This one really reminded me of Code Absolu almost redundant but just enough of a difference for me to pull the trigger I really wish they amped up the tobacco man that would have made it a 10/10 for me
When you said it has a heavy drydown, I realized exactly what you were talking about. Some scents I notice are harder to inhale when its'a too close to you like sauvage elixr but others are really easy on the nose like Sauvage EDP or Prada Carbon.

Do you mean that it smells bad when you press your nose to where you sprayed it? I definitely notice that. It smells kind of disgusting up close actually, like makes me want to vomit. Getting whifs of it in the air is very nice though. But i just cant wear it on my neck and not get way too intense smell of tabacco
I had the same experience with the sample vs the bottle. My sample was moderately strong like a 6.5/10, noticeable but not pushing far. When I ordered the bottle it projects and pushes at like a 9/10 😂 I’m not complaining but I just didn’t expect it to

Yessss! I have the same opinion on comparing this and the le parfum. Pretty redundant imo and i prefer the lavender/Iris combo in the le male

Elixir has better projection and performance
@@ChelseablueDS the elixir is a beast and its similar to my y edp 2018 bottle in terms of projeectcion n longevity. the leparfum is more tamed i compare it to bleu de chanel Parfum because it lasts a long time but not a huge in-ur-face projectiion
@sumgi1537 i see! I also have Y edp but my bottle is from 2022 which isnt as beastly as earlier batches. The projection of le parfum is strange cos its an edp intense concentration so it should project more than an actual parfum concentration
I have to run my decant dry, since on my skin it smells different than the tester strip I smelled at the mall, but so far so gud. Now for the price to be more agreeable since I'm not absolutely in love with it and it might be too powerful to have as an easy grab and wear
Yeah it will come down in price in 2024 for sure. It definitely will smell different on tester strip and skin. I always recommend trying on both
I wore this last night going out to a restaurant and did like 9 sprays(3 right side of neck,3 left side and 3 on the back) nobody had a problem with it so you can go a bit heavy on the trigger. As for performance i cant track it at all, after 4h i can maybe smell it tiny bit on skin though people around me say that smells great and that i have great sillage hours after that😅
I personally wouldn't recommend it. If nobody said anything, it doesn't mean they didn't notice! But it will definitely perform differently off of everyone.

I tried it on my wrist while i was at store and the smell was projecting whole time when i was driving back home. I kept sniffing my wrist entire evening and i could smell even the next morning. Ordered straight away and already got tons of compliments at work. I think it is worth the hype. I have both Le parfume and Elixir. But i gravitate more towards Elixir.
I completely agree that it is worth the hype. I love stron performance from fragrances because it seems rare now adays
to me it smells siilar to the le parfum. i have both and i too prefer the elixir, its loud and a beast, almost like y edp.
the leparfum is more close to skin, so i wwear that one to work instead

Hey so i recently bought JPG Le male elixir and i gotta say that i love the scent profile however i noticed that it’s usually very subtle and not as intense as everyone makes it out to be. Is this usually normal? I was noticing that it didn’t project as much as i wanted. Fyi, i do 3 sprays. If you have any thoughts, let me know if you think my le male elixir may be fake
Also you should do an honest review on “haramain amber oud gold edition” i been seeing this one as one of those so called gatekept fragrances that are the best for summer time.
It's a lot stronger than you realize. You are most likely going noseblind to it!

I love this fragrance it’s my favorite buy of the year but it doesnt seem to perform well on me.
Most will go noseblind to a scent like this. So strong your nose will filter it out
I smelled this and found it to be overly sweet for my liking. It did smell pleasant especially due to the tobacco.
It definitely can come across as too sweet for some!

I really like the sweetness, but every time I smell it it has this nut kinda smell and I really don’t like that in there. Idk what note that is, but that really turns me off. And almost al the fragnences I have are sweet.
Could be you picking up on the tonka bean and tobacco. I'm sorry to hear you dont like it!
Don’t think it’s redundant to own this and Le Parfum. They smell different enough. Parfum is a cardamom bomb. Elixir is a different beast.

Yes the vanilla in Le Parfum is toasted so nicely and on top you have the cardamom and the iris that makes it smell so unique despite “reviewers” copying each other saying Le Parfum is not a unique scent. Honestly

Projection on skin, longevity on clothes. I recommend a combo of both usually 👌
I want to buy this but how is the tobacco in it? I HATE tobacco fragrances. If it’s slightly tobacco or barely noticeable I’ll get it. But like Spicebomb extreme I hated because it smelled like the tobacco when you put out a cigarette.
To me the tobacco adds a slight earthy element. Not detectable as tobacco specifically. At least to me

I could buy 40ml if it was offered as a sample, but not more. my lifestyle and the places and events I go to, do not predispose me to wear such loud perfumes.I have ultra male and le male parfum, but they sit on the shelf almost full, not because I don't like them, but because the cases in which such perfumes are worn are very rare for me

vis-à-vis I prefer le Parfum. If you analyze them closely enough Le Parfum really doesn’t smell like Elixir at all. I would say Elixir reminds me of a original Le Male bit with added robustness in the tobacco and sweeter with the honey.
For me Ulta male> le Parfum > le Male > Elixir
