Zippy’s has been an institution in Hawaii forever. They have elevated their menu over the years and their bakery items are legendary. Not at all surprised you had an hour wait since so many Hawaiians are now living in Las Vegas. Glad the food was worth the wait. Have you considered getting a bicycle or moped?

Danny been watching your video for awhile. You are very kind to a lot of iffy restaurants. For me Zippys is the Hawaiian McDonald's, another words CRAP food!
There are a lot of very good family owned Hawaiian Restaurants in Las Vegas you should review and promote. There is a reason this is called the 9th Island bro!
I enjoy your videos, you have a good sarcastic sense of humor. Please try to help out more of our local family owned places of ALL nationalities with your following, it will really make a difference in people's life. As someone who served as a paramedic I think we know where you're heart is, hope you are going to get certified in the state of Nevada, we can use all the paramedic help we can get!

Your comment about the rice is hilarious and reminds me of a much older friend/mentor who has since past who was a long time resident of Hawaii, but born in Japan. He was a very successful (and famous) businessman here in Hawaii who knew Charlie Higa (owner of Zippys) very well. He told Charlie how horrible his rice is and to "add more water!"...Obviously Charlie (who has also since passed) ignored his comments. Charlie's grandson was a classmate of mine, but last I heard he fell victim to some demons...Sad as he could have had been part of a very lucrative empire. On a side, I am born and raised in Hawaii and can say that the quality of Zippys over the years has gone down considerably and I rarely find myself eating there--if at all.
I would pass on waiting over an hour unless it was free.... and I still would have to think about it. 😊
Grew up eating Zippy's for 20 something years, as kid I would take Zip Pac's for field trip lunch and late night eating the chili burrito but my favorite till this day is the chili, I still buy it in the frozen section in the Japanese Markets in CA.
I grew up in Hawaii and I wouldn't wait 2 hours for food, not even for Zippys, unless it was free. Well, since Mr. Su paid for everything, it really was free! So in that case...
I have tried Zippy's, in Hawaii no less, not their food but their restroom.
I give it a 7.5 out of 10. Nothing special but it does its job.
No matter how good the food is I will not wait 2 hours to get service/meal. Zippy's should really hire more staff in both the kitchen and restaurant.

All in the timing.we did not wait for more than 15 minutes. This is all good . Next, the best is the closest Hawaiian meal outside of the Islands. I'm hoping for oxtail soup from Kams of Oahu to come to Vegas.
I’ve developed a taste for Hawaiian food and zippy’s looks like the place to go! Eat hearty and be safe!
I recommended Zippys in another one of your videos (maybe you & Makena) and I see now that you have already been there. Korean fried chicken can be hit and miss sometimes. Sometimes a little dry or with a lot of skin and not much chicken. Depends what Zippys you go to. You can also ask for sauce on the side. Don’t know if Vegas Zippys has malasadas but you need to try that. (Portuguese doughnut) Don’t forget the milk.

My friends and I tried Zippy's in Hawaii, it was pretty good.

Their menu is insane. We have a Hawaiian restaurant or 2 in Atlanta if you want to count Trader Vic's.
It is weird they do not have Spam Musabi on the menu.
I have been to Hawaii many times and basically the food sucks, which is true on Oahu and Kauai. The hotel at the Sheraton on Poipu Beach had pretty good food. All the "fast food" sucked. Some mom and pop restaurants had good breakfast because I always ordered Spam and eggs, and I could eat Spam every day. I have never tried Hawaiian food here in the States.

Looking at it and having that same dish 100s of time, that was their spaghetti with meat sauce. They do have a spaghetti with chili though, but that was not it.
Two hours for that!? That didn't look like something anyone should be waiting two hours for lol it needs to be VERY good quality you can get way better than that at places with no wait 😂😂

Zippys makes everything from scratch and keeps their prices low. A plate of spaghetti, GB, Fried Chicken for $9.95 is unheard of. They do a much better job than any of the publicly traded fast food companies.
