Always use pallets that have HT stamped on them, these are Heat treated, no chemicals.
Also remember when using power tools, always use proper Safety equipment, like Safety glasses and hearing protection.

Good tip. Haven’t had that happen, but occasionally when shutting it off the steering wheel is close to the position where it locks. Then the key won’t turn till the wheel is moved with a little force one way or the other to release the tension on the key tumbler.

Idk bout a liquid in the ignition but I turn my wheel a bit while not turning at first then it will turn (lmk if it works)

I'd like to add, after you get it started and you get home, get a replacement ignition cylinder and swap it out asap. don't rely on this method to work every time. I waited and now no matter how many times i bang on it, it wont turn to the ON position so i can unclip the cylinder.
This is the internet... fast n cheap/free is all that matters! You should see how I got roasted in the LEXUS forums, for giving free, accurate and helpful advice on a lost key issue.

For all of you folks that tried the suggestions on this video only to have your POS Ford stay stuck, do as I did. Loose your cool and look like an idiot in front of a parking lot full of people. That is the key. Then take your pliers and force it kinda hoping to break something! It worked for me and didn't even break it.

Look at a video on steering wheel lock, could help.
Sir, I love you, but spraying stuff around the outer perimeter can get into the antenna coil around the lock, and damage it.
I strongly recommend only a tiny bit of HOUDINI, no WD40 or Graphite or Teflon is ok. Ford Locks do intermittently fail. If you do not have a lock shop nearby to get any Houdini, CRC5-56 is ok, as is Silicone spray lube. Intermittent failure is a GIFT from Ford, to replace the lock, or the keys if they are worn, with freshly code cut keys... if problem persists, a freshly coded ignition lock cylinder is indicated.
I use break cleaner and it worked just as good...still can't believe this worked...haaaaa

Clean the key 1st , and then spray barrel with wd40 😊
this works in a pinch but doesn't solve the problem long term. Don't ignore it, replace the ignition cylinder and count your blessings!
