- 2nd Serpentholm on HARD difficulty. This level only took me a few tries.
The key for this level was to get my base set up on the hill quick enough and a little bit of luck with my rice production.
Note, I saved the level about 3/4 of the way through so at the 51:25 mark it goes from Version 1.57.5 to Version 1.57.6.
At the beginning of the battle, immediately rush north to wolf base and forcefully occupy it, destroy the watch tower near Serpentholm and then build it in the occupied wolf base. It's hard but it can be done. And don't worry about the lack of water, luckily serpent requirement to build a well is just build a stable, so you can get it fast.
I did that as well it was chaotic and fun
Thats a rather bad tactic there is actual chance of reset if you attack the wolf.....because sometimes the dragon at the bottom will attack you and its relentless........
the best 1 is to go to the mid base where otomo is to forcefully make shinja and the necromancer appear then make like 6 swordsman and 4 geisha then wipe out the bottom base dont destroy otomo's base....until the base at the bottom is destroyed....
because the AI will legit become smarter after you destroy 1 of the base's from some odd reason....
they just build a base at your orignal spawn to cancel that
you must not destroy all buildings in otomo's camp or just leave the keep then destroy the bottom dragon camp kill the keep then end the wolf.....
@@MiMi-Elona this is what I do too! I left the keep of otomo as last one to destroy. But not for the AI thing you talked about. I wanna see Kenji or Shinja 1 v 1 otomo just to intensify the plot. I wouldn't be alone when I say that Serpentholm 1 and 2 are legit the best stage of the campaign. Good music and really intense beatdown.

I'm glad that Serpentholm itself is a great location to build your base, with an added height advantage. It's just a matter of keeping your rice field away from enemy ambush.
The OST on this one is definitely one of my favorites in the game
Once, my nephew laughed so hard after seeing kenji wearing that hakama pants because his hips and thighs are exposed. But for me, he looks hot. Although I just prefer his 3 appearances than this one. Tbh, this part is so difficult. I keep on repeating until I managed to survived it.
same way how I enjoy the mission, I create my fortress at the center to avoid getting attacks everywhere lol
Hands down the second most difficult level so far, the struggle of setting up a proper base in time is the real challenge in this level. Loving the uploads dude, keep it up.
Ps: you got very very lucky with the rice lol.
Haha, yes this strategy is heavily dependent on getting lucky with the rice.

@@Emeronitethat is easier than this for me. At least you have time to put up a base there. This mission is the hardest.
This was one the hardest mission tbh. The way i did this was to destroy the dragon base below. I literally left the upper base to die to the wolf lol. The bottom base is the best base due to the rice area and building area you can create. Dragon units are easier to kill and their tower is less annoying compared to the wolf’s. Overall it was easier to defend and create a growing army
I don't think mass Musketeers still work on Zen Edition. What I did was trained bandits until I can take over the Wolf base to the north. From there I build my army (bandits and then raiders when they are enough). After defending the base from attacks, I start to march to the west wolf base. Attack with bandits and burn buildings with raiders while enemies are occupied with bandits (with Kenji and Shinja). Once Wolf is destroyed it gets easier. Also, I leave necro at base for defense - together with other heroes after summoning from Keep.
I amassed a bandit with paralysis dart battle gear and get the poison upgrade and some raiders for anti building unit and geishas with lifesteal battle gear. That's how I beat this mission
According to a data, fan geishas are the strongest female unit of all clan. And I think, the dragon geishas are the weakest female unit. A wolf peasant can even kill her even she's healing her self twice. I'd tried it and got disappointed and at the same time amazed on a wolf peasant.I were the creator, I will give the dragon geishas weapons. Iron umbrella is perfect for them even for piercing and blunt attacks.

The other way is conquering Otomo's base to the west at the start. Then bring Shinjas group to finish the job. While doing that, start building your base there. Otomo's base is light defended at the start so its easy to conquer. From there, the mission becomes so easy like your usual "Make Big Army then Destroy style".
You can even keep the hut to the east alone with another hut on the most east. You have 3 Rice Expo then. The enemies won't see that lonely hut.
I'm surprise you don't even need to defend Serpentholm.
why didn't the ai attack your rice base?
Got lucky, this took me a few playthroughs. Sometimes they will attack the rice field.

@@user-ve6we3rx2o just take the south east base at the start of the game it's much easier to snowball there and u can hide your peasunt huts

Deym i havent get koril or any other heroes. Just shinja and kenj at keep .

This is the hardest mission in all Battle Realms Journey since it is very hard to find a proper base to farm rice.
@@kendivedmakarig215Actually you can build base in the most southern rice field where the dragon build their base too, but sure you have to face them first. But it's worth too early rush them, it going to slow them down
I played allways in easy on this game.
On harder difficulties they will hit our geishas first and leave all other units vulnerable.
This is the most difficult mission from the Serpent path,you have limited space to build and you will be attacked by every sides.
The worst possible scenario is if Otomo uses the dragon attack in our base wich does great damage on the Necromancer and then we have to face full attack from wolf and dragon.
The dragon path is easier.
This game was amazing when i played it a long time ago,best strategy game of all times.
Well actually this campaign is ideal for Dragon because it has the best ending. While the Serpent path has questionable ending of they will all perish eventually from the horde
@@saratoga4126 I never liked to play as Serpent because Kenji just corrupts himself and becomes an asshole.
Bad guy shit is not for me.
@@nunosantos00 at least we know what kind of ruler the Serpent clan is. Kenji is a Machiavellian in Serpent path while he's Confucius something in the Dragon path. This shows two side of him being rebellious against his father's teaching of how to become ruthless to rule their land and being an understanding leader.
I always have geisha autoguard kenji, musketer n cannoner...also alt N the shooter unit to make them stand the ground
