Thank you!!! You are an excellent teacher!!! I see several weavers using a heddle bar on frame looms. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a heddle bar? Will you be offering them from your shop?
Just found your channel, nice, clear instructions. First time weaver here...bought a loom but want to know how to choose yarn. Any type as long as they're all the same for a project? Will check out you other videos to learn about changing colors, etc. Thanks for your time

You’re welcome 😊
great tutorial. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Wonderful!
Thanks for your great tip Janelle! We will be introducing weaving to our class again and I was just wondering if we should tie both ends of the weft yarn (BASE) that you just showed us or just weave it in once we are finished making the entire Weft.
I typically both weave those ends in as shown, and tuck them in when I'm done. 😊
Loved it! I was wondering if you could teach Krokbragd (Scandinavian weaving) in the tapestry looms
I am interested in Krokbragd as well. It looks fascinating
I am! But I have only woven it on a floor loom, I will definitely be figuring it out for frame loom weaving at some point!
Thank you
very informative madam thanks
Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
thank you, 🧡🧡🧡
You’re welcome!
Thanks you. You are excelente!
Thank so so much!
Do you do a twining stitch every time you start a new thread of yarn?
Gostaria que vc pudesse ter legendas em português pra eu saber o que vc está falando, amo seus trabalhos 🥰❤
Do I need to start this way if I'm NOT removing the strings? I'm thinking yes to twining/tabby but no to cardboard. Thoughts? Ty Christine
I want to get into weaving similar size projects but I am wondering whether to get a tabletop loom so that I’m flexible in the long run. What are your thoughts?
Thank you! Are you familiar with Krokbragd(Scandinavian weaving)
How do you weave the cardboard in when the warp strings are so close together!!
Can I use cotton warp string for the whole project,if i don't want to use yarn ?
I really struggled with this because my loom has a different amount of strings and the last string is an 'under' not an 'over' string like yours is.
Спасибо, показали понятно!
You’re so welcome!
Have a question...After I finish the twining row & want to continue, (maybe I'm not understanding correctly)do I just cut the next regular weaving row at the end & start a new row? Hope you understand my question.
Hi I’m not sure if you mean for the plain stitches (which are the last two rows) but she kept the same length of yarn that she measured five times the length of the loom for: first row twining and second and third was plain. She didn’t cut it until she was finished all of these rows. Her next steps were with knots with another video, but even if you were doing another weaving technique or color you would add another yarn as it probably wouldn’t be long enough to continue on with so many rows with just the five times lengths. I hope this helps.
I’m a little confused as to how you actually finish your piece and prevent it from coming apart. I’m building an 8 foot frame loom out of wall studs to weave blankets on- do you have any suggestions for finishing a piece or making sure it doesn’t come apart after I finish it? Can I just use the technique in this video and call it a day, or would another step be necessary?
This video shows how I take the weaving off the loom and finish it: ruclips.net/video/GN5jyY4CBBA/видео.htmlsi=ZhF5XI2tx_uO7Fm0
@@spruceandlinen Thank you so much!!! Just finished the frame yesterday and gonna get started weaving today!!
👍🏼 I tried but it did not work 😅 excellent 👌🏼💯
Thank you how do I start
Is that wool chunky yarn you used above the card stock?
It’s a wool blend yarn, all the tools and materials are listed in the description 😊
@@spruceandlinen Ahhh 1st time I don't read the description 🤭 Thanks!
istruttivo
I make quilts. I crochet them by hand. Takes forever. I want to make them quicker. I make graphgans, (some call them tapestry crochet) Really wish youtube let you put pics in the comment section so you could see what i'm talking about..Like the baby blanket I am working on now is 166 stitches across by 185 stitches tall.. I want to learn everything about weaving to make my designs go quicker..Please help!
If we don't have warp string can we use any substitutes?
For frame loom weaving I always suggest something with no stretch!
I use crochet cotton
I made 2 projects but both of them turned out like an hourglass
How do I prevent that?
This video should help: ruclips.net/video/g4iaPTmzvuU/видео.html
Not me taking 2 hours just to get a rule through the warp strings…
How do you thread the tapestry needle? You sort of skip over that
Hi. Like how you thread a regular needle with thread. Think of the yarn as a thick thread…the needle will have a whole in it and you put it in. But you don’t knot it like you do when regular hand sewing. Hope this helps.
I will make a RUclips short on this soon! I've actually never been asked that before but I'm glad you did because I'm sure there's others that wonder! As a written explanation, if you're using a chunky yarn, what I like to do is fold the yarn making a loop and then squish that loop through the hole on the needle.
How many inches does your farm loom is?
And if we have 12 by12 loom weaving frame what should be the size of cardboard please please guide me
This loom has a weaving length of about 14". I like my cardstock to be at least 2 1/2" tall- it needs to be tall enough that you have enough length in the warp strings to tie them into knots later. The height will sometimes depend on the project and how you want to finish the top.
Please help me I want mek
To me it’s a little too fast at the beginning, I’m very very new to this

How big is your look please?

My only problem: i made that frame with cardbord by hand 🥲
