    your loom arrived yesterday, warped it up last night, and completed this mug-mat today - it actually turned out pretty good, despite all the changes (wrong yarn, different colours, different # of rows) - so thank you!!

    I’m a very beginner so I would like to know what is the meaning of 4/8 warping string? You have been so helpful answering all my questions. Love your videos

    I'm always amazed at how few stitches you go under to tuck in an end. I'm always thinking if 3 is good, 20 must be better! 🤣

      Hahahaha, as I always say, you do you! That’s hilarious though, 20 is a LOT 🤣

    I love this even though every project I've tried so far has turned into a mug rug. 🤭

    I'm enjoying your tutorials. It would be easier to see if you filmed on a plain white background.

    I'm confused about the string and yarn colors - are they both off-white?

    • @spruceandlinen
      @spruceandlinen  Год назад

      Yes- the warp string is off white, and the weft strings (horizontal) are off white and yellow

      Sorry to bother you again - what about the Bernat cotton yarn? I thought that was off white as well.

    I don't have any cotton string. Is yarn ok to use and what kind would be best?
    Love your work and easy to follow!

    • @spruceandlinen
      @spruceandlinen  2 года назад

      Yes, it can work- it's not quite as nice to work with but if you have something with little to know stretch that would be ideal ☺️ you can also try twine if you have some kicking around!

    How does the string not fall off the end? is the weave twining meant to hold it?

    • @spruceandlinen
      @spruceandlinen  10 месяцев назад +1

      The tight twining stitch and plaint weave at each end with thin yarn holds things in place nicely.

    I don't understand how you to the ending twining row. The video speeds up when you do it and I'm not sure if you cut a piece of yarn to to the twining or use the same piece. 😅

    • @spruceandlinen
      @spruceandlinen  2 года назад

      Cut a new piece and start at the end opposite of the side you ended your plain weave on 😊
