited over 7 hours (plus another 32ish), learning this dude, seeing how his brain works, and knowing this decision was coming for him. And man I wasn’t disappointed in Thor’s face.
I played a "as evil as they come" Slytherin for my second playthrough. It was a fun experience for sure, I did feel scummy at a few points, it got VERY over powered.

Imagine being a wizard, having a magical bag with whole another dimension. Imagine being able to conjure objects out of thin air, turn a man into a chicken, but you are limited in amount of pieces of clothing you can carry.
This completely dumb design decisions are ruining this game for me. I know this is game for children, nonetheless it is destroying the immersion

you know for being a spell that causes such pain. Crusio is a great carrier spell for group healing.

On the subject of ones own internal monologue or even differnet internal visualizations. Im one who's pretty much in their own head fairly often over thinking things or even imaging how conversations might play out, and can over focus on tasks. My monologue can vary wildly, though generally its in my own voice.
In my moments of high focus on tasks I my monologue can disappear or be silenced. I will tend to read things in other peoples voices if their name or face is tied to it. Or create voices for characters in books if I'm reading them long enought. But if I'm very tired, or as I'm falling asleep my internal monologue stops being my own voice and will take on other people's voices randomly, which was jarring the first time it happened.
Being able to visualize stuff has always been difficult and weird for my though. In early life I was never able to visualize/imagine things when I read or listened to things, it was all just words to me. But I eventually began to visualize and imagine the things I was reading or hearing. However, even to this day I feel like that part of me is lacking, and I dont have much control of it, as it can be hit or miss. Like I'm decent at spatviz, and reading or hearing about stuff it's there visually in my head, but tell me to visualize something like an apple, and it doesn't quite work.

Hey I'm new here. I noticed in the last video you kept bringing up the vocal cues. I know a streamer who also doesn't like hints and after awhile of playing, his chat kept bringing it up. Many of the times they'd talk about the vocal cues, just trying to get the streamer to interact with them. This kept going on and days later. I would join his stream and people knew that "hating hints" was a way to get the streamer to interact with them. This just kept going until the guy eventually dropped the game. Was it the games fault? Maybe. Did his chat influenced his emotions? Possibly. Anyways just food for thought. You seem cool and pretty dang smart, ggz

6:33:50 and it makes absolute sense that it won't let you use your spicy buttons - your MC loves animals, and needs this for the task ahead, so you don't want to hurt it - thus unforgivables are not working.
Making a prediction at 3:16:08 - Sebastian knows Ominis would never be onboard with this plan, and is going to bring him along using the Imperius Curse.
I think the instant, painless death of the killing curse is more merciful than a lifetime in Azkaban or the Dementor's kiss. The wizard "justice" system is fucked.

Hang on... At 6:36:18, when he gets on the graphorn, the music that starts playing sounds a heck of a lot like the How To Train Your Dragon theme.

When you score, you usually get a temp track, which is pretty much piece of existing music that the director uses to set the tone or emotional feel they want the final score to convey. The temp track for the graphorn riding cue was probably the how to train your dragon theme : )
It's a full orchestral score, so there's 8 areas which could be manipulated to avoid the "lawsuit". Rhythm, Melody, Harmony, Orchestration, Dynamics, Articulation, Tempo, and Texture. There's essentially 6.3 unvigintillion (6.3 x 10^57) possible variations across these 8 areas for the how to train your dragon motif.
You would think that there would be a some of differentiation that wasn't so close to the how to train your dragon score. Sometimes create a challenge known as "temp love," where the director becomes overly attached to the temp track, making it difficult for the composer to create an original score that satisfies the director. That's probably what happened here. :)
You say the combat wouldnt work in an MMO, maybe you mean it wouldnt work for PvP? cause not all MMOs need PvP.
He actually said in one of the earlier episodes that if this system were to be used for an MMO then it would need to be strictly PvE. He also said that the problem with PvP is that the combat is very much about crowd control, and in any PvP areas or servers your character would just wind up getting stun-locked and kicked around the map like a hackey sack, non-stop, all the time... Which isn't very fun.
For way too long, every time he said niffler hat I was picturing a hat that looked like Leela's pet from Futurama but i think it's name was Nibbler and I'm just dumb.
The polyjuice potion was my favorite scene, way too funny

I'd just like you to know this playthrough has inspired my own replay with roleplay as a Hufflepuff student by day and Captain Cabbage by night, who roams the woods in leafy garb and a green man-esque mask throwing heavily enhanced chinese chomping cabbages at poachers.

The more you do Sebastians quest, the more you realise all he's after is power. It may not have been that at the beginning, but as you progress you can see his dialogue changes, at the start he's like "To help Anne, I need to find anything that can help her", the dialogue is clear in that he's wanting to help his sister by any means necessary. But as it continues his dialogue changes to something like "I have to get this power!......For Anne". It moves from him earnestly looking for a cure at the beginning to him wanting more and more power, and he's just using Anne as an excuse.
I think the purpose of identification is just to give players a reason to go back to the room of requirement in case theyve been neglecting other timers there like plants and stuff. Some people have memory problems and it seems Wizarding World does what they can to be as inclusive as possible. Would also explain the randomized loot and milestone set pieces as opposed to preset loot drops tied to certain chests. Trade-offs of wider-audience-focused-development, and that. They could do more for turning off player hints and stuff for sure, though.

5:46:00 So the cooldown on some spells, including the killing curse is rather lengthy yes. Unless one uses a focus potion and cuts it down significantly. The maxima potion meanwhile boosts your damage output by a cool 100%. I also wish he'd experiment with spell combos more, the Glacius Diffindo combo is still rather effective.
Since he showed his perks, for future viewers this should be mentioned.
Confringo is the weakest spell in the game, the perk sounds really good but given the lack of damage the spell does its not worth it. Go diffindo or bombarda instead, stick with accio levioso and incendio.
For a 2nd combat set, use crucio, between diffindo and bombarda whichever you didnt use in your other set, and purple/yellow spells which can stack curses. In your 3rd combat set, sacrifice one slot for disillusionment so its always available, and remove crucio for avada kedavra. Use the crucio set, then change to avada kedavra. Everyone dies.
so im guessing there never was a 4th stream of finishing up the last quests?

just found out that Thor actually streamed a part 4 for this, but for some reason it was never uploaded to youtube and now twitch has deleted the vod...
- how?! - how can you "forget" to upload it, this is why multi-streaming to both youtube and twitch is a really good idea.
but it still doesn't bring back the vod though, i guess I'll just have to be sad about never knowing how much he ended up doing i guess.

Ok, so i got to the TOBBS reveal and INSTANTLY I understood why THOR is well within his right to know and wield every curse. I instantly went from enjoying this game for it's storyline/plot, graphics, voice acting, etc. to "...yeah, but TOBBs.... avenge... seek, hurt, DESTROY..."

I haven't been overly impressed with the music in this game, but the piece playing at 3:36:44 is gorgeous.

I'm not into the debate at all, but the fact that you're not mentioning that Rowling earns royalties from this game is a mistake. Every HP face on a $3 mug or $59 game mentioning Hogwarts WILL make her richer. And the "team" in question on the WB website are just the people that make sure that nothing will go against her brand or financial interests. So while I do not condone the shitshow that's been surrounding this game, I find your claim of Rowling's non-involvement partially false.
she doesn't make a dime from the game, she only made money from the contract of giving them rights to use the ip. as stated on the wb website. they only worked with her team, not her. Please pay attention to the conversation
So it seems like the only reason they're scared is the extracted pain is a spooky color. Other than that, I don't really understand why they were so concerned before seeing any negative side effects or her using it as a power source when healing magic and potions are a thing. We had to assume there are some bad mechanisms at play from the story telling clues and ominous music that something is wrong, but those teachers did not make a great case to her.

20:45 it's said in the books that non-verbal castings are always less powerful than verbal ones, so even if you can cast something nonverbally, you're still incentivized to cast it verbally when possible.

I don't think the room of requirement is creating pocket dimensions for the beast areas so much as it is finding locations that don't have any human or wizard habitation that match the habitats of the creatures and just creating a portal to get there, kind of like how that ancient magic wall led to a gringots entrance in the beginning of the game.
Magic is powerful in the Harry Potter universe, but I don't think even they have the power to create an entire small dimension out of nothing.
I will say, I liked this game a lot, but some of the things REALLY ticked me off about it.
For one, you don't learn all the unforgivable curses until very late in the game, so you don't even get a chance to use the killing curse for most of the game even though there is a really powerful build around it.
Then there is the fact that the unlocking spell is split into separate difficulties rather than just the 1 spell able to unlock nearly everything.
I could understand maybe having a single advanced version of the spell for the absolute best locked items in the game, but come on, 3 different tiers that you can't even get unless you find EVERY SINGLE demiguise statue? You go through the majority of the game finding locks you can't access until, again, near the end of the game unless you dedicate hours to finding every statue, which you can only mostly do with a guide telling you where they all are.
But, yeah, other that annoying things like that, the game was great.
When thor asks "who are we gonna sacrifice, dude?" at 3:16:34, I predict Sebastian is planning to capture & sacrifice the goblin who cursed Anne originally.

Thanks for the 40h+ stream. I've watched most of it, and only skipped the parts which gave me a headache. I've also read up on the controversies surrounding the game. It was an interesting experience. It's always good to just read the source material with an open mind, then to just accept whatever other people say. (Who knows, you might just learn something)

I was disappointed in the werewolf room because it’s literally just lumos* in front of each tapestry to change it but there is no indication that’s what’s happening, and it’s so easy to miss. Like the fact that’s all it is, and it’s just wait for it to turn back is a really shitty puzzle in my unprofessional opinion

The Boy Who Wore Rugs is so kind, to go out of his way to heal all of those upset poachers from life with his nice red-green tickle-heal combo.
exploring the castle in this game was Magical and I loved every minute. as soon as you leave and have to fight millions of spiders in dungeons the combat became SO repetative and boring! the completion rate on this is so small vs the player count !

They needed boots to be customizable too as armor pieces. After The Sorcerer's Apprentice, you know they have to be pointy, the pointier the more powerful the wizard!
Nonverbal spells are weaker than their verbal counterparts and are mainly used for the element of suprise when dueling or convince.

The thing I don’t understand about Thor is he hates the hints and spoilers the character always gives, but will willingly read captions and spoil the impact of certain scenes, best example is 5:34:44 like my boy, you can’t have your cake and eat it at the same time
Not speaking for Thor, but some creators keep subtitles on for deaf audience members. Not to mention, I use captions to be able to keep up when I'm in a noisy space - which a stream certainly is. I get that you don't like captions, but you can't seriously question his desire for being unspoiled (particularly in puzzles), just because he has turned on an option to be spoiled of storyline a couple of seconds ahead?

This hinting is actually quite nice, and could even be expanded, but it should be on a long, long timer or maybe be on a player-controlled trigger.
Say if the character "sits and thinks" or if you stand within x distance of the puzzle for 5 minutes, the character might wonder aloud, "It looks like I need to go to the left here" or "whatsHERface said the goblinballs are high up" or whatever. I don't hate the hints, I just hate their popping out before I've had a chance myself. Also, the frequency, but I found many of the sounds throughout the game were very repetitive. It would have been nice to have a meter to fill up with each cast before you became able to cast them silently.
If that makes the character too strong, invent a spell that allows us to say the spell, but mutes or cancels the sounds we make once mastered. Something to spare the player.
