Neat to see the reversers deploying on a CFM 56 engine. Best view I’ve seen of that. My employer’s A319s and A320s use V2500 engines which use cascade vane reversers. That’s where as the reverser cowls slide aft, blocker doors divert bypass air through the exposed vanes, directing the airflow forward. Interestingly, the CFMs on 737s use cascade vane reversers as well. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an Airbus with CFMs up close. I’ll have to read up on how the reverser linkage works on those engines. Thanks for the video.
Tuff call. Some things may point to a (very) well rendered sim, like lack of engine pylon elasticity. The whole thing appear to move a bit too fast for my taste but on the other hand I have never ever seen a sim rendering all the graphics so beautifully and without the usual constant scene loading/unloading blurry thing happening. I was intrigued but paid very close attention to any indication of tire meeting pavement when it landed……I believe that MS and their have done a outstanding job with this latest release.
@@molliesdad4702 Okay I did rewatch it carefully and the engine pylon IS wobbling from time to time, especially during power changes (like going full flaps) so for me this is it : REAL
This is 100% real from start. MSFS A320 don't have slats, don't have vibrations. Then a dozen other things when you can see the land. I listed at least 12 dead giveaways earlier.

Something that caught my attention was upon turning into the taxiway @ 7:18, the front left tire appeared to be under inflated. I understand that tires do tend to give way on turns, but for an aircraft of this size, it surprised me as to how low the tire body gives way, it almost appears the tire rims may even touch the pavement.
That's very common on the A320. If you tke a look at the NLG from the side, you can see how it's slightly tilted forward. So when it steers to one direction, one of the wheels might not even come in contact with the ground! (P.S. I work on A320's all day, but mainly on an empty maintenance configuration, I assume if it's full of pax and cargo the tyre deformation is even higher)
The far fog gives away quick but any doubt is thrown out by the reflections, vegetation and vehicle traffic. Also, MSFS A320 doesn't have slats so dead giveaway
For everyone who wonders: ITS REAL. Pilots make mistakes, yes he overshot the final approach and had to correct. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. Flying manually isn’t easy. Oh don’t come at me with “oh but he put his gear down too soon” no he didn’t. Some airlines/airports have an SOP(Standard Operating Procedure) that states the be FULLY CONFIGURED(max flaps, gear down, minimum approach speed) at a certain point at a specific airport. Why? Safety. How? 1. The plane is slower that way so there is more time to anticipate. 2. It takes workloads off the pilots so they can focus on navigating visually and properly flying the aircraft(since everything has been done and cross checked). The reflections don’t freeze. The plane actually moves slightly side to side in the air making it slightly orbit around a small area making it seem like it freezes. Think about when you drive a car and you try to follow a sign with your head compared to looking straight ahead and letting the sign pass you without looking at it. To your eye it will be stationary in the middle of your eye, but the car is still moving and not frozen. The shadows aren’t fake. If you look closely when reverser deployed it refracts some light back into the shadow perfectly without any sort of detail loss or ambient occlusion glitches. Even the newest unreal engine struggles with that. Only real life can do that perfectly. Also, if you look at how the plane suspension works, how it sways on touchdown, how the nosewheel bends and deforms in turns, etc. In msfs gear looks weird. You can check it yourself. When moving, airline gears become fuzzy. This stays perfect like a real wheel would. Also, there is no lod pop in. In msfs even with lod in the config file on 9.0, you will still have slight popping in the distance. Here it’s 0. Also look at the road traffic. We all know msfs road traffic is very weird and not smooth. It’s also see through. In this video traffic is perfectly fine. This video is not a render or simulator.
LMAO THATS JUST REAL LIFE PROCEDURE! Did you not know certain airports have procedures to be fully configured and at final approach speed WAY before even seeing the runway? Are you stupid? Ever heard of Madeira? You are fully configured, going 130 knots full flaps gear down doing a 180 degree turn to the runway. Stfu
? Excellent en tous cas.👮🙂
It took about 15 seconds to figure it out. Real planes are moving around all the time. And planes that size are constantly flexing. You see none of that here. Either way, the footage looks great.
Flight simulator of course!!! Not of course because very professional quality!!!! Excellent job!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you check carefully, it looks a bit like video game but really high definition level!
To people thinking this is a sim because the landing gear has been retracted early, you are missing a crucial point. How would we have such a nice footage if the captain retracted it just on approach ? This was the aim of putting a camera on the landing gear guys. It is 100% real life there is absolutely no doubt (not mentioning the variety of textures that no sim can ever reach)
Not only I would totally lower the landing gear earlier just to get the footage, you CAN lower it at any time if speed is under 240k (on the A320), which should be your speed for the last about 10min of the approach anyway. Dozens of dead giveaways this is real, only the first 10~20 seconds can fool someone (who doesn't know the MSFS A320 doesn't have slats, which are clearly visible here)
There are certain approaches where it is required to retract early like the one in Japan. But I ain't sure on this approach prolly captain's decision, It seemed like it was an intercept from above since they were on idle for a very long time even with the gears retracted(cause the only time I heard the engines were on final app).

Excellent ground texturing, especially the runway - best I've ever seen on a flight sim! Very realistic. Shadows are still not quite right (plane on the ground), but not too bad. The mesh is very detailed and accurate now - is the resolution less than 1m? Although the photo real scenery was good, it was too bright once one got down low, and that looked fake. Great to see passable road traffic. One thing I note all flight sims miss out at the moment is wildlife and people - and without those, as good as the overall graphics are, things still feel sterile. I know that details like animals and people are really only visible below a certain altitude, but without their presence the "oh wow!" factor drops off under 1,000 feet or so. Still, this video shows a flight sim miles ahead of poor old FSX, the last sim I tinkered with...
You realize this is a real video right? About the shadow, you can literally see the light reflect off the thrust reverser back into the shadow without compromising a single bit of detail of the shadow. This isn’t a render. The whole title and description is there to make you think it’s rendered. It’s not. It’s a real video of a real plane in the real world. Look at the suspension, ground handling, etc. Read the a320fcom and look at the specified times for the gear doors to close. You’ll see it perfectly matches the time on the video. It’s crazy how people genuinely believe this is an msfs render
Wrong. First, you can't see flaps, only the slats (which are not implemented in the game, your first hint), second, you start slats at decel, which starts about 5 minutes before landing, so ... not that soon. Gear is down about 2 minutes before flare, but since they went to the trouble of strapping a go-pro on it, I don't see why not lower it earlier. It can be lowered as long as the speed is under 240knots (the plane was already around that speed when the video started). This is real.
@@SvrM_ Yep. And the slats rendered in the game are kind of crappy, their contour do not look much like the real ones, that's one point on the FS2020 A320 that can could use some improvement.
@@MrCaiobrz Experience simmers lol put them in the real plane they won't be able to land it especially something like an a320 that requires intensive training.

I personally would have to say it's the go pro, if you look down to the left on approach you can acually see vehicles on those small roads, much too perfect for SIM. Thank you for making this video It's perfect and well done..👍👍✈
Couple reasons I think it's FS: 1.) you could notice the plane pitching and then the camera catching up. I would think that if the camera were fixed, this wouldn't be possible. 2.) the landing seemed a little hot. That's my thinking, anyway.
what you mention about the camera movement is the stabilization software it has integrated with it the gopro9, you can see it clearly in other gopro videos, take a look!
It´s 100% flightsim. The details after landing gives it away. +there is now way any airline would allow any tampering with the landing gear of an aircraft in service.
after the landing is where you can actually see that it's real, there is no flightsim with that amount of detail on trees. not to mention that this channel has an older video of takeoff with a camera on the landing gear as well
And, everyone should have realized that the landing gear came down way too early. A real plane, the landing gear would not have come down until after the Left turn and lined up for the runway.
man i had a hard time deciding if this was real. the only give away i could find is that the animations of the gear and thrust reversers where to smooth and regid for real life. but if you were to add mocap (somehow) i think youve reached the point where you cant tell a diffrence anymore. well at least for me anyway
They don’t freeze. If you pay attention the plane turns slightly towards the reflected area. What happens when you fly circles around something? It seems stationary! Crazy!
You can, specially if you have a camera attached to it to record the landing. You can see how MSFS2020 looks for this approach here: ruclips.net/video/YvsYWnSdllc/видео.html
just look up microsoft flight simulator 2020 4k, and its clear that is what this is, if you want clear proof, look at the rendering of the buildings at 8:52 . Also guys cmon, how can you possibly think that the FAA or relevant aeronautical administration would allow someone to 'strap' a go pro to the bottom of a commercial passenger aircraft on the landing gear of all places. There are so many safety issues with that. Not to mention im pretty sure the only plane with outside camera's is the a380, and that has it on the tail and underbelly only.
It's a real video. look at the upper left corner- the distance between engine and the frame is changing meaning the camera is moving a bit (plus stabilization)

no pilot would extend the landing gear if he couldn't see the runway
The lowering of landing gear this early gave away it was a FS.
Video is cool though.
I was there a few months ago. The final turn over the coastline was one of the coolest moments for me.
It took about 15 seconds to figure it out. Real planes are moving around all the time. And planes that size are constantly flexing. You see none of that here. Either way, the footage looks great.
I like the fact that everybody says that they're 100% sure that it's real or sim but in the end, nobody knows
Its 10000% real, there is no camera like this in msfs 2020 along with a billion other stuff that's obvious
Woopsies! In the end it's obviously the flight simulator.
There isn't a flight sim in the world that looks like this. That's why its 100% real.
Flight simulator of course!!! Not of course because very professional quality!!!! Excellent job!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you check carefully, it looks a bit like video game but really high definition level!
The pilot seriously buttered the landing💀
Microsoft flight sim 2020 on High graphics and real life doesn’t have does tress its hard to look at it in real life but still it doesn’t when u decend u will get to know
You'll notice the OP has said NOTHING about this video. He's watching all of you fall over yourselves with your declarations of authenticity. What am interesting experiment about how easily people can be fooled. .
The new Microsoft flight sim looks great very real! A real pilot wouldn't have lowered his landing gear as soon as this flight did.

Nice super clear video. Well done!!!
Knew it was the FS. I can’t imagine the FAA being too happy about camera equipment being installed on aircraft to begin with.
FAA in Brazil ?
FAA rules only in US right ?
Many new aircraft now have cameras installed. They can be viewed by the Flight crew in the cockpit.
This is real life bruh

This is real ???
Real. MFS would probably make the whole landscape green
Of course it's real footage. MSFS 2020 doesn't render trees so realistic. And after landing signs of real footage became obvious.
Atterrissage en douceur ! Bravo au commandant de bord 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Still, this video shows a flight sim miles ahead of poor old FSX, the last sim I tinkered with...
what
You realize this is a real video right? About the shadow, you can literally see the light reflect off the thrust reverser back into the shadow without compromising a single bit of detail of the shadow. This isn’t a render. The whole title and description is there to make you think it’s rendered. It’s not. It’s a real video of a real plane in the real world. Look at the suspension, ground handling, etc. Read the a320fcom and look at the specified times for the gear doors to close. You’ll see it perfectly matches the time on the video. It’s crazy how people genuinely believe this is an msfs render
@@Deezorz what's up with gear doors closing time etc.? flight sims can also exactly simulate it. (i know this is real)
No shake at all...great job cameraman😉
This is a real A320 and a real GoPro mounted on the landing gear.
100%.
Mounted on a REAL landin gear
in the real world
The flaps and landing gear would not be set and down so far from touchdown. Unbelievable graphics though 👌🏻🤩
As it's a go-pro, the depth perception would be off. Plus it also depends on what speed ATC have limited the arriving aircraft at.
Exactly what I was thinking.
@@MrCaiobrz ik this is real life but slats are in the game and functional
@@SvrM_ Yep. And the slats rendered in the game are kind of crappy, their contour do not look much like the real ones, that's one point on the FS2020 A320 that can could use some improvement.
Beautiful⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Nice Panorama 👍🏻 _ Thank You for dis Video. :))
Real. No one can land that well in any flight sim.
Wrong, most experienced simmers can, specially if you have ILS
@@MrCaiobrz Experience simmers lol put them in the real plane they won't be able to land it especially something like an a320 that requires intensive training.
@@caribbaviator7058 You will find multiple videos ranging from Mentour Pilot to Captain Joe where they show a totally layperson can land a modern airliner with few instructions. A simmer wouldn't even need those instructions. You might want to update your prejudice.
@@MrCaiobrz This was a VOR approach
@@CockpitScenes Yes, VOR DME on 25R, I never said this was ILS, I said people can land it exceptionally well if there is ILS.
I personally would have to say it's the go pro, if you look down to the left on approach you can acually see vehicles on those small roads, much too perfect for SIM. Thank you for making this video It's perfect and well done..👍👍✈
Very good job 👍 Perfect landing ✨👌 salutations from flytest Airbus Toulouse 😉💖
Seems very realistic but its lacks the various vibrations of the plane and the camera that a real video would have
you know that the gopro is able to stabilize right?
Because the fact that image stabilization being around for 20 years and being a halmark of gopro is not real right?
@@ANVILD3VIL The PLANE'S vibrations aren't fixed by the GoPro. Duh.
@@4seeableTV yes they kinda are DUH
Awfully high altitude to drop the landing gear. I call fake based on that alone. And the stuttering frame rate.
Couple reasons I think it's FS: 1.) you could notice the plane pitching and then the camera catching up. I would think that if the camera were fixed, this wouldn't be possible. 2.) the landing seemed a little hot. That's my thinking, anyway.
I have every single flight sim, nothing looks even close to this. This is reality my friend :)
what you mention about the camera movement is the stabilization software it has integrated with it the gopro9, you can see it clearly in other gopro videos, take a look!
I listed over a dozen dead giveaways this is real but sure, especulate lol. 1. Image stabilization exists for 20 years, 2. That was a smooth landing.
It´s 100% flightsim. The details after landing gives it away. +there is now way any airline would allow any tampering with the landing gear of an aircraft in service.
after the landing is where you can actually see that it's real, there is no flightsim with that amount of detail on trees.
not to mention that this channel has an older video of takeoff with a camera on the landing gear as well
@@odavipr Which airline allows mounting of equipment to it´s landing gear just for YT?
And, everyone should have realized that the landing gear came down way too early. A real plane, the landing gear would not have come down until after the Left turn and lined up for the runway.

It's real, reflections in landing light and details give it away.
I thought it was real. Damn
Well your thought was right, its real.
Gracias por crearme una duda existencial
man i had a hard time deciding if this was real. the only give away i could find is that the animations of the gear and thrust reversers where to smooth and regid for real life. but if you were to add mocap (somehow) i think youve reached the point where you cant tell a diffrence anymore. well at least for me anyway
I think the reflections of the landscape on the underside paintwork on final approach made me believe this is real.
Probably because this is real and MSFS can't get even close?
1,000,000,000 thumbs up! 😎
Flightsim. Look at the reflexions on the aircraft body. Sometimes they freeze (Ex around minute 4:45 and 5:19)
Its real, not flight sim
They don’t freeze. If you pay attention the plane turns slightly towards the reflected area. What happens when you fly circles around something? It seems stationary! Crazy!
@@BIOHAZARDXXXX It's a flight simulator
Awesome is an understatement
I vote for flight simulator. I do not think that they would ever drop the landing gear at such a high altitude
Depends if you need to get some drag out
You can, specially if you have a camera attached to it to record the landing.

just look up microsoft flight simulator 2020 4k, and its clear that is what this is, if you want clear proof, look at the rendering of the buildings at 8:52 .
