A while back I mentioned in one of my comments that I live in California, and you asked for recommendations. I've given it some thought, and here's what I've come up with. I live in the East Bay (on the other side of the bay from San Francisco), so many of my recommendations are from there. Mission Burritos The Mission District is a neighborhood in San Francisco with a large Mexican population. The name comes from Mission Street, which goes through the heart of the district. Mission Street is named for Mission Dolores, a Spanish mission from the early days of European colonization of California. A style of burrito was invented in the Mission District, and it's a must-try for foodies. The restaurant El Farolito claims to have invented the Mission burrito. La Taqueria is another popular place. Their burritos are unusual because they don't put rice in them. Chuy's Fiestas, La Palma Mexicatessen, and La Vaca Birria are also popular. Chinese Food As I'm sure you know, San Francisco has a large Chinese population, and the food that goes with it. The best Chinese food in San Francisco is not in Chinatown, though. That area is picturesque, but it so popular with tourists that the restaurants there can stay in business offering mediocre food (though some are pretty good). It's better to go to the Richmond District, a neighborhood in the northern part of San Francisco. Some good places are Sichuan Tasty Restaurant, Dragon River Restaurant, Taisan Huakee, WenChang Dumpling Restaurant, and Hunan Cafe. Oakland has a very good Chinatown. It's not pretty nor touristy like San Francisco's Chinatown, but there are a lot of good, inexpensive restaurants there. Some of my favorites are Gum Kuo, Vien Huong (a Vietnamese restaurant), Shan Dong, Huangcheng Noodle House (a bit outside of Chinatown), and Imperial Soup. The Ferry Building This is not a restaurant. It's an upscale mall on San Francisco's waterfront with a lot of food vendors inside. Some of them are retail shops, some sell food to go, and some are sit-down restaurants. They include Acme Bread Company, Blue Bottle Coffee, Cholita Linda (Baja-style food), Dandelion Chocolate, Gott's Roadside (upscale diner food), Hog Island Oyster Company, Humphrey Slocombe ice cream, Señor Sisig (Filipino food), and The Slanted Door (Vietnamese food). Bread San Francisco's sourdough bread is famous, and there are a lot of great bakeries around the Bay Area. Acme Bread Company, which I mentioned above, is one of the best. My favorite Acme bread is walnut levain. Semifreddi's bakery is also very good. Boudin Bakery is the best-known traditional sourdough. There are plenty of others. It may seem strange to taste different breads as part of a food tour, but I recommend it. North Beach Coffee Houses and Restaurants North Beach is the Italian neighborhood in San Francisco. It's north of Chinatown, and covers an area along Columbus Avenue. There are a lot of good coffee houses, pastry shops, and restaurants there. Some good ones: Fior d'Italia Caffe Trieste Caffe Greco Il Casaro Pizzeria Ideale Mona Lisa Mare E Monti Flour & Water Pizzeria Trattoria Contadina Sodini's Trattoria Stella Pastry Alimento Caffe Capriccio House of Prime Rib This is an old-fashioned restaurant that specializes in one thing. It's possible to get fish there, but I doubt you'd want to order it. The Cheese Board This is really two related businesses. One is a cheese shop and bakery, and the other is a pizzeria. The cheese shop has more varieties than I've ever seen anywhere else, and the baked goods are excellent. A couple of my favorite items are their cherry corn scones and their wolverines (a type of bread with nuts and dried fruit in it). The pizzeria is very popular with Cal students. They make one type of pizza each day, and it's always vegetarian. There's very little seating, so a lot of people take their slices to the grassy median in the middle of the street and eat there. The broccoli pizza in the Pixar movie Inside Out is a sly reference to this place. Berkeley Bowl This is a high-end supermarket. I know you usually review food from restaurants, but this place is worth a visit. The produce section is amazing, almost like a farmer's market. Their other departments, like their deli counter, butcher counter, snacks, etc. are also impressive. It's a must-see for every foodie visiting the Bay Area. There are two stores: the original location, and Berkeley Bowl West. The latter would be better for filming, I think, because the aisles are wider and the parking is better. Vik's Chaat This is the first restaurant in the U.S. to serve chaat (Indian street food). It started as two tables in the back of a small grocery and grew into a huge business. The service is no-frills, but the food is amazing. Alice Waters, owner of Chez Panisse, put Vik's on the map when she gave it a positive review. Tcho Chocolate Factory Tcho is a small chocolate company in Berkeley. You can tour their factory for only $15 a person. That's it for now. I'll tell you more if I think of anything.
Thanks for the detailed list of recommendations! We will have to try and plan a trip! it looks like we would need to spend some time up there to get through the list properly. Thanks for watching.
Some great recommendations. Prime rib house 👌 I’m from South Bay and we loved going to la taqueria, however, when we went last year the area had gotten worse, I didn’t feel safe. Might be because we had two little ones with us. Hopefully that’s not the case anymore but just thought you should have a bit of a heads up if you do go to that area.
It's not thematic to Mexican or traditional American foods, but there's a fabulous Russian/Georgian restaurant called Pomegranate in San Diego. If you go make sure you get the lobio
I've been to that 1st place when I was a kid back in the late 70's. Back then I ate meat. I'm not going to lie that was some the best Mexican food I ever eat, outside of my Hispanic family's homemade Mexican food. 😋
How wonderful to see a resyaurant still around after 91 years! Seeing the line out the door you can see why. Everything looked so yummy! They're obviously doing something right to still be in business. Another great video!
At first place looks genuinely authentic, which explains the line. The second location seems that they adapted to appeal to everyone. It's not a bad thing, but it's still good for first timers. The microphones make a big difference btw 😉
You all did a great job on this review. I lived in Southern California and went to these restaurants when I went to college. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourselves
It's tough for me to do in the warmer weather, but on a cold, crisp day there are some amazing, warm-you-up-like-a-hug Mexican soups that are fabulous. I'm a big fan of a good Tortilla soup or Menudo.
Automatic thumbs up for trying Mexican food from a Mom and Pop restaurant and not some fast food chain! The food looks delicious and it was fun to see your reactions!
Mexican food is my favorite cuisine. Growing up near Chicago (large Mexican population there) I was able to get amazing, authentic, Mexican food whenever I wanted.
I grew up around the corner from Las Cuatro Milpas or as we called it growing up and still do Petra’s in 60’s thru the 80’s. My mom would send my brother and I to buy a big pot of Menudo every Sunday Morning right when they opened. Glad to say I knew Petra and Natividad Estudillo the owners. They would fill it to the brim and we would try our best to walk home without spilling it. Also there when we took over Chicano Park for at least 12 days as a neighborhood in April of 1970 to stop the land under the Coronado to be built on by the CHP.
Lived in San Diego 40 yrs Las Cutros Milpas is the Best for the Money Spot in City found by following Ship yard workers to Lunch in 1982. El Indio also Great but more expensive. Key to Las Cutros Milpas get there way early to avoid long lines closes when food runs out about 2pm!
Esquites, tamales, tacos, tortas, pozole, birria, black mole, red mole, green mole, lamb barbacoa, enchiladas, tostadas, red or green chilaquiles, molletes, ranchero eggs, motuleño eggs, cochinita pibil, etc.
Hey guys, nice reaction. Nice to show us around your home city in the U.S. How did you guys come to live in San Diego vs other places in the U.S. would love to hear your story. Maybe you can do a video about that or a live question and answer video.

Good on you both! What a spectacular couple. I love that you share these experiences. I grew up eating this food! Thank you for promoting these locations as you did. I'll have to try them myself when my travels take me near. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for your kind words! its great to hear the food brings back fond memories for you. We hope you get to try these locations in the future.
Another mark of a high-quality in taste Mexican restaurant is making their own tortillas in house, it makes a world of difference in the flavors also that probably means they make many of their other staple ingredients such as salsas in house as well.
I used to go to Las Cuatros Milpas once a week for a big bowl of beans with a scoop of rice, a tamale and a 12" flour tortilla. YUM! I would also take a dozen tortillas home.
Yo! I recommended Las Cuatro Milpas in the comments in your first Mexican food video. Very happy you two made it! As I said, it’s super delicious & old school, I doubt the recipes have changed much since the 30s. My Dad first started going there in the 70s, and it is still some of the same women working there to this day. It’s a time capsule kinda place. Glad you liked it!
From California to TEXAS, we do excellent Mexican food! New Mexico too! I know I’m leaving some worthy states out, but those are the real deal. 😋👍🇺🇸🇲🇽 Any real TEXAN will tell you tacos are Mandatory! It would be a very bad day if TEXAS ran out of tacos. 😆
Absolutely, Mexican food is a delicious staple in many states! We have just tried some in Austin this weekend and will hopefully upload the video soon.
Thanks for the content, if your into spanish foods get to NEW MEX for the chilli festival as in peppers not the meal. great times to be had, Hatch Chile Festival but i think its in august.
Ok Guadalajara for birria Baja California Sur, Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta, etc. great sea food Monterrey goat tacos Mexico City for all kinds of tacos. Corn husks Tamales. Oaxaca mole and banana leaf tamales, my favorite. Puebla black mole. And many more.
After living in San Diego for a while your ability to handle spice will increase to the degree that you won't feel the heat. But you will completely enjoy the heightened flavor that comes with stronger peppers
My cousin and Nana went to Las Cuatro Milpas at least 70 years ago It's owned by the daughters of the original women and we go as a family when we're all together visiting all these years later.
Flautas are made of flour tortillas. If you want a good flauta go to Santana’s and order the chicken flautas. They also have a lot of different salsas to try out.
Las Cuatro Milpas is 🔥 The fact you guys are sitting in Chicano Park to eat it is even better. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and it’s wild to watch a couple British people sitting in Chicano Park making a video lol The police used to not even go there back then 🤣
So nice to see good people enjoy life... and some good food too.. Best wishes. I hope you also visited Old Town? It is a bit touristy but a must see location when in SD.
@thebritstry Go to Mira Mesa for Filipino food, or Lumpia house in Poway. Get the chicken adobo, pancit, and Kari Kari. Sooooo good. Also, Island Spice on University has great Jamaican food.
@@thebritstryI love sweet tamales at Christmas time. My Grandmother made bean tamales too for the babies that couldn’t handle the chili sauces in the meat preparations for the other tamales. I had 9 aunts that would make an assembly line every year at Christmas and they made 72 dozen with assorted fillings. Ah memories of my childhood 😌
San Diego really does have some amazing spots! The wait is definitely worth it for such a great experience. Let us know if there is anywhere else we should try?
You guys came to the right place. Cuatro Milpas is an institution in San Diego. The place looks like a prison with chipped paint on the walls, but nobody cares. Every type of person of every age will make the trek there and gladly wait in line in the barrio to get some. Their tortillas alone will make you cry they are so good. IMO, San Diego is the king of Mexican food outside of Mexico. Although I would say that Tex-Mex is its own category and is also fantastic.
I haven't lived in Daygo since 2013, but my favorite place to get carne asada fries or a carne asada burrito was the Lolitas in southside off Telegraph Canyon rd. If you're willing to make the drive for some mariscos, I used to live in the apartment complex across the street from a sort of strip mall. They have the best spicy shrimp taco I've ever had, and I still miss it. Its on Dairy mart Rd in San Ysidro, its called Baja Fish Mart. You wont regret it!!
El Charro Café in Tucson Arizona is the oldest and first Mexican restaurants in the US. In fact they invented a dish everyone loves. Should check it out.
It makes perfect sense they didn't have a chance to sample THE GREATEST TORTILLA CHIPS KNOWN TO MAN at El Indio, given how many entrees they had to get through, but if you ever get there DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE GREATES TORTILLA CHIPS KNOWN TO MAN--THEY'RE AMAZING!
I so miss the chicken tacos they make in San Diego and the RICE OMFG YUMMM I'm glad u got there during the day back when i lived there in the 80s u did not want to be in that park at night
Thank you for sharing your love for the food in San Diego! It's always great to reminisce about delicious meals. Barrio Logan now has lots of good food, cafes and bars etc. Thanks for watching
As a San Diegan and someone who's been to this taco shop when I worked in the area a few times it definitely is good but I couldn't tell if you got carne asada or not... That is pretty much a must when eating mexican food. The beef, chicken, and pork is all good but the steak is where it's at.. Also the Cali Burrito originated here and that is a carne asada burrito with fries in it... it's pretty much the best thing ever.. That or carne asada fries or nachos..
Since you live in San Diego, you might try one of the taco festivals that happen in the city several times of the year. Generally, located in Balboa Park, Embarcadero Park, Waterfront Park, etc. There are normally vendors from both side of the border.
Great reviews. Love both of those places. Grew up in San Diego in a Mexican household so had a lot of that stuff growing up. Welcome to San Diego and welcome to California. Did you stop in Shakespeare’s just next door to El Indios?
El Indio used to be really good, but now it is a mostly a tourists trap compared to Las Quatro Milpas. LQT has been a standard in San Diego that is still there. Simple and good!
I like green sauce only with enchiladas suizas.. enchiladas with green sauce. On other stuff it’s too tart 😭!! Also we loooove vegetable in our food! Summer time try some CEVICHE 😋!! Fresh, cool, limey! Sooo good!
The Four Corn Patches (Las Quatros Milpas)!! Love that place. Been at least 20 times. A little of their hot sauce on everything livens things up a bit (or a lot). Too bad you didn't try the chorizo, beans, eggs and rice with some sour cream, hot sauce, onions and cilantro. Their Mexican grandmother approved flour tortillas are amazing!!
Also, next time you have a chance, try chile rellenos. Roasted chiles stuffed with cheese, dipped in an egg wash and deep fried. So good!
Thanks for the recommendation!

Berkeley Bowl
This is a high-end supermarket.
Vik's Chaat
This is the first restaurant in the U.S. to serve chaat (Indian street food). It started as two tables in the back of a small grocery and grew into a huge business. The service is no-frills, but the food is amazing. Alice Waters, owner of Chez Panisse, put Vik's on the map when she gave it a positive review.
Tcho Chocolate Factory
Tcho is a small chocolate company in Berkeley. You can tour their factory for only $15 a person.
That's it for now. I'll tell you more if I think of anything.
Thanks for the detailed list of recommendations! We will have to try and plan a trip! it looks like we would need to spend some time up there to get through the list properly. Thanks for watching.
My nephew works at the Cheese Board.
Some great recommendations. Prime rib house 👌
I’m from South Bay and we loved going to la taqueria, however, when we went last year the area had gotten worse, I didn’t feel safe. Might be because we had two little ones with us. Hopefully that’s not the case anymore but just thought you should have a bit of a heads up if you do go to that area.
The tortillas look like what my grandmother used to make! That's just love, right there!
They were delicious! the food was amazing. Thanks for watching!
It's not thematic to Mexican or traditional American foods, but there's a fabulous Russian/Georgian restaurant called Pomegranate in San Diego. If you go make sure you get the lobio
Thanks for the advice! we will have to try an check Pomegranate out soon!
Do they have Khachapuri? If they do you gotta get that.
I second this, having eaten there I must say they have the most authentic Stronganoff I've ever eaten.
This place reminds me of some old Mexican restaurants in Dallas Tx.
It was delicious! Thanks for watching.
I've been to that 1st place when I was a kid back in the late 70's. Back then I ate meat. I'm not going to lie that was some the best Mexican food I ever eat, outside of my Hispanic family's homemade Mexican food. 😋
Wow! That's amazing! It is still really good. Thanks for sharing!
We really do have some great Mexican food.
Yes! these 2 places are really good!!!
How wonderful to see a resyaurant still around after 91 years! Seeing the line out the door you can see why. Everything looked so yummy! They're obviously doing something right to still be in business. Another great video!
It is Amazing! and it certainly was delicious! Thanks for watching
At first place looks genuinely authentic, which explains the line. The second location seems that they adapted to appeal to everyone. It's not a bad thing, but it's still good for first timers. The microphones make a big difference btw 😉
Thanks for the feedback! it means alot!
You all did a great job on this review. I lived in Southern California and went to these restaurants when I went to college. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourselves
That is great to hear! Thanks for your kind words
I have to say I love your chanel with such an open minded approach to new food and culture. Much luck and success on your culinary adventures.😊
Thank you for your kind words and support! you comment made our day! It means a lot to us!
No T in chorizo. 😂
Chore ree zoe. 😆
Thank you for the information! It really helps us learn.
I have been to San Diego, once, and loved it! ❤️ Hopefully, I will be able to go back someday and if I do, I’ll put this place on my list.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We hope you get the chance to revisit San Diego soon.
Keeping it close to home, love it!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! We could have fallen out of bed and landed in these restaurants. LOL
@@thebritstry hahaha true
It's tough for me to do in the warmer weather, but on a cold, crisp day there are some amazing, warm-you-up-like-a-hug Mexican soups that are fabulous. I'm a big fan of a good Tortilla soup or Menudo.
Thanks for sharing! We will have to try a Tortilla soup in the future!
La Especial Norte up in Leucadia has some of the best Mexican chicken tortilla soup I have ever had. Haven't been there in ages though.
Automatic thumbs up for trying Mexican food from a Mom and Pop restaurant and not some fast food chain! The food looks delicious and it was fun to see your reactions!
So good! We really enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Mexican food is my favorite cuisine. Growing up near Chicago (large Mexican population there) I was able to get amazing, authentic, Mexican food whenever I wanted.
Thanks for sharing!! This food was Amazing! We would love to visit Chicago in the future.
First place is legit authentic, has a homey vibe. Like a grandma cooking up a meal for you.
It really is! the food was very good! Thanks for watching
The tamales are steamed for about an hour in the dried leaves that cover the corn cob, which we call corn husks.
They were delicious! Thanks for sharing, we really enjoyed them.
Thanks for sharing
Hope you enjoyed SANDI EGO. ❤❤❤
We're grateful for your kind words and curiosity about our journey to San Diego. It means a lot to us that you're interested in our story, maybe we can try and organize something soon!
@@thebritstry Sounds great.
The Brits Try are fantastic your channel is unique,I love the fact you’re from another country you’re analysis is great respect to the food. The chemistry between you two are excellent.Offering something different.
Thank you so much for your very kind words! We are having an amazing time trying all these new places. Let us know if you have any suggestions for us?
Thank you two for reminding me how lucky I am to have all these awesome foods in sunny California ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video! California sure knows how to spoil us with tasty treats, right?
Good on you both! What a spectacular couple. I love that you share these experiences. Each region has it's own quality in spices, flavor and experienced preparation but through and through I appreciate your take on the food and the descriptions on the ingredients. Can you imagine? I grew up eating this food! Thank you for promoting these locations as you did. I'll have to try them myself when my travels take me near. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for your kind words! its great to hear the food brings back fond memories for you. We hope you get to try these locations in the future.
Another mark of a high-quality in taste Mexican restaurant is making their own tortillas in house, it makes a world of difference in the flavors also that probably means they make many of their other staple ingredients such as salsas in house as well.
Absolutely! Freshly made tortillas can really elevate the dining experience at a Mexican restaurant.
so glad you made it to San Diego
I used to go to Las Cuatros Milpas once a week for a big bowl of beans with a scoop of rice, a tamale and a 12" flour tortilla. YUM! I would also take a dozen tortillas home.
So delicious, we can see why you would go once a week.
Frist vid I ever saw of these two... I LOVE them. Ok - let's go what vids are next.
Another episode that amplifies my hunger! Looks absolutely delicious.
It really was delicious! Thanks for watching
From California to TEXAS, we do excellent Mexican food! New Mexico too! I know I’m leaving some worthy states out, but those are the real deal. 😋👍🇺🇸🇲🇽
Any real TEXAN will tell you tacos are Mandatory! It would be a very bad day if TEXAS ran out of tacos. 😆
Absolutely, Mexican food is a delicious staple in many states! We have just tried some in Austin this weekend and will hopefully upload the video soon.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the content, if your into spanish foods get to NEW MEX for the chilli festival as in peppers not the meal. great times to be had, Hatch Chile Festival but i think its in august.
Thanks for the tips! That sounds like a lot of fun! we will check it out
I like spanish food. The paella is delicious.
Ok
Guadalajara for birria
Baja California Sur, Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta, etc. great sea food
Monterrey goat tacos
Mexico City for all kinds of tacos. Corn husks Tamales.
Oaxaca mole and banana leaf tamales, my favorite.
Puebla black mole.
And many more.
Thank you for sharing all these wonderful food recommendations! I can't wait to try them all. Which is your favorite?
Fish tacos on the SD surfer beaches!!!!
Yum!
YUM!! I am so hungry now! And, I could eat Mexican food every day!
So good! We could eat some right now!
After living in San Diego for a while your ability to handle spice will increase to the degree that you won't feel the heat. But you will completely enjoy the heightened flavor that comes with stronger peppers
Thanks for sharing This food was really good!
My cousin and Nana went to Las Cuatro Milpas at least 70 years ago It's owned by the daughters of the original women and we go as a family when we're all together visiting all these years later.
Nom nom 🌮
It was delicious! Thanks for watching!
Flautas are made of flour tortillas. If you want a good flauta go to Santana’s and order the chicken flautas. They also have a lot of different salsas to try out.
Thanks for the tip! We will try and get there soon.
You both get bonus points for sampling, my favourite style of Mexican cuisine, in Chicano Park. ❤
So good!
Las Cuatro Milpas is 🔥 The fact you guys are sitting in Chicano Park to eat it is even better. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and it’s wild to watch a couple British people sitting in Chicano Park making a video lol The police used to not even go there back then 🤣
LOL! It's amazing how places evolve over time! it is a really cool area with lots of culture. Thanks for watching
I love how even the taggers treat that park as sacred ground and never mess with the beautiful artwork on the pillars.
You guys give great Travel Channel vibes
Oh thank you!😀
So nice to see good people enjoy life... and some good food too.. Best wishes. I hope you also visited Old Town? It is a bit touristy but a must see location when in SD.
Thank you for watching! Yes we did visit Old Town.
Both of you are awesome.
I think you Liked it all at the 1st place, you broke 'MmmmMMmmm' meter LOL
Lol! you are right.
Oh crap! When i was in the navy my whole division was obsessed with that place! I couldnt remember what it was called but their food was amazing!
You two are awesome!
Thank you for watching!🤗
Great review and great couple. Congratulations
Thank you so much! Your comment means a lot.
Niiiiiice they ate at Chicano Park!! Love it
Thanks for noticing! and for watching our video!
"Everything" is a good approach.
I love crispy tacos! So glad you got some fresh ones!
They were delicious! Thanks for watching
Gawd I miss Daygo for the rolled tacos. It's so nice seeing the background with the 5 freeway over their heads. I miss home😢
Sorry to make you homesick! Let us know if there is anywhere else we should try that might make you smile!
@thebritstry Go to Mira Mesa for Filipino food, or Lumpia house in Poway. Get the chicken adobo, pancit, and Kari Kari. Sooooo good. Also, Island Spice on University has great Jamaican food.
Tamales are steamed in corn husks. Fillings can be pork, beef, chicken, seafood...and there's nothing better than a homemade corn tortilla.
Tamales are indeed a delicious treat with so many filling options! Thanks for watching
Looks so good. We had homemade soft tacos for dinner. So yummy. Love From Michigan and it's a beautiful evening ❤️
So Jealous! that sounds great! The food we had was delicious. Thanks for watching.
Nothing better in San Diego. There is quite a line to get in. Well worth it.
Thank you for sharing your experience! The food at Cuatro Milpas was SOO GOOOD! We have a tex mex video coming soon
Chicano Park... Nice! Don't forget Peterson's Donuts in Escondido
Thanks for the tip! Chicano Park is really cool! We will try and get to Peterson's Donuts soon!
Tamales are steamed in corn husks
also if you get good hot sauce you will get heat with the fruity taste of the peppers it will change you life
Thank you for the advice! we will keep looking for good hot sauce!
Tip... I bring a hand towel to these type food places. So much better than paper. Send me your leftovers. I love tamales.
Thanks for the advice! Tamales are delicious.
So funny the reaction to the Chile Verde sauce. Green chili sauce vs red chili sauce. Making me want to make some Mexican food
Thanks for watching! The food was delicious, we were just not expecting the salsa verde sauce to taste so lemony.
@@thebritstry I've never had some with lemon which I'm sure is regional. I've only had it prepared with lime
Was the pork carnitas? They usually would be.
man that food looks ssoooooo goooood and authentic too i love some mexican food
It was delicious. Thanks for watching
That's some legit good Mexican Foods! 👑✨👍
It was really good! Thanks for watching
You know it's good when there's a line ❤
Your Right! Thanks for watching
El Charro Café in Tucson Arizona is the oldest and first Mexican restaurants in the US. In fact they invented a dish everyone loves. Should check it out.
Thanks for the idea! That sounds like a great place to try in the future. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the heads up! we will definitely go back and give them a try soon!!
Las Cuatro Milpas is an amazing place
I so miss the chicken tacos they make in San Diego and the RICE OMFG YUMMM
I'm glad u got there during the day back when i lived there in the 80s u did not want to be in that park at night
Great idea!
I miss SD mexican food. Enjoy!
It's so good!
Great reviews. Love both of those places. Grew up in San Diego in a Mexican household so had a lot of that stuff growing up. Welcome to San Diego and welcome to California. Did you stop in Shakespeare’s just next door to El Indios?
Thanks for watching! Great suggestion.
El Indio used to be really good, but now it is a mostly a tourists trap compared to Las Quatro Milpas. LQT has been a standard in San Diego that is still there. Simple and good!
Tomotillos have a citrus flavor for the salsa Verde. And lime helps cut the heat. It's delicious when you get used to it..
Yes, Andrew loved it but i wasn't expecting it! we will definitely give it another try in the future. Thanks for watching.
I lived in Albuquerque, NM. The food was outstanding.
The food was delicious! Thanks for watching.
The 1st place has to be Tres Quattro Mippas, I am probably spelling it wrong in barrow Logan. One of my favorites
Barro Logan.
Your right! It’s delicious. Thanks for watching
I like green sauce only with enchiladas suizas.. enchiladas with green sauce. On other stuff it’s too tart 😭!! Also we loooove vegetable in our food! Summer time try some CEVICHE 😋!! Fresh, cool, limey! Sooo good!
I don’t do spicy, but I really love acid sauces, green is my favorite
Thanks for sharing your favorite sauce choice! It's cool to see different taste preferences.
Thanks for sharing! it was delicious! thanks for tip on the chorizo, beans, eggs and rice, we will have to try that next time.
Oh my goodness…my mouth is watering.
The beans look amazing.
It was so good! we would definitely recommend these places! Thanks for watching
They were so good!
Did you try Baha Fish Tacos. They are so good!
