Still by far my favorite video game of all time, it's just an instant timeless, classic. The music, the graphics, the atmosphere, this game is Nintendo perfection.
If that’s a legitimate question, it’s most definitely because of the hardware’s sprite limitations, if you use a code to get Yoshi in a fortress, there’s a plethora of flickering sprites and glitched objects, and I guess their workaround for that was to simply leave him outside to wait for Mario.
I love pretty much everything Mario. Such a classic and nostalgic game. This one took me about two weeks to beat completely. Blue Yoshi was my baby. That child used to just fly all over the place. SPECIAL was my favorite level.

Francis Vazquez I think it was just an important part of my childhood. I remember staying up all night at my uncle's house and he would play Super Mario Brothers I think he did sometimes play Super Mario World and Super Mario Brothers 3 and we'd be up all night just to watch him play at just to watch him beat it that's actually how I know how Super Mario World Ends
Now that was a Longplay! Such memories as I watched the first SNES game from start to finish, all the secrets unlocked.. Visual quality of the recording was good too, no complaints here! Excellent job, Schiauchi.
First game I ever played. Dad bought my brothers and I a SNES in the early 90's... ugh, I loved it. I'm so thankful for everything my parents did for me back then and continue to do.
This game has an ever lasting legacy when you think about it. Without this game we would not have all those fan made games that use this game's engine like The Second Reality Project games, Super Demo World, Luigi's Adventure, Brutal Mario etc. All those hacks/fan games. All thanks to this wonderful game right here.
Super mario world [a.k.a super mario bros 4 in japanese] was a very memorable game I played on the super nes. First the graphics, second the soundtrack, third the gameplay, while everything else was awesome.Back when I was a youngster I could only past a few levels but not too many levels due to the challenging in other later levels but when growing up during my elementary school days my brothers downloaded this game on the emulator for me to play again and I was able to complete the entire game to the end of the game and unlock secret hidden levels.Finding the exclamation mark block level locations was hard to look for but on the other hand this game was enjoyable and memorable so thank you for uploading this video this game takes me back from what I also remember especially when games use to be cool back then.
Those were the days. I still play my games like it was 1990s, fuck the DLC. Why do I have to buy DLCs in order to play a game that cost $60? At least when Super Mario World first came out I got it for $40 and never needed to download further quests and areas in order to beat it.
@@LadyCoyKoi Well DLC is great as game developers can add more things that consumers want and/or the game designers just thought about the idea way too late like Animal Crossing New Leaf for example. But yeah, I agree with you gaming companies seriously abuse the hell out of it just to get that extra cash outta consumers and I can't stand day 1 DLC. It's so stupid lol.
Yes, but "the whole thing" is comparable to what you get with most base games of the current generation., so it doesn't really seem like an apples to apples comparison IMHO. For most games, DLC is truly "extra" content rather than something that would have otherwise been in the base game if DLC didn't exist.
Wow, it's been at least 11-12 years since I played this and I've never even thought of this game ever since. It's kind of awesome to see it again, because there's just so much I remember without knowing I did. Thanks for uploading! :D
im only 30 minutes into this and im shocked and amazed at how many shortcuts and hidden passages i missed as a kid, dude you are really good at this game lol, thanks for uploading.

As soon as i started watching this video its all came back to me and hit me like a ton of bricks, i remember every level and every puzzle and every fine detail of this masterpiece, and i havnt been near it in 20 years
The most uniform way of completing this game, including the Star Road and Special Worlds, would be to play the first standard Worlds in order first (unlocking the secret paths, including those to Star Road, along the way), and then go to Star Road and Special World after first completing Larry's Castle in World 7.
the most nostalgic game and system i ever played was super nintendo i miss being a kid in the 90's this system has never bored me a day in my life everytime i pop a game in and play it gives me a feeling joy and makes me feel at home all the time lol it is that special to me

still the best. in 1991, it was Nintendo's flagship Mario World vs Segas flagship sonic. While sonic was more visually spectacular, this title had more depth. The replay value was high because there were so many secrets to find i.e. star road, the star road secret levels, the backdoor to Bowser. this game is simply the best.

From what I read on Super Mario Wiki, Iggy Koopa sounds like he is demented and a nutcase just like Donald Trump is. I read that he smacks his own ass in front of Mario.
Kurt Harold then again, you have this one idiot, the Socialist from Vermont, that convinces people that socialism is a good idea, people only vote for him because he wants to legalize weed, and that's the only excuse they can give for wanting him to be president
GameDjeenie There were the Yoshies [red yoshi for fire ball, yellow for destruction, and blue for flying] which are not power ups but I still count them though.
It's not so bad... we got Skyrim thanks to the 3d realistic gaming era. It's not all that bad. ^_^ I would say that it is the XBOX live crowd that ruined the gaming world for us. >_
Super Mario World on the GBA and SNES were both a big part of my childhood. Although, I think my favorite Mario game is Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.
As much as I'd like that to be true, I'm afraid they don't make them anymore. Computer is fine enough, since I get to save the game as well. I could even play it without downloading emulator.
This is my all-time favorite Mario game! I completed the game with all dragon coins & all 96 levels with Luigi on the Game Boy Advance version. Luigi's floating jump definitely increased the difficulty of some sections. I have such fond memories of playing long into the night to thoroughly finish this game.
Ahhh... Such sweet memories... It's amazing that the old SNES at my house still works so I can still play this gem and many of my other favs (like Tertris Attack, DKC, and Super Mario All Stars) :D It's as old as I am! (which is about 19, give or take a few months) And no matter how many times I see the dynamite explode in Mario's face at 1:41:28, it never gets old... I still play Roy's Castle over and over just to see that XD
Though I still think the Genesis is a far better console overall and definitely the one I preferred playing back in the day (I had both), I will concede that when I picked up my SNES and got Super Mario World, my Genesis was starved for attention for about a month. I couldn't stop playing this masterpiece! At age 19 back in 1992, I couldn't get enough. The same magic and charm that enthralled me 6 years prior with Super Mario Bros. at age 13 was present with this one. And only a little over a year after I got the excellent Super Mario Bros. 3? When I got great platformers like this, I had realized how far we really had gotten since my 9 year old self was rotting my brain to "Megamania" just 10 years prior. And to think just 4 years later "Super Mario 64" would completely reignite that love and passion. The love and adoration I have for this game will never die. I still play through it at least once a year!
Everytime I hear the opening to this game, it brings me to tears. Nothing brings up nostalgia like Super Mario World
I just watched this video because I came here to read your comment and the nostalgia to this game hit me again.
What about Donkey Kong Country?
Same man same😢
EricWilke1141987 the whole trilogy kicks ass.
The final boss fight with Bowser in this game is still one of my favorite boss fights of all time.

A playthrough that has no cheat, no glitch and just chill gameplay. Thank you for this and the nostalgic feels you gave. I enjoyed it so much.
Even though this game is 26 years old, it still looks new for a 16-bit game.
TomboyGamerGal what we need to do when the game ends? We need to reset the game???
yep
DragonMast3r9 HOW CAN THAT BE 8BIT!!!?? you can't even see any textures or glares in 8bit
Magik kill K!ng snes is 16, the original nes is 8
Sho_Nuff' nes is overrated. Snes is where it’s at.
I love how Yoshi just patiently waits outside when you get into a castle
lol yeah, he’s also not allowed
@@Karnage233 but why
If that’s a legitimate question, it’s most definitely because of the hardware’s sprite limitations, if you use a code to get Yoshi in a fortress, there’s a plethora of flickering sprites and glitched objects, and I guess their workaround for that was to simply leave him outside to wait for Mario.

Or how Mario tries to punch him in the head and he sticks his tongue out lol

Kurt Harold then again, you have this one idiot, the Socialist from Vermont, that convinces people that socialism is a good idea, people only vote for him because he wants to legalize weed, and that's the only excuse they can give for wanting him to be president
Brings back so many fond memories!
2:24:31 I like to cha-cha
22 years later and this game is still awesome
38:08-38:09 How did you glide backwards!?

missxxmissxx lol
such a classic. I've beating this game sooo many times its really fun
To people saying Super Mario Brothers 3 was better, was there a Yoshi in SMB3?
No.
Paulette Sprigg Then I stand corrected.
Miyamoto had plans for including a rideable creature for Mario in the original Super Mario Bros., but due to limitations he couldn't be added
+Jerry Mores The only thing that's better in SMB3 is the huge amount of different powerups. In SMW, there is only Mushroom, Flower, Feather.
GameDjeenie There were the Yoshies [red yoshi for fire ball, yellow for destruction, and blue for flying] which are not power ups but I still count them though.
LOVED LOVED LOVED This game & then he played that Star World & the Special Stages.....I'm over here jamming to the theme
These was the days when 16 & 8 bit games ruled the world...now you hackers on ps3 etc ruining everything for us.
Give me a break. -____-
It's not so bad... we got Skyrim thanks to the 3d realistic gaming era. It's not all that bad. ^_^ I would say that it is the XBOX live crowd that ruined the gaming world for us. >_
It's a pleasure to watch. Brilliant game :)
Brings bk memories thanks for uploading this
SMW: No need for weapons, so Atari-2600 like.
CoD: 360 NOSCOPE! 420 BLAZEIT! BLABLABLABLA! MLG PRO MTN. DEW DORITOS! GRRRRRRR! *rage quit*.

Super Mario World on the GBA and SNES were both a big part of my childhood.
Although, I think my favorite Mario game is Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.
TUBULAR for fuck sake...you made it look soo fucking easy!
that board drove me insane as a kid.
The beginnings of Unfair Mario.
This was awesome. Excellent LP! My first time seeing the Star Road completed. YOU ARE A SUPER PLAYER!! :)
Super Mario World: The Tale of One Man's Love For His Dinosaur - Fate would try to keep them apart, but Love keeps them together...
The finest moment for Mario. This game never gets old.
I am so glad this game is back & available on computer now.
Thank you Technology :)
You're much better off buying a SNES and the actual game.
As much as I'd like that to be true, I'm afraid they don't make them anymore. Computer is fine enough, since I get to save the game as well. I could even play it without downloading emulator.
There are stores that sell retro games I'm sure you can find something there. Or there is always eBay.
You can get a snes off of Amazon for like 36 bucks
25:38. WOW!!! I did Not know that was possible!!!😨 Awesome Play!!!👏❤
This is my all-time favorite Mario game! I completed the game with all dragon coins & all 96 levels with Luigi on the Game Boy Advance version. Luigi's floating jump definitely increased the difficulty of some sections. I have such fond memories of playing long into the night to thoroughly finish this game.
I love this game even from 1990
Almost 3 HOURS!! OMG! This is awesome
Ahhh... Such sweet memories... It's amazing that the old SNES at my house still works so I can still play this gem and many of my other favs (like Tertris Attack, DKC, and Super Mario All Stars) :D It's as old as I am! (which is about 19, give or take a few months)
And no matter how many times I see the dynamite explode in Mario's face at 1:41:28, it never gets old... I still play Roy's Castle over and over just to see that XD
Dude, thank you sooo much for this video! totally made my day!
In the level before Mario fights Iggy Koopa, I thought I was going to have a heart attack every time Mario was almost crushed by all of those columns.
Happy 30th anniversary to super Mario world
Though I still think the Genesis is a far better console overall and definitely the one I preferred playing back in the day (I had both), I will concede that when I picked up my SNES and got Super Mario World, my Genesis was starved for attention for about a month.
