Instinct Quest 72" Shaft On a Key West 244CC. Minn Kota sent the first one which was professionally installed but was found to be delivered defective. It would not trim. This is a brand new product and as always there can be "hiccups" . This was a big one because after the installer removed it, he took it to an authorized Minn Kota Sales and Repair shop, it had to be returned because it was in fact defective. Minn Kota replaced the unit free of charge which was fair. However, the labor to remove it and bring it to a repair shop, pick up the new one and reinstall it was not free. Not to mention a months delay to finally have an operating unit. Kind of sucks to be delayed and pay extra after buying a very expensive unit. On the bright side... Minn Kota did replace it. Seems like an extremely solid unit compared to any other Trolling Motor I have ever seen. Haven't really used it yet. Only time will tell. If you are a patient person, I suggest you wait until they work the bugs out.
I am getting older and would like to buy the trailer down the ramp and left the boat float off the Trailer and as soon as The bow clearsThe trailer I would then like to Lower the trim to get the trolling motor in the water and then Press the spot lock To hold the Boat in place Until I can Park the truck, and then come back to the dock where the boat is and motor it back over to me. This way I don't have to get my feet wet or do a balancing act on the trailer.... It would be so much easier. ?????My question is what is the range in feet that the remote has to be within the trolling motor so that it doesn't lose function. In other words, when I go to park my truck and trailer will the trolling motor lose the spot lock command because I'm too far away with the remote, otherwise, I could just leave the remote near the boat dock while I go park my truck and trailer? thank you.... Wonderful product!
I have the Ulterra…I do exactly what you describe. When I go to park my truck, the spot lock holds its place and your remote automatically reconnects to the motor when you are back in range. Works great.

Wow so nice boss
Is this taking the place of the Ulterra ? And what about us anglers that don’t run Humminbird graphs ?
