Thanks for this. Do you know if CoreELEC is compatible with Dune HD 8K Solo? That particular device is not listed in the install. From what I can tell, the 8K Solo uses an S928X which isn't listed in the CoreELEC generics.
I really can't judge the performance. It should be possible to install to the internal NAND, but I have not tried it without the Android image file. Thank you again for all of your kind comments. You are the Guru of media players.
Thanks 🙏 I’ve wanted to try this but have struggled to find instructions. It would be helpful to me if you could provide a longer more detailed video on creating the OS on the micro SD as well as what else would be needed as I’ve never done anything like this but would love to try. Thanks 🙏
@@jameshastings6538 I thought you were trying to install CoreELEC onto this device. You're trying to install it on the Dune Homatics box. There's a different procedure for installing CoreELEC on that device. You have to use the reset button that's on the bottom of the Homatics box.
Thanks for this great vidéo but i've a problem, I did not understand were i must activate developper mode !! when i use the app "reboot to coreelec" i have the same message "enable usb debugging first in developer options"
Step 1 go to the setup screen and find the "system" icon, and click on that icon. 2: The next step is to scroll down to "Device preferences" and click on that. 3: In the "about" menu, scroll down to "Android TV OS build" and click on that statement for several times. That installs the "Developers option" 4: After the "Developers option" installed, you will go to the "Developer option" settings. Now you will see a lot of options. 5: Make sure "Enable developers' options" is enabled. 6: Scroll down to "USB debugging" and enable it. 7: Now, "reboot to CoreELEC" should work.

The Pro Vison 4k is primarily for your OWN media and NOT premium streams like Netflix or Prime Video. It uses a modified 64bit operating system. It is intended for the techies, that only watch their own media in the best video and audio quality. The Premier 4k Pro is a multifunction media player. It plays your own media PLUS it also streams Netflix in 4k, so it supports the premium internet streams.

I can’t get it to work. Everytime I try first reboot it takes me to an Android Recovery screen.
did you setup developers options?? Select "enable developers options" then "usb debugging"
It should have told you which setting to use on developers options.
Yeah I enabled developer options and usb debugging. But it didn’t tell me what settings to use.
