Please make more videos on bloodborne. Watching a souls virgin playing a souls game for the first time is one of the few true joys of life.
Pro tip1: the gun is not for making damage, is for parrying. There's a reason all of the enemy attacks take a few second to prepare: if you shoot them at the right moment during the animation, they fall on their knees and you can make a critical attack. On most basic enemies, that will kill them.
Pro-tip 2: you can charge up the R2 attack. If you hit an enemy in the back with a full-charged attack, he also falls on his knee and takes a critical attack.
Pro-tip 3: enemy blood cures you, if you hit them while the red life bar is not down yet.
Pro-tip 4: lock on the enemies.
Pro-tip 5: at some point in the near future you reach a bridge. Beware of the bridge.

Believe me, I've had stretches of time where I gave up on these games, but you eventually understand what to do, (hint: GRIND), and once you start getting through areas and seeing new enemies, it becomes incredibly fun.
I just love how they keep attacking Jeff even when he's dead. It's like, 'you're down so stay down. Here, just one more hit to make sure you learned this lesson'
I would say take a shot for every time DB dies, but we'd all be dead by the second episode.

İf you want to learn everything yourself then dont read this but I think this will make everything much more enjoyable and fluid for you DB. I basicly teach you the basics of the game. Ok DB because I really want you to finish the game I am gonna teach you the controls
R1 fast attack
R2 strong attack
L1 transforms weapon
L2 fires gun
O dodge
Holding O running
R3 lock on
Triangle heal
Skuare use item. Now
İf you shoot an enemy in the right time while they are attacking you parry them. Then you hold r1 and that does massive damage. İf you lock on then dodge you dodge faster. İf you press r1 then l1 it does a special attack.
And try to use r1 more often. İf you touch the dpad you can open your inventory menü and if you run then attack or rol and attack it does special attacks. And try to be agressive as possible get close to the enemies and dodge at the right time. Also if you run out of healings then kill some enemies to get some.

I spent almost 20 hours of my 110 hours gameplay on the first level (beating the bridge monster on the way). That's almost 20% of the whole gameplay just to learn to not get ganked. The rest of the game was fairly easy after that. So advice for you Bolt - if you wanna finnish Bloodborne, you have to be a fucking crazy person.
