lol! I've been there. When I had the pleasure of meeting and briefly learning from Mr. Gottlieb. I was this awesome kid drummer and Futureman of Bella Fleck introduced me as a prodigy drummer. It wasn't five minutes before Gordon had humbled me simply with a shaker. A SHAKER! Lol. But, one of the best things that could've happened to me at that age. Thank you, guru.
had a similar experience :)
Gordon, uma pessoa amável e excelente professor. Boas lembranças de Campos do Jordão (1984). Abraços de Berlim.
Hi Gordon. Long time no see. Rick Rowen, trombonist, Baby Four, Stonegate.
Gordon!!! Long time no see!
@stanfrow
It's from Advanced Snare Studies by Mitch Peters--maybe #13 or #14--I can't remember for sure
I really like this teacher! He's so patient and nice. :D
Please see my JOHN SERRY vid with Gordon Gottlieb on percussion (1979), it's very rare.
(I'm a friend of John Serry).
Cheers from Italy.
Why do they do things like the snare with the finger? Is that the piece or counting? Stuff like that seems so lame
