It looks great on you I haven’t tried it yet but I’m not really loving the wet feeling look, however I want to try it. As always amazing review loving the additional swatches from the other beauty creators, beautiful Angela 💕
I use the new BD01 and love it - was afraid it would be too pale but it matches without looking lifeless. Two weeks in with this foundation and I am in love.
@@Amira-cc3id i just inserted a closeup of me in the foundation - it is just from a snapshot and I am 70 so my skin is quite “mature” - grin - but you can see the tone - no powder, only skincare under
After watching so many reviews on No. 1, I decided to get a bottle. I have not regretted it. I am B30 and am 49 with combo skin that is increasingly drier with each passing year. I adore the finish of No. 1. Both this, and my Eau de Teint are my daily wears. I do find No. 1 slides off me on a stinking hot Australian summer day.
It looks lovely on you. I just got a bottle in B20, and it looks fantastic. While fair, I still have a bit of colour; it looks so natural and does not settle in any fine lines.
I am really enjoying the new N1 de Chanel foundation in B30. The finish is a very natural skin like finish. Beautiful. I was previously wearing mostly Chanel Water Fresh Tint (medium) or original Sublimage B30 if I was going out. I use Chanel Sublimage skin care. On my dehydrated parched winter skin, the N1 de Chanel foundation hasn't been too glowy. I have normal-dry mature skin which is currently drier than normal due to our very dry cold winter. Thank you for your in-depth review. It is much appreciated.
This was a very helpful review; thank you, Angela! With so many new foundations on the market recently, I have been watching a bunch of reviews. The No1 de Chanel sounds the most appealing to me, as compared to Nars, Charlotte Tilbury, Dior Skin Glow, etc (I have normal to dry + dehydrated skin). Also thank you to the viewers who contributed their swatch comparisons!
Hello Heather :) I think you will love this foundation! I received a lot of feedback from girls with dry and dehydrated skin and they all love the foundation so I would say give it a go. Everyone loves it. xoxo
Hello Angela. I am in love with the new Chanel foundation. I wear 12 beige rose. I would say I have normal skin. Maybe a bit oily around my mouth and nose. So I use press powder from Guerlaine. All in all I love this foundation. XO.
@@Frenchforaday Happy Holidays to you too and thanks for your reply. Would you say you still prefer Dior Nude over Givenchy foundations? Have you tried Prada foundation?
Oh and I've tried the new dior forever skin glow foundation and it is very beautiful, but it shows dry texture on my chin. Everywhere else it looks beautiful and the color match of 0CR is the best color match I've ever gotten. I need something more moisturizing though so I'm hoping the no 1 de Chanel or givenchy will come through for my dry skin!
This was a great video for me to see because I have the Chanel les beiges healthy glow and the dior nude and the givenchy so I really don’t need this new Chanel 1 and this video confirmed that for me ! So happy I didn’t buy it. I need to use up what I have.
I've never had issues with the coco caprylate either and have acne prone skin. And if I use regular coconut oil on my face I pretty much immediately break out, so I think the structure of the coconut derivatives are pretty different and not comedogenic like regular coconut oil.
Angela, yer so young. I have a daughter one year older than you but you're teaching me so much about makeup all the time. Tomorrow we get this foundation in store and I want to go see in person. I don't know if it can work for me and with the tax it's not cheap. Thanks for such a thorough review and helping with the shade and the expectations. 👋🏻😁👍🏻
Hello Tracey :) I'm always so happy to see you here! Please let me know what you think of the foundation when you try it. Have a wonderful weekend! xoxo
Yes this was really so helpful! I'm especially interested in the givenchy now as well, especially if it's more skin-like and better for the hot summer months. I'm going to get a sample of the givenchy one and try that as well! And now I'm very confident in the color match of b10 for the new no 1 de Chanel foundation 💗 Although the givenchy has glycerin lower on the ingredients list, and fragrance higher up, so I guess I'll have to try them both and see which is better for my dry skin!
Dear Angela, thanks for keeping me waiting for this video... For I already love the Les Beiges foundation, the Eau de Teint and the Vitalumiere Aqua I will skip the new one.. At least for now.. Maybe I will order it some day if the curiosity gets too bad.. But seems to be too rich for my skin! Thank you so much for your help and honest opinion on this one. Xoxo, Steffi
Hi Angela. As always, a sensible review. I find the new C Tilbury foundation too light, but the magic one too heavy. Which Chanel one would be better? Also, like you, I am very pale and suit no darker than colour B10 in CC cream. and need NO oxidising! Xxx Thanks
Hi, thank you for your helpful review. I’m thinking about getting one but, as I already got the Givenchy Prism, I should restrain myself from buying a new foundation. Will see lol.
I would like to have seen the new lighter color BD01 but I read a description that states" light with a golden undertone" I am a 101 in Dior and just don't know what shade to get!
Thank you for such a thoughtful review. I used up the last of my Chantecaille Future Skin last week and have just been wearing my Eau de Teint since then as I agonize over what foundation to buy; I never have more than one going at a time. I may finally give the Givenchy a go. I like a light, skin-like coverage with some glow.
your reviews are wonderful, thank you. I'm also a very fair skin and i have problems to find the right shade. Also very sensitive, so thank you for saying if make up has fragrance. You do a great job
Chanel no1 oxidised on my nose and gave me patches. Got BD01. I have dry skin. Found it dry for me not moisturising. Returned it. Searching for another foundation
Thank you for the review, I was just wondering, what exactly makes Givenchy prisme libre to work better for you than Dior natural nude? I’ve seen both of your reviews on two of them, and it’s really interesting, which one is better in your opinion, and mainly why, thanks in advance:) Btw, I’ve decided to use Dior natural nude after watching your reviews, and I purchased 0N shade, it turned out to look just great on my normal to combination skin, and the shade was a perfect match; it seems to me that your skin tone is even lighter than mine, maybe it was just about more suitable shade for you when you compered Dior and Givenchy?
Hello :) The 1N from Dior is my summer shade :) I guess I prefer Givenchy prisme Libre over Dior because it is less glowy on my skin. Dior Nude is definitely more glowy. During the summer months my skin gets a bit oily and I always try to stay away from more glowy foundations. I find that when it's hot Dior makes my skin a bit shiny. xoxo
Hello Gail, I'm so sorry to hear that. Apparently your skin is sensitive to fragranced makeup. Thank you so much for watching and for the feedback! xoxo
Is Chanel No.1 replaceable with Les Beiges tinted moisterizer? Since les beiges tined moisterizer is not purchasableanymore, I am searching for something like it. Please help😅
Actually, I would venture to say those over 40 with dry skin will be the least impressed with this foundation. I saw nothing of value after putting it on and I am over 40. It clung to every dry patch and pore. I agree that it was disappointing to pay for something that made me look worse. I am not enjoying what is referred to as clean beauty either.

Thank you so much. I love the look on your skin. Really healthy. And sexy
VERY VERY disappointed in this foundation. Luckily I tried it an alternate days alongside the IT cosmetics your skin but better and I was able to see the huge difference. The It cosmetics one is one third of the price less and twice as beautiful. This Chanel foundation felt oily, did absolutely nothing for my skin to blur or improve its appearance. It got oilier as the day went on . The one good thing it looked imperceptible but then again so does the It cosmetics one. Even thought it was undetectable the Chanel one did really nothing to make my skin look more refined. Whereas the It cosmetics one looked like a veil. The only thing I need to say is the It cosmetics can look a little matte ,although not a flat or dehydrated matte but it certainly is less luminous. But at the same time my skin looked beautiful with the It cosmetics one whereas with the Chanel I looked like I was wearing a CVS product . I had much higher expectations from a product that is over 70 dollars.
