- Surf Fishing in the summer is pretty tough! But that's the good season for shark fishing. Unfortunately no sharks caught this time, but it was still fun being out there.
Aquacat bait boat is amazing! That thing can deploy baits pretty quick and pretty far with no trouble going through big waves! It even flipped and flipped back instantly! So cool 😊🚤
My buddy caught a huge stingray that pulled a hell out of fight and was very stubborn as it was laying on the sand and not moving. But with he was able to get it out, unhook it and release it to fight in another day.
The Texas heat was so exhausting, but we made it and I managed to bring home bunch of whitings and had some yummy fish fry 😋
Can't wait for the next outing and hopefully we can land some sharks next time.

The rod used there is the ocean master surf rod. But these are old ones. Pretty tough and good for shark fishing.

I have been looking into the aquacat for deployments and primarily fish Matagorda. I would be very interested in your thoughts and experiences on how it has worked out for you. How it handles the surf and any other feedback you have.
Sorry I missed your message. But Aquacat is awesome. We did use it in rough surf and it handles it very well. Conditions that would be tough for kayaking are now handled by Aquacat. Feel free to google Fisherman ATX and reach out via Instagram for more details 😊
