How does thee N100 in this compare to an i3 from 2014 or 2015? I’m running an old HP desktop for my online radio station. It runs the radio software just fine, but when I do live streaming in Streamyard, it gets very laggy, unresponsive, and the fans spin up to the point where it sounds like something is gunna break. I need to replace it, but am on an extremely tight budget, but I know I can afford some of these that have the N100 or similar. But, if it is going to struggle just as much, then it’s not worth it. I don’t know the exact processor I have now, but I know it’s an i3, and I got it in 2014 or 2015.
N100 should be 50% to 150% faster depending on workload. Plus modern architecture alows it to decode all modern codecs and resolutions with ease. So 4k hdr h265 media will not make it go nuclear, where i3 from 2015 would crumble.
@@oldtwinsna8347 its performance is exactly the same as an i5-7400 65W (well more than 65W at peak load might be more or less 90W) while n100 is only 6W (30-35W peak load) in light load its less than 8-15W. i5-7400 has max boost is 3.5 Ghz vs 3.4 Ghz w/ n100 however iGPU is a lot better, better quick-sync support & uses faster RAM.
Depends on how basic and what software you use. At a minimum I would target a more powerful processor, like the Ryzen 5 5500U. That has double the multicore GPU performance. But in my experience people who at first want "basic" soon want more than that, so a proper computer with GPU is the best recommendation.
With the main OS drive, are all makes of M.2 Nvme's compatible with the Mini S12 pro or is it only recommended to use a certain brand ? Thanks in advance.
The only problem i have with the N100 is it doesn't support 4K on Netflix and everything looks pixelated in full HD on that app. It could be that their files are compressed, just saying.
It's probably a DRM thing, happens the same on "uncommon" phones and tablets...I had it all the time on my Oneplus and Xiaomi devices, just because of DRM issues the videoquality was capped at 480p, maybe something similar happens with the Beelink.
Why do people need more than 1 display or HDMI port on such a device? Probably just cheap to chuck it on. Makes no sense though. I would much rather have an additional NIC instead.
Im buying it specifically because it has two HDMI's. I have 2 TV's in my livingroom, one for watching content, and the other for browsing. My 2nd tv also has my chatbox (Chatterino) to watch the chat of twitch livestreams, that way i can have twitch fullscreened on my 1st monitor.

N100 looks amazing, my complain is being "single channel only" for the memory. Intel nerfed him on purpose to sell the pricier ones.
Nobody seems to have the N200, what's up with that?
Yes, i3 series would be pointless, since N100 would be cheaper, more powerful and power efficient.
