- If you've played Bloodborne, i feel your pain. You understand how hard this game is but I myself, an ignorant newbie didn't believe the hype. Now i'm playing Bloodborne for the first time ever, and it nearly made me quit.

The first three minutes where you were stuck in the first room perfectly encapsulates the bloodborne experience.
Honestly, died at least 10 times in that room and that got my blood pressure at an all time high

I was like you once. Played just like this, blood borne was my first as well. Went on to beat all their games.
Looking up some basic videos on how the game works changed everything. Understanding how their games work and play and unlocking that knowledge is the main hurdle

Watching your gameplay made me remember my own beginings in bloodborne. It was my first fromsoftware game so I'm especially sentimental about this game.

my surprise when i saw how many subscribers you had! class vid mate more entertaining then most who cover this painful game + the gun is a parry btw and then you can visceral for lots of damage with r1 after parrying

To parry, you have to shoot them mid swing. Not at the beginning of the swing or after, but halfway through the arc of their atack animation. Dodge works the same way. Time it right and you're golden.

I'd love to see another vid on this. I used to dislike FromSoftware games, but Elden Ring got me hooked and when I revisited Bloodborne I absolutely loved it.

I literally did my entire first play through without knowing how to parry or how to do a visceral attack 😂😂 I didn’t know it was a thing cause Bloodborne was my first FromSoft game as well. Looking back I don’t know how I did it because I love visceral attacks.

ehhh, not really, dark souls and especially elden ring are one of the best games of all time though, bb really doesnt innovate much of the souls formula other than really minor combat tweaks and SEVERELY limiting its environment variety and design. i really tried to love this game as much as them but frankly it felt like an utter downgrade in everything but music, and jeezuz that freakin framerate.
@@flamingmanure ahhh you see I’ve been playing bloodborne for years! And I’ve never played dark souls, only just picked up elden ring this year, so I guess I have nothing else to compare it to. But yes, they definitely need to re release with 60fps 😅

Talk to npc's by windows with red lanterns they give you usefull items sometimes

It's both funny and sad how you somehow managed to find almost every location in the first section but the shortcuts xD also congrats seems like the youtube algorithm favoured you this day, have a sub mate :D I would recommend playing through Bloodborne on your own and try not to take advice. You only get your first playthrough experience once especially if its your first Fromsoftware Game. But if you really need/want advice I am happy to help you out, I have played every Fromsoftware Game far more than I should have xD

Lmao omg, literally me when I first started. 😂 Bloodborne was my first, took me YEARS to get gud just cuz I suck. But now I proudly have a max level 544 Bloodborne character that I put my heart and soul into and I love helping other players with co-op!
You're doing great, we promise. Lol. Just have fun, use whatever weapons you want, upgrade whatever you want, take your time, and just do your thing. Playing it as blind as possible is the best way to play. The only advice I'll give you is to try and read all the item descriptions to help you learn the story and the lore. It's one of the best video games stories ever created, IMO.

oh boy the nightmares that await you, i'd wish my first fromsoft game to be bloodborne but i came up after the full dark souls trilogy, still enjoyed it tho
make sure you play the old hunters DLC its beyond pure gold

Bloodborne was my first platinum 🥲 I fell in love with Souls games after discovering it. I've platinumed 6 souls verse games since then. 🥰 I can not wait for Lies of P in September. It reminds me of BB

I'm one trophy away from platinuming the game, and I have a couple tips: the bigger bosses are easier to fight if you're not locked on to them, and your blood vials and bullets will refill after death/when you go to the dream if you have any extras in storage, but other consumables (molotovs, etc) will need to be taken from the storage chest in the dream workshop. Best of luck!
One trophy away you got this! Thanks for the tips Nicole, yeah that Cleric Beast tore me apart. I'll need to get stocked up on some blood vials and consumables before heading in otherwise i'm getting destroyed again
you know that moment you shot that one guy and it knocked him to his knees, then you walked up and said 'hey these are some fine looking intestines, lemme spread them out on the ground to view them better'? That was a parry. Or, technically it's called a riposte

damn i’ve played the game a lot years ago. But when i hear this is my first from software game i knew this gonna be a good one.😂😂
That was rough, but we all have that first contact moment with FS games. Mine was DS1... But the things is when you manage to get used to how FS games works it becomes very enjoyable, to a point when im kind of boring right now playing Elden Ring because how much easy and permissive the games is compared to previous FS games.
Yeah you picked arguably the hardest one to start with 😂 if you need any tips or anything I’ve got the platinum for this game and know a lot. Also I’d recommend farming then same enemies for awhile to level up and search guides for upgrade materials and level your axe up a bit.

@@kevchinlee you’ve got this, like I said just farm enemies for a little bit and get some levels and search for some upgrade materials and do that then fight the cleric beast. You could try to fight Gascoigne who’s just up from where those beats get run over by the flaming ball. He’s easier with oil pots and Molotov cocktails. You can also parry him but that comes with learning the window. But if you’re truly stuck then you can summon people in, like me and I can help or drop some stuff for you. Also took me a long time and I did the DLC too :)
This was the first souls game I ever played by chance. Ended up being my favorite of them all. I also used the hunters axe for my whole first play through. Extended the axe and charging the R2 does massive damage and staggers almost anything. Might want to try that.
@@trixenzo3398 right gotcha, i'll be getting myself upgraded first and farm the enemies. Load up on cocktails for Mr Gascoigne. Oh no way i had no idea you could summon people in! YOu must have put so many hours into this game, but well worth it!

I played Bloodborne last, I wish I'd played it when I was still green it was really easy for me. I first tried Ludwig and Maria and second tried Laurence and Orphan. In the game's defense though I was very overleveled, Hemwick, Yahar'gul, and Mensis are great places to farm and the moon and heir runes are easy to find. I will probably be back to inform you that chalices got me f***ed up though, I'm starting Loran today.
The axe isn’t the best weapon for new players imo. If you want a better weapon for free you can cut the hanging bodies down in the rafters in the sewer area and jump down to the rats and you’ll find the saw spear. There’s also a helpful NPC that you can find in the rafters, though a door behind some boxes and stuff.
If you run past the two wolves on the bridge and find the other path to the sewers you’ll find some better armour.
If you want a new gun you can purchase the other starter weapons from the messengers in the dream. I think you need the badge from the pig or after you beat cleric beast to buy them. Guns are very useful for parrying, they don’t do much damage unless you’re doing a bloodtinge build. You’re gonna wanna try and get the parry mechanic down because it’ll make the game much easier in the long run.
Bloodborne may seem hard at first but you’ll get the hang of it, and don’t afraid to explore, there’s a lot of useful items you’ll find during your playthrough 😊

Another tip for you is that every weapon scales off of a different stat. The weapon description will tell you what stat the weapon scales best with. I personally prefer skill builds, because the stat boots your visceral damage. Ludwig’s holy blade is my fav weapon but as long as you upgrade your weapon, use good gems, and upgrade the correct stats almost any weapon in the game can be good. Be careful about the stats you upgrade though because once you level up you can’t change them later.
if you haven’t already, and you plan on continuing Bloodborne I definitely recommend buying the DLC. There’s some really cool weapons, armour, and boss fights.
Also, there’s a ladder by those zombie guys in the sewers that leads to an NPC that will give you an item to help with Father Gascoigne. The path is blocked by a giant but if you sneak up and do a charged R2 you’ll stun him and you can press R1 and do a visceral attack for some big damage ^^

Honestly, i feel your pain. This is probably the most stressed out i've been from starting a new game 🤣
You should try parrying the big trolls using your gun, when you shoot an enemy right before they attack they will get stunned. If you stand right in front of them and hit them while they're stunned you'll land a visceral attack which is basically ripping their hearts out, it practically oneshots them

Bloodborne was my first Bloodsouls game as well. I'm currently playing Elden Ring and it is GLORIOUS. Elden Ring is much easier and very fun. I suggest you try it out as well!
Why didn’t you respawn in the hunters dream after dying to the first warewolf?
There should be a mini cutscene and you spawn in the hunters dream, realise you weren’t really supposed to kill that enemy and you pick up your weapons.
only ended up realising that after a couple deaths lol

You shouldn’t dodge all enemy’s attacks you take double damage if the hit you after your dodge so instead use your gun to parry an enemy’s attacks
