This is exactly what I dreamed of having on my toyota in France. So I ordered it because I am very satisfied with all the articles of Diode Dynamics that I have already received.
Works amazingly , best money spent on my FJ Cruiser! It doesnt activate the turn signals upon unlock, just on lock.
Works with my lexus ct200h. Works as advertised!

@1:53 I’m having trouble configuring the “wig wag strobe” feature. Any tips beyond what this video delivered?
I have switchback Leds for the turn signals, is it possible to have the wig wags be the white led instead of the orange turn signal color? Thanks

I got mine for my scion tc2. Only feature I was excited was the unlock and stay on feature but for some reason it only stays on only when locking the car but not when unlocking. Is there a reason for that?

Does this relay fix the hyperflashing on LED bulbs? I installed the DD LED C light upgrade on my 2020 WRX premium and it hyperflashes.
This module does fix hyperblinking. However, you shouldn't be experiencing hyperblinking with our C-Lights. When you setting time for the arrival/departure lights the car have to be on or off? For some reason can't set less than 20 secs 2009 Lexus is350.

thanks for the video guide. am i able to set wig wag as default on my hazard permanently? i on my hazard, flick the lever to the right and managed to get wig wag hazard. however it revert to default after i restart the engine.

This looks very cool, i am curious about the turn signal tap feature, my 05 corolla does not have this feature lile new toyotas do, will this device activate that or will it be unavailable to my application?

Would you run into any problems adding this if you already have resistors?
+Ryan Hanson You should not run into any issues installing our SmarTap with resistors already installed. However, if you do experience any problems at all, disconnecting the resistors should address that.
Sweet! Can the wig wag pattern be activated while the car is running? Or does the ignition need to be in the off position? 🤔
The wig wag pattern should work when the car is running as well.

My left circuit doesn’t work with LEDs front and rear. Does your relay work with a LED/incandescent combination?

I have a 2020 Ascent and it seems like this item isn't compatible from what I've read. I'm mainly looking to switch to LEDs without hyper flashing. I've tried built-in resistor bulbs that worked fine in other cars, but in the Ascent these bulbs will flash normally sometimes, but also will go into hyper flash once they get hot (i'm assuming). My question is how can I get this vehicle to LEDs without hyper flash?

Are the strobe and wigwag options legal to use in New England States and NYC?

Hi guys, really like this idea, just wondering how this would go on an australian fj cruiser? Our indicators on the front only turn on when turning and cant stay illuminated. Is it possible to have the normal wigwag etc etc along with everything else but not have the turn signals constantly illuminated whilst driving? (We have smaller bulbs in the main headlight assy. lens for the same function parking lights) Also do you have a distributor in australia? Cheers

FYI the ADR says when the hazards are on both left and right indicators must turn on and off at the same time, at 30-90 flashes/min iirc

Thanks! I'm about to order. I just installed my switchback c-lights and they're amazing. Only issue I have though is one turns on and one stays off when I switch to the DRL mode on the headlamp switch.

Hi mine apparently stopped showing the arrival function. What’s the reason for this? When I went in the car the left turn signal was engaged although my car was off (if that is a reason it’s off.)

how do you do a combined wigwag strobe effect?
when you say a combo of eight effects, what would they be?
I fitted mine on a 2008 STi Subaru yesterday, dead easy to fit.

Where was the flasher located on your STi? About to do this on a 2014 Crosstrek and haven't really looked yet. Hopefully it's easy.
If I use LEDs for my front turn signals, but retain the stock bulbs in the rear turn signals, will they both blink at the same (correct) speed?
+MaulKiller54 They sure will! The SmartTap will correct any hyperblinking issues with your LED replacements, so they will match with your stock turn signals.

Can I turn off the arrival and departure lighting completely and not do the 10 secs to 90 secs?
While the SmartTap is configurable, it will not allow for you to turn it off.

Do these hazard options hold memory because I can't get it to?
The speed at which you program the hazards to blink will save, but the patterns will not. For example, if you are wanting your hazards to wig wag, you would have to turn on you hazards and then hit the turn signal to activate it.

Hi Ryan! The SmartTap will retain your preferred functions unless you manually reset the flasher!
Has the delay for the Tapturn for 2016+ model WRX/STI with OEM tap turn been fixed with this relay?
+Aaron Sze Yes! Many other CF18 flashers have a longer first blink, due to the analog capacitor used for timing. Our flasher is completely redesigned to be fully digital, so there is no hesitation or longer first blink.

Arrival lights are backwards, they turn on when I lock the doors.
Fausto Rios mine too. And I can’t get anything less than 4 blinks.
I think of you have DRL function it only works on lock.

I have this for a 2006 Tundra but the blinkers do not stay lit during lock or unlock functions. Anyone else have this problem?
