the funniest thing about the scaremongering/hyping up of Dragoon specifically is like, it's been legal in the TCG the entire time and even when Verte was around it saw no play, it is at best a toy for DM players and people who love to cook a little too hard on combos and yet people still think of it as this huge threat because for a bit it was the best thing the OCG had to summon off Verte and that momentum has carried it
Spright might be able to cook up quite a bit with Ib and goblin ngl. The extra summon might prove really nice and for ib you could run draconet and the level 2 world chalice which will be treated as a tuner due to the effect of the synchro and plus a free level 2 and a normal which has synergy with apple dragon (silly combo i know). But that's just surface level thinking. These cards could really enable some fun decks, not just bs. Hope everyone has a great day.
Orcust as an engine will not be competitive at all, far too bricky. Orcust as a deck, however (specifically Horus Orcust), will get a huge boost from this. The deck was already seeing rogue success, despite the Horus engine only giving you a chance to enable your Orcust engine. Now, opening an Imsety or King’s Sarc guarantees full combo, and if you open engine with it you can simply pivot to making Photon Lord. Furthermore, Bystials become way more valuable when they can hypothetically start or contribute to a full combo. Not to mention the new Orcust support that’ll probably come to Master Duel mid-late next year. I personally think it’s safe to say that at some point, Orcust will be a meta deck in Master Duel.
OMG Knightmare Mermaid is Icejade Support! Might not be as big support for this archetype as others but being a link 1 water that special summons from the deck is VERY helpful, even if the other summons are dark monster. One of them being a level 7 is huge seeing as you can use manifestation (which needs a water monster) to summon a 7 tuner to go into Tzolkin and special Crystal Wing Synchro (unfortunately, Tzolkin is the 5th summon, but you likely would still have more plays seeing as you only used 2 cards from hand, a monster and a spell.)
I've been saying goblin is fine for a while as long as ib is gone. Full orcust combo means playing quite a few potential bricks, and you can make verte for the same materials, and folks let's keep in mind that while it may be a white forest tenpai Christmas this year, Fiendsmith is coming, and that also makes it's whole board with pretty much any 2 monsters
Another thing I learned about dragoon (the hard way) is that when summoning it with red eyes fusion, you do actually have to use red eyes as material. It doesn't very intuitive, but I guess that's just how it works, so you have to play the extra brick
I'm hoping the White Forest cards aren't too expensive, I know many people who missed out on Voiceless and even Centurion because they were wayy to many UR needed
I too believe that Dragoon isn’t going to break the game. People think because it’s an omni negate and “spashable” it’s going to create chaos but DPE is still better splashable because the fusion materials for DPE are also generic extenders for many decks. There isn’t any value in generically sending a Dark Magician to GY
I’ve played with mermaid for 2 whole days before it was banned Mermaid is essentially fiendsmith link 1 with a discard cost It’s the closest we get to an Orcust link-1 If fiendsmith is legal so should mermaid, the difference is iblee is banned in MD unlike other formats so it isn’t a problem card at this point Dragoon is interesting with verte I find it to be interesting using muddy mud instead to make dragoon, yes you need 3 ed slots but I think it’s especially effective in white woods since dragoon discards
Hey Hex got video idea for ya. You can name it Hex guidance, you can take questions from us the community and give your take on the question. It can be question on the card game or real life. But hey just a thought.
What I like the most is the fact that all of these cards are good. Most of the time when they unban cards it's WAY past the point where they were good, but every one of these is a decent card.
I dont think master peace will see any play in higher ranks, but Lib will see play in generaider decks for hand looping, we will see a lot of dragoon because of the hype and because the current meta decks cant out it when it hits the broad. Now the two link monsters will see a lot of play because im sure the combo players are going to cook really hard with them, and i mean super hard like we talking unbreakable broad kind of hard but outside that l like the changes
I know I will be getting at least 1 Dragoon. I don’t know if I’ll be reassembling my DM deck, but it could make an interesting addition to my Branded Despia.
This is gonna be a hilarious new format, even if none of this stuff winds up being meta defining. Dragonic Diagram might get me to play Fire King with the Fire True King, and of course I'm going to be trying some dumb janky Striker Orcust pile at some point.
To be honest the only notable hit on this list in my eyes is Goblin. Ib, Diagram, and Madterpiece won’t do much, Dragoon is overhyped, and Mermaid isn’t really a big deal with Iblee banned. Goblin on the other hand I feel like would be interesting in SEFK for an extra NS and maybe in old Tier 0 deck SPYRAL which would be hype

that and the sick art
The biggest unban list in master duel ever

This is not a banlist, its a damn prison break

Dragoon coming is what made me make a dark magician deck

I understand that you’re not the oldest and probably not the wisest but a different perspective and still help people going through whatever.

Diagram to 3. Master P coming home. True drizzy eating good 😎
Our gems is exactly the same. Should I pull the white forests or not? Worth it?
gonna try and cook up some centur-ion orcust stuff with mermaid
I’m more excited about Masterpeace. It’s going to be used in stun of course but it’s going to be such a great card imo.
Dragoon in Tenpai is stupid, they already have the Buster lock if they want to play a going first engine and that's oppressive as hell.
Can muddy mudragon and a bystial get you dragoon?

That wasn't water. 😂
It was a sparkling water
