He can blow smoke about how good mega live is now but its not even close to live scope. Sure hope humminbird brings us something new in the ffs or lots of people will be gone.
I spoke to a representative at a show and he tried to explain to me that humminbird doesn’t deny that their live imaging is inferior. Never claim to be, however their upcoming software updates will help slightly improve the mega live imaging. Take it as a grain a salt.

I have been a hummingbird user for years. 15k in hummingbird stuff on my boat. The mount that comes with the live blows and you can’t get any parts. And than to try and just get the base for it that did not come in my box has been a year. Hummingbird has zero customer support. I am going all garmin on my next boat. Hummingbird has gone to the toilet. No management and now customer support. Too bad. If you are looking to buy. Please weigh out your options and look at garmin or lowrance. You at least have customer support
I purchased an Ultera in April. Did not work out of the box. Called Minn Kota and was told had to have it repaired at service center 2 hours away. They would not replace it. In service for 6 weeks and still waiting for parts. What a shame to spend nearly $3000 and poor support. Wish I never pitched it and will not recommend to anyone.
Well situations like that happen with a lot - if not ALL products that are manufactured. But yeah, that does suck, like opening a present on Christmas morning and finding out there are no batteries. Kind of wondering why they (seller) wouldn't accept a return being it was right "out of the box" to begin with?

Own it and would not recommend it after being in a boat with Garmin
