I've begun dreading a new Ren release, in case it doesn't live up to what has become my high expectations...then I'm blown away by yet another amazing track. As a 67 year-old jaded old git from the UK, I had almost given up hoping for interesting new music. Ren has changed all that. So, thanks Ren.
61 yo german woman here. I just love everything about him. His skills like playing the guitar/piano, singing, rapping, texting, beatboxing, acting and telling important stories. His videos always catch me, his dancing/moving around and the catching beats and his messages in the songs that make even grownup men cry. Did I forget something? For sure, because he is a first class allroundtalent. I am a Renegade since the first song I listened to, Hi Ren. And as far as I could see from his posts and interviews, he is a kind man, a good friend to his friends, an honest and caring person. And guys, isn't he handsome, too? I'm 70 years old, and a huge fan. I always thought the musicallity of rap was boring, but never heard a rap artist use their vocal tones as an instrument the way you do. I love the complexity of your music, and your creativity is off the charts inspiring. I make jewelry, and find your creativity to be contagious. I make the best jewelry when listening to your music. Dude, I am 30 in a couple of months. I am a man of this world, and I take pride in being a centered and controlled man because I wasn't always. I haven't found many artists who speak to my soul in years. Man, every song I've listened to of yours has so much heart. "Violet's Tale" made me tear up hard, I hope people can't relate to that song as hard as I did, but I absolutely related and it brought so many memories to the forefront. "Hi Ren" is how I found you, "Sick Boi" is how I knew you understood, and every song that I have listened to since has been nothing but raw heart. So ready for this, excited doesn't cover it. Also thank you Ren for your donation to the RNLI both my dad and my brother volunteer for Moelfre lifeboat so I've grown up with my dad being called out at all hours of the night 24/7 365 days a year. In the old days they didn't have pagers etc we had flare guns and seagulls. The coxswain lived next door to the boat house so he would get a call, he would then rush to the platform area and set of the flares, a group of about 4 or 5 bangs if I remember, then everyone in the village heard it and the crew would be there in under ten mins ready to go. As the years passed I remember my dad getting his first ever pager and being hen fash he hated tech of any kind so teaching him to use it was quite funny, it did however save alot of time. I more than most know how important donations are so thanks again

I'm 65 yrs young. I started listening to The Big Push about 5 months ago. Then I found Ren. I am an old school 70's, 80's fan. But I am always looking for new and unique styles of music. I have never liked rap or hi hop. Couldn't stand them. Then I found Ren. Since then I barely listen to any other music. He has so many different styles.I haven't found any reason to listen to anything else. I usually get bored of listening to a new artist.Not with Ren and The Big Push. It's like I have found the music I have always been looking for. I suffer with chronic anxiety and this music and Ren have helped me deal with life on a different level. Thank You Ren.

@@nathanfausti9213 Yeah, I saw it once and thought it was dope, then caught that it wasn't from Ren's channel and immediately commented on the video and tried to get the message through to the reaction channel that it didn't feel "right" dropping a possibly upcoming track before the artist had the chance to. The reactor is in the industry as well, so I appealed to his sense as an artist, and how would it come across if someone did the same to them? Don't know if my message was ever seen, but the video got taken down the next day voluntarily, but not before being seen 21,000 times. The silver lining is that Ren is SO damn good and his fanbase is so far reaching that I don't think that the 1-day pre-release hurt his numbers (I certainly hope it didn't)

Ha, 6 days does seem a long way off, bit of a tease. Lol. Its a bit like knowing where presents are hidden but you can't reach them or get to them when your a tot. I have to say. 5 minutes before the video dropped I got a knock on my door. It was a hydro guy. The seemingly simple guitar chord repetition, then that bumping grungy beat drops in, and then that melodic vocal repeat - Damn that was great! The other additions in the production added some nice spice also. Gotta admit I couldn’t quite hitting repeat to listen to again and again for an hour straight. @@tommydulaby1 both the scenes of the camera entering and exiting the car are hidden cuts, the first one is very subtle and hard to notice but you can tell by the change of focal lenght and the sudden switch from gibal to handheld, the second one it's more noticeable because of the person in front of the car disappearing and another person and a white car suddently appearing on the right side

Also thank you Ren for your donation to the RNLI both my dad and my brother volunteer for Moelfre lifeboat so I've grown up with my dad being called out at all hours of the night 24/7 365 days a year. In the old days they didn't have pagers etc we had flare guns and seagulls. The coxswain lived next door to the boat house so he would get a call, he would then rush to the platform area and set of the flares, a group of about 4 or 5 bangs if I remember, then everyone in the village heard it and the crew would be there in under ten mins ready to go. As the years passed I remember my dad getting his first ever pager and being hen fash he hated tech of any kind so teaching him to use it was quite funny, it did however save alot of time. I more than most know how important donations are so thanks again

I have never liked rap or hi hop. Couldn't stand them. Then I found Ren. Since then I barely listen to any other music. He has so many different styles.I haven't found any reason to listen to anything else. I usually get bored of listening to a new artist.Not with Ren and The Big Push. @@nathanfausti9213 Yeah, I saw it once and thought it was dope, then caught that it wasn't from Ren's channel and immediately commented on the video and tried to get the message through to the reaction channel that it didn't feel "right" dropping a possibly upcoming track before the artist had the chance to. The reactor is in the industry as well, so I appealed to his sense as an artist, and how would it come across if someone did the same to them?
Don't know if my message was ever seen, but the video got taken down the next day voluntarily, but not before being seen 21,000 times. The silver lining is that Ren is SO damn good and his fanbase is so far reaching that I don't think that the 1-day pre-release hurt his numbers (I certainly hope it didn't)

This is the other thing that seems to set Ren apart from others... he's managed to build a following of the most genuinely amazing human beings! He's created art for people that have struggled, one way or another, and brought them together. I've been to a few concerts over the years and the atmosphere has always been electric, but when I went to see Ren live, the audience was different. The atmosphere was different. The vibe was electric, yes... but it was also such a loving vibe. Everyone I spoke to that day were lovely!

@@definitelynotadj Yes, and Luke Flegg who shot the video confirmed in the comments under Joe E Sparks' reaction that it's not a 1-take (Joe E is a rap videographer and in addition to reacting to the songs, he talks about the video production for the song he's reacting to).
Luke's first comment (which neither confirms nor denies that Murderer is a 1-take) is pinned under Joe E's video, and buried in the replies to that comment Luke comes back and gives an explanation that it is NOT a 1-take.

"Murderer" is a pretty obvious, tongue-in-cheek homage to dub. Also, as opposed to 'Hi Ren' this is just straight battle, a component of hip hop since day. But, maybe a lot of these kids into Ren aren't that savvy about all this jazz - which is fine. Just gotta get clued up.
