@Mattie Anti To some degree taking drugs before entering a bath is literally the equivalent of setting yourself up. While I don’t believe she was suicidal Whitney made a fatal mistake and we can’t gloss over it!

I agree, this scene was beautiful. No one who does drugs knows when it could be the last time. I don't believe she intentionally wanted to end her life but used the drugs to mask her pain and it ended up getting the best of her

@Mattie Anti Do you know how she felt at that time? what? did you know? have you read up on it? read some sources before commenting, because that makes it look a bit ignorant really. she was at that time. a few days before her death she had threatened and attempted suicide. and since she had a lot of drugs in her blood when she died, it makes everything a little more obvious.
the press destroyed her and we all know that. and it comes across well here. and I feel so sorry for her. she left us far too soon.

when you listen to her Greatest Live Performances album, and it rolls over back to Track 1 after the end … “Didn’t Know My Own Strength” -> back to “Home” from her first television experience… I get very emotional. Sometimes I start the album with DKMOS just for that reason. Whitney and all her spirits are immortal

She was looking back in time. Wish she could go back and do it all right. Wishing she could have that innocence. Regret and sadness sets in and, I think Whitney knew, things would never be like it used to be. Realizing how amazing and grand she was. She knew at this point that people didn’t see her for who she is during her final days, but for who she used to be. She was The Voice, the greatest voice of all time. She had something no one else had. This is true because without God you can gain the whole world, but lose yourself.

People definitely don’t understand the meaning of Biopics. It’s not about looking exactly like the person. It’s about telling a story, the events will be mostly true with a dramatic edge. We don’t know what happened before, during, and after her death because we were not there and supposedly no one else was until it was last to late. It’s a great movie from what I’ve seen!

You feel her heart breaking, the loneliness and disadvantage of what she feels and she must have felt at that moment, we all as her fans, abandoned her! We never did! I still remember the day when the news of her death finally broke out... I really cried my heart out. Actually the day before her death, all I was searching in the net is updates about her... That's the reason I felt devastated hearing the news a day later. Eventhough I live halfway earth away from the U.S., I was there during her final stints in spirit... I remember being excited when she surprisingly sang at the BETs, thinking finally she is slowly returning the old days...even downloaded the video so I can repeat it again and again... And when she showed up at Kelly Price's show, I'm surprised but still hoping for her to recover her voice... I grew up to her music, and even sang Greatest Love of All in school for an activity... I just think it's improper to say that everyone, even her fans, abandoned her... It's just that we don't have enough access to her personal life. But for sure if we knew, we would definitely give her a big hug...

I’m a little annoyed at the suicidal vibe this scene gives but I do think as the years went on she most likely found it triggering having to play the part of being THE Whitney Houston all the time. She died from a cardiac episode that was aggravated by a week long substance binge after waning on and off for like 35 years. However considering how much her issues have been rehashed I can see why they chose this route.

Around the time before she died, she always wanted to "go home" and also wanted to see our christ and savior Jesus who created the heaven and earth more than a thousand years ago, she felt it that her ending was near and no one was surrounding her because they don't understand the pain she suffered behind the fame and success and she also wish to "go back home" which means heaven so she doesn't have to suffer from fame and success anymore because she feel hopeless and no one can help her because they abandoned her even her family, friends and loved ones because they feel that she is their enemy and they didn't hear it she cried inside so she started using drugs when she met Bobby to relieve the pain she suffered until they divorced and she continues using drugs to treat her pain she suffered inside but it's getting worse all time when she taking drugs because her depression getting worse and worse and people didn't see who she is during her final days, they just see her a enemy and then she started abusing drugs and alcohol, she said to her long-time best friend that drugs and alcohol is the only way to relieve the pain she suffered but it's getting worse and worse at all times so she enter rehab twice but it always failed and after, she became addicted to drugs and alcohol and people thinks Bobby giving her drugs and they are happy to each other but "that is wrong" because before she married him, she diagnosed with depression in her teens so she started using drugs and when she get famous, she stopped using drugs and when she married him, she began using drugs because she diagnosed with depression again until they both breakup and diagnosed with depression again and again so she abusing drugs again until she found out she was diagnosed with heart failure and lung damage so she enter rehab again for the last time but it failed but during the filming of "The Bodyguard", she ran to Kevin because she thinks that he is the only person to understand the pain she suffered before she met Kevin and then, he helped her which it they fell in love each other but after the film's success, they never see each other so she diagnosed with depression again and began abusing drugs again because "Kevin was the only man to help her" until she died never knowing the "secret" that Kevin always wanted to be her husband not Bobby and that was the "real reason" why she abusing drugs but after a decade ago, she returns to God by praying that she wants to see Jesus and reading inspirational bible verses about the inspirational word of God like "you are god's masterpiece" and "you are complete in christ" which she was inspired by the lord and savior of the heaven and earth, when she wins music awards every time, first and always first in her life, she giving honor by praising and thanking god for blessing her so and that is also "real reason" why she wanted to "go back home to see Jesus" and around the time her untimely demise, she achieved what she wants to achieve and she "got home" and seeing Jesus all time, she didn't suffer at all because depression didn't win, she wins and she is with our Lord now and the price that she wanted to achieve, she completed her last achievement in her after-life, she completed her mission and in the end, she wins in the final battle with depression and now she is with our Lord now, she completed all, she's The Voice of our generation, the greatest voice of all time, she had anything, Whitney is such a legend. Just saw this on Netflix. I was wondering what the fuss was, because I remember complaints on the film having Whitney in a gay relationship. That was actually the case, but they stopped BEFORE Whitney had her first record deal. The film had that wrong & definitely did that on purpose because of this woke age(which is messed up. That stuff forced into fiction is one thing, but a real person's life, too far).
The film also had Whitney's dad wrong. That scene with him on a hospital bed, that didnt happen.
Anyway, the actress did a great job, I'd say. Too bad they couldnt get that Bobby Brown actor from The New Edition Story, do what Tupac's film did, get the same actor that played Biggie in Biggie's film. I wonder if anyone ever tried to edit all these Singer & Rapper biopics together, all chronologically, because the majority of this film & Bobby Brown's film could fit well. See both sides.
Point is, I remember years ago people thought something was up with Whitney's death. But this aint a Michael Jackson situation. Considering all the times drugs get these celebrities, and a few make it through that mess like Bobby Brown & James Brown, its just unfortunate that drugs got to Whitney, and her daughter.

Interesting in her last moments this would’ve happened! Did Clive have someone in her room to know what she actually was doing? Or could it be she wrote a letter to Clive and described what last song she sang to create this final scene. This would be the reason why his party continued as that could possibly be written in her letter. Makes you wonder that this scene was staged to her final death! Made it look like a suicide, but then in her last moment, was attacked, beaten, then drugged, then placed in the bath. End result.. drowning! Don’t add up, sorry!!! Bad scene to finish up on! Surely everyone can see this and not question it? Or could it be if anyone saw Bobbi Kristina’s movie that they argued and Bobbi was going to leave her mum to go with Nick and Whitney had no one left! Bobbi was everything to her! Losing Bobbi would mean this scene was then suicide! Whitney was at this point at her lowest! Divorced, no daughter, no friends to turn to and even though she spoke to Dionne and her mum, was not enough to stop this sad ending to the most famous woman on earth we all call THE VOICE 🥹

It’s not that terrible compared to the other unofficial films we have gotten. Those were cheap, rushed, and poorly made. It’s about time Whitney has gotten her story told right and honestly, not sensationalizing her drug use and personal issues. Long overdue.

@@kash3620 How was the story told right, when it was poorly written, the details in the movie were off and many events as the movie portrayed, were inaccurate.
