She was 9 years, 2 months when this was recorded, but it wasn't posted until she was 10. Now at 18, most of her fans (Angels) think she is the vocal G.O.A.T. Actually, I think she achieved that at around 14, but that's just my opinion. You NEED to watch her Golden Buzzer performance of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT The Champions. It was totally arranged by 13 year old AJ herself and it was so brilliant that the band Queen posted the performance on their page & wrote "WOW what an amazing rendition of Bohemian". After the show finished Queen did something they had never done to date, they allowed AJ to copyright her version of the song, record & release it. The family is very culturally eclectic but grandmother is a noted Persian artist in her own right...and her mother and sisters keep anchored. Age 10 is a banner year where she really has a sense of her voice and isn’t so mimic driven. Her rooftop version of Everytime We Say Goodbye she stands right next to Ella. Not kidding. And a breakthrough modern tune of the Demo given to her by Baby Fuzz and she nailed it , Im Still Holding Out For You. Still unbelievable at ten but the voice of a seasoned diva. Yes , 6 year old Angelina took off her favourite sea green boots and gave them to the shoeless orphan she met in the Middle East. She wrote about the incident in her journal (she has written in her journal since she could hold a pen), three years later she was encouraged to write a book about this experience. It was illustrated by her grandmother Mery, titled “Between two hearts”, she became the youngest ever published author in Norway. I purchased the ebook and it brings me to tears every time I read it! She wrote a song about it “Princess of Ruins”, yet unreleased, which she performed at her concert in Las Vegas on 29th February this year. It is truly amazing and well worth a reaction!

At this point she'd won Norway's Got Talent, appeared on nationwide TV in the US, been interviewed on televised talk shows, and performed before live audiences numbering in the thousands. She was already a more successful vocal artist than most singers will ever be. She does her own arrangements, even rewrites songs (Amy Winehouse for instance) to be more age appropriate. Her winnings from NGT, she donated it to charity, by the time she was 12, she helped raise over $21 million Euros for charities. How good is she? Angelina is, simply, the best singer I’ve ever heard. Yes, she has immense talent like Michael, but Angelina covers so many more genres as authentically as you heard today (her own arrangement, by the way). It doesn’t matter what you choose next: any title, any age, any genre. She takes on the best singers singing their best songs, and most times you’ll like Angelina’s version better: Elvis, Adele, Sinatra (Frank and Nancy), Whitney, Patsy, Elton, Queen… And her original songwriting is so personal and heartfelt. I Put a Spell on You is like getting thrown into the deep end of the pool, but it’s a rite of passage for Angelina newbies. Perhaps the best live vocal I’ve ever heard is her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT. She’s 13 for that, and of course it’s her own arrangement.

You need to hear what she does with Adele songs. "A Million Years Ago" at 12, "All I Ask" at barely 15 and "Easy on Me" at 16 allow her to demonstrate her range. And she may just blow your mind when you experience what she and Toby Gad are up to today!

Guys, I've subscribed to your channel just to watch the journey in your Angelina Jordan discovery. I'm seventy years old and have been immersed in music my entire life. I've never been so deeply touched by a singer as I am with Angelina. Of course it's all the tone, texture, skill and musical intellect that she sings with, but it's also the beautiful quiet gentle soul that she is. I've never witnessed a performer like her. Men, you are in for a musical and spiritual treat and I'm here for it. To watch the amazement of music experts, that matches my amazement of Angelina, is fun and gratifying. Just a short note on the "You havent heard anything yet" There are countless reactors with 40-50+ Angelina reactions, and they all say the same at that point - "You think you got a grasp of her voice, talent, style etc but she just keep on surprising you" So with your ears for music, I highly reccomend a deep dive into her catalogue at some point, reaction or not. And don't forget - she's NORWEGIAN!! And that was soul, in English. - Can I suggest that you quickly check out where she started?! She went on "Norway's Got Talent" at Age 7, and won the whole thing! She sang mostly jazz - in ENGLISH - on the show. If you don't want to spend much time on it, there are 2 songs I'd suggest - one is what she sang for the finale - "Summertime". That will show you some of her soul and technique beyond her years. And right after that, they recorded her at an outdoor concert doing, "What a Difference a Day Makes" - I promise you, you won't believe it's and 8-year-old singing! (Many also like to watch her on "The View" singing "Fly Me to the Moon"-also Age 8) Then I would jump to "A Million Years Ago" (Adele) - Age 11 or 12 , and "Stay" (Rihanna). I have always thought of Angelina as a musical savant - someone who just has everything within her brain from birth and given enough growth can draw on all of it. She is one of a kind.

Angelina wrote new lyrics for two famous songs by Amy Winehouse, "Back to Black" and "Rehab" since it was inappropriate for a preteen to sing the original lyrics. For "Back to Black" Angelina wrote the new lyrics in the 24 hours prior to the recording, then needed just two takes.

From the start on Angelina is known for her gift to do the recordings of her songs in one or two takes... And she is heavily involved in any arrangement she sings since the age of 7-8 years. Since a few month she is working with top-songwriter Toby Gad to get more really new songs at her repertoire. The first one of which will be "Bad Valentine" (which you can already watch on RUclips). He has also invited Angelina to sing "If I were a boy", a song written by him and BC Jean back in 2008. That song has two video's on RUclips: a classy version in a church in which Toby Gad is playing the piano. And a different more 'poppy' version, based on the same vocal recording but with other music instruments, filmed and produced by Toby Gad all together. So, no doubt that he believes in her.

This was a tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins original & his picture is on the candle she is holding before she sings. You will find that she only uses what she needs from her musical tool kit for a particular song, so you wont see everything she can do until you've heard her back catalog of about 250 songs from around 9 different music genre. She was 9 years, 2 months when this was recorded, but it wasn't posted until she was 10. Now at 18, most of her fans (Angels) think she is the vocal G.O.A.T. Actually, I think she achieved that at around 14, but that's just my opinion. Her original music is amazing, but what she does with many classic, iconic songs from the history of music by totally re-imagining it to make it even better than the original is mind-blowing. She doesn't do covers, she does upgrades. For example, her 13 yo shortened version of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT-Champions 2 was so amazing, the surviving members of Queen posted it on their site with the comment "Wow, what a rendition." Then they gave her the copyrights to her version of the song. How many times have you heard that about a young teenager. She has been heavily protected by her family & record label for the last decade to allow her to grow up & finish school before she is heavily promoted, but now she is ready. You NEED to watch her Golden Buzzer performance of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT The Champions. It was totally arranged by 13 year old AJ herself and it was so brilliant that the band Queen posted the performance on their page & wrote "WOW what an amazing rendition of Bohemian".
After the show finished Queen did something they had never done to date, they allowed AJ to copyright her version of the song, record & release it. That's not all this 13 year old philanthropist with a heart of gold did❤. She also donated the proceeds of those sales to some charity for underprivileged children.🤯.

Some remarks regarding your intro: she did indeed meet the shoeless girl at 6, and promised her to never forget her. She than later decided as a means for herself to perform barefoot on stage in public to remind herself of her. In her recent Vegas concert, she confirmed that this: "... I will always do that, it's part of my identity". And indeed all of her public performances from age 8 onwards up to now have been done barefeet, with a recent exception: When presenting her new unreleased original at a songwriters showcase event, supporting her co-author Toby Gad. Who was directly invited to present the story of several famous originals he wrote, including a re-imaginen of Beyoncé's If I Were A Boy, which he released a month ago with Angelina singing it. Beware, that there are several videos showing her in a recording booth at allegedly age 6, but where it is very likely that those were only done in spring 2013, when she has been 7 already. And in the most requested videos of those, I Who Have Nothing, she was even early 8, which can be determined by state of her permanent teest compared to dateable TV performances at the time.

Age 10 is a banner year where she really has a sense of her voice and isn’t so mimic driven. Her rooftop version of Everytime We Say Goodbye she stands right next to Ella. Not kidding. And a breakthrough modern tune of the Demo given to her by Baby Fuzz and she nailed it , Im Still Holding Out For You. Still unbelievable at ten but the voice of a seasoned diva. Its a top three for me.
As my relatives in the country would say, she sings "like she's been through some things..." She's a kid singing with a voice that sounds like it's been through 25 years of straight whiskey and unfiltered cigarettes... 😂

Her mom had bought her some nice shoes to wear. At that point, Angelina said she was going to perform barefoot to remember the girl she met, since her singing was bigger than herself. Mom was stressed initially. What 7yo thinks like that ??!! Not just an old soul musically but emotionally as well - heart of gold then and now and I think forever.

Gents, in late Summer of 2014 Miss Angelina Jordan Astar (her full name) was declared, by the people of Norway, THE NATIONAL TREASURE OF NORWAY. This is nothing to sneeze at. From that moment on musicians saw her as a nobel woman. Also it was known that she w a s music. Sche feels music and has an uncanny understanding and instinct for music. Grown pro musicians asked a little girl for advice!!!! She behaved always respectfull and friendly. If Angelina asked to take a deeper or higher key, it was as she said.

Yes , 6 year old Angelina took off her favourite sea green boots and gave them to the shoeless orphan she met in the Middle East. She wrote about the incident in her journal (she has written in her journal since she could hold a pen), three years later she was encouraged to write a book about this experience. It was illustrated by her grandmother Mery, titled “Between two hearts”, she became the youngest ever published author in Norway. I purchased the ebook and it brings me to tears every time I read it! She wrote a song about it “Princess of Ruins”, yet unreleased, which she performed at her concert in Las Vegas on 29th February this year. It is truly amazing and well worth a reaction!

The fact that she's 9 years old here only confirms your "Old Soul" comment. At this point she'd won Norway's Got Talent, appeared on nationwide TV in the US, been interviewed on televised talk shows, and performed before live audiences numbering in the thousands. She was already a more successful vocal artist than most singers will ever be. Today, in addition to having released an album of (mostly) covers and an EP of originals, she's had her first couple of shows in Las Vegas. She signed w/Republic Records at 14 and is now working on an album of originals with Toby Gad.

She does her own arrangements, even rewrites songs (Amy Winehouse for instance) to be more age appropriate. Her winnings from NGT, she donated it to charity, by the time she was 12, she helped raise over $21 million Euros for charities. She does How Great Thou Art in a register as low if not lower than Elvis, when he sang it.

What a fun reaction! We all know how you feel. Norway's Got Talent (4 songs at 7/8) is amazing. Feeling Good (gir tilbake at age 10) is when I stopped saying " for her age". America's Got Talent Champions 2, Bohemian Rhapsody (age 13) is more than amazing! Her EP of originals, "Old Enough" is spectacular. And she really shows us what she can do on her latest song (not yet released but co-songwriter Toby Gad approved on James Thiel's channel) Bad Valentine. How good is she? Angelina is, simply, the best singer I’ve ever heard. Yes, she has immense talent like Michael, but Angelina covers so many more genres as authentically as you heard today (her own arrangement, by the way). It doesn’t matter what you choose next: any title, any age, any genre.
She takes on the best singers singing their best songs, and most times you’ll like Angelina’s version better: Elvis, Adele, Sinatra (Frank and Nancy), Whitney, Patsy, Elton, Queen… And her original songwriting is so personal and heartfelt. I Put a Spell on You is like getting thrown into the deep end of the pool, but it’s a rite of passage for Angelina newbies. Perhaps the best live vocal I’ve ever heard is her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT. She’s 13 for that, and of course it’s her own arrangement.

Guys, I've subscribed to your channel just to watch the journey in your Angelina Jordan discovery. I'm seventy years old and have been immersed in music my entire life. I've never been so deeply touched by a singer as I am with Angelina. Of course it's all the tone, texture, skill and musical intellect that she sings with, but it's also the beautiful quiet gentle soul that she is. I've never witnessed a performer like her.
