That 'live data' display to monitor the process is probably best way when doing a manual regen if autel allows it, i always ran them in DAS/xentry that way. It is good that DPF is reading 0 g of ash, sign that it is very healthy. The #3 injector is overfueling during regen process which causes fuel accretion into engine oil. That is probably why it is recommended to change engine oil after 2 regen cycles. There should be a 'lambda' value in live data that will display pressure difference in exhaust before & after DPF & after a regen is complete those values should be pretty close to matching to indicate all soot was burned off successfully & minimal back pressure to cause blow-by should exist. As DPF begins to age, it's ceramic tubes inevitably become clogged over time with ash that can't be burned off with regens anymore so back pressure can eventually stretch timing chain if DPF not removed for cleaning.
how do you know when the dpf can't be burned off anymore? how do you know if it's stretched your timing chain? i just had dpf regen done and was able to pass smog, then my EGR went out.
Thanks so much for taking the time on making all those videos for Mercedes Benz Sprinters. We really appreciate all your very well detailed explanation on all the steps on getting the right maintenance on our Sprinters. I own a 2012 Sprinter....it's kind of the same as your but mine has the adblue system. Just wondering if you could please make a video about the gas tank floater....on my truck it goes to full but it doesn't go under or below 3/8 of a tank. I guess that the floating device got somehow stacked at 3/8 of a tank. Thanks so much. We really appreciate
Hello there! Thank you for your video, it really helps to explain how things work... What model Autel scanner is that one? I'm looking for a decent scanner to use on my sprinter van...
Do you know if it is necessary to reset the ECU once you change the DPF with the scanner or a regeneration to get the new values from the differential pressure probes?. I have to change it for a new one, it is very saturated.
I am so happy I didn't know you work on Mercedes I love your Toyota channel. Issue with a 3.0 literal Mercedes engine 2011 the car seems to have the same code glow plug module lost communication is there a common problem with this car
What model of the Autel Scanner did you use?

Thanks! This helps explain my smoke during a recent drive.

What machine do I need to purchase in order to initiate a regen? I just have an innova currently
What model scan tool is that?
which autel is this?
Please can you post what model Autel scan reader you were using for this function.
great video what model is the scanner please
❤thank you,I have 2011 MB sprinter 2500,I have to clean DPF,
Are you guys around Chicago?
You should dpf on your old oil because it contaminate new engine oil

love this video, thank you for sharing
He has a couple of videos on his channel about the Autel MaxiDas DS808
My van is at 209,821 mi. Watching this video
Why can't you do this by just driving on the high way for 20 minutes
