@Mattie Anti To some degree taking drugs before entering a bath is literally the equivalent of setting yourself up. While I don’t believe she was suicidal Whitney made a fatal mistake and we can’t gloss over it!
I agree, this scene was beautiful. No one who does drugs knows when it could be the last time. I don't believe she intentionally wanted to end her life but used the drugs to mask her pain and it ended up getting the best of her
@Mattie Anti Do you know how she felt at that time? what? did you know? have you read up on it? read some sources before commenting, because that makes it look a bit ignorant really. she was at that time. a few days before her death she had threatened and attempted suicide. and since she had a lot of drugs in her blood when she died, it makes everything a little more obvious. the press destroyed her and we all know that. and it comes across well here. and I feel so sorry for her. she left us far too soon.
when she sings "I wish I was home, I wish I was back there", I can feel it: a feeling not of a literal and material house, but of past times when everything was easier
when you listen to her Greatest Live Performances album, and it rolls over back to Track 1 after the end … “Didn’t Know My Own Strength” -> back to “Home” from her first television experience… I get very emotional. Sometimes I start the album with DKMOS just for that reason. Whitney and all her spirits are immortal
She was looking back in time. Wish she could go back and do it all right. Wishing she could have that innocence. Regret and sadness sets in and, I think Whitney knew, things would never be like it used to be. Realizing how amazing and grand she was. She knew at this point that people didn’t see her for who she is during her final days, but for who she used to be. She was The Voice, the greatest voice of all time. She had something no one else had. This is true because without God you can gain the whole world, but lose yourself.

People definitely don’t understand the meaning of Biopics. It’s not about looking exactly like the person. It’s about telling a story, the events will be mostly true with a dramatic edge. We don’t know what happened before, during, and after her death because we were not there and supposedly no one else was until it was last to late. It’s a great movie from what I’ve seen!
I’ve dealt with drug abuse for a while now…. This scene made me cry so much I know how hard it is to choose to be drugged vs sober, it’s such a hard process for anyone and I can’t believe to imagine the pressure Ms Whitney dealt with 😢
This scene 🎬 brought me to tears 😭 like 👍 she’s inside your home with you, singing home! You feel her heart breaking, the loneliness and disadvantage of what she feels and she must have felt at that moment, we all as her fans, abandoned her! We never did! As far as I am concerned, when she was at her lowest she still was and is better than the rest of them and god bless ❤
I still remember the day when the news of her death finally broke out... I really cried my heart out. Actually the day before her death, all I was searching in the net is updates about her... That's the reason I felt devastated hearing the news a day later. Eventhough I live halfway earth away from the U.S., I was there during her final stints in spirit... I remember being excited when she surprisingly sang at the BETs, thinking finally she is slowly returning the old days...even downloaded the video so I can repeat it again and again... And when she showed up at Kelly Price's show, I'm surprised but still hoping for her to recover her voice... I grew up to her music, and even sang Greatest Love of All in school for an activity... I just think it's improper to say that everyone, even her fans, abandoned her... It's just that we don't have enough access to her personal life. But for sure if we knew, we would definitely give her a big hug...
This scene broke me. It hurts like crazy to hear from ppl your voice ain't what it used to be. "You ain't got it no more" and to actually sit and deal with that is a very heartbreaking thing. This scene captured it perfectly for me. The actress did an amazing job.

However considering how much her issues have been rehashed I can see why they chose this route.

Just saw this on Netflix. I was wondering what the fuss was, because I remember complaints on the film having Whitney in a gay relationship. That was actually the case, but they stopped BEFORE Whitney had her first record deal. The film had that wrong & definitely did that on purpose because of this woke age(which is messed up. That stuff forced into fiction is one thing, but a real person's life, too far). The film also had Whitney's dad wrong. That scene with him on a hospital bed, that didnt happen. Anyway, the actress did a great job, I'd say. Too bad they couldnt get that Bobby Brown actor from The New Edition Story, do what Tupac's film did, get the same actor that played Biggie in Biggie's film. I wonder if anyone ever tried to edit all these Singer & Rapper biopics together, all chronologically, because the majority of this film & Bobby Brown's film could fit well. See both sides. Point is, I remember years ago people thought something was up with Whitney's death. But this aint a Michael Jackson situation. Considering all the times drugs get these celebrities, and a few make it through that mess like Bobby Brown & James Brown, its just unfortunate that drugs got to Whitney, and her daughter.

Interesting in her last moments this would’ve happened! Did Clive have someone in her room to know what she actually was doing? Or could it be she wrote a letter to Clive and described what last song she sang to create this final scene. This would be the reason why his party continued as that could possibly be written in her letter. Makes you wonder that this scene was staged to her final death! Made it look like a suicide, but then in her last moment, was attacked, beaten, then drugged, then placed in the bath. End result.. drowning! Don’t add up, sorry!!! Bad scene to finish up on! Surely everyone can see this and not question it? Or could it be if anyone saw Bobbi Kristina’s movie that they argued and Bobbi was going to leave her mum to go with Nick and Whitney had no one left! Bobbi was everything to her! Losing Bobbi would mean this scene was then suicide! Whitney was at this point at her lowest! Divorced, no daughter, no friends to turn to and even though she spoke to Dionne and her mum, was not enough to stop this sad ending to the most famous woman on earth we all call THE VOICE 🥹
This movie was so ridiculous and made up. She looked nothing like Whitney, how they know what she was singing if no one was there in bathroom. So many scenes didn't make sense. They could've saved this for lifetime like the rest. I thought it was brandy story from the look
Agreed! This film was poorly written and certainly not worth a theatrical release. As a Whitney fan I’m embarrassed by the sloppy projects the keep releasing. They have got to do better. Naomi was terrible choice. I didn’t get Whitney vibes from her at all.
@@robtheipad8315 Her estate is the worst ever. It actually reminds me of the fact of why Whitney was so poorly represented in her last days. Poor management and staff around her. This also proves Clive cared nothing about her. Not to mention. Anyone can say what they want to about her father and his alleged stealing. But when he was her manager. She was on top of being the best. She did South Africa in 94, Welcome Home Heros, Star Spangled Banner, Best Concerts with Bodyguard, Moment of Truth, etc. Pat Houston is awful
It’s not that terrible compared to the other unofficial films we have gotten. Those were cheap, rushed, and poorly made. It’s about time Whitney has gotten her story told right and honestly, not sensationalizing her drug use and personal issues. Long overdue.

@@I-AM-BELIEVER i agree!
It’s not that terrible compared to the other unofficial films we have gotten. Those were cheap, rushed, and poorly made. It’s about time Whitney has gotten her story told right and honestly, not sensationalizing her drug use and personal issues. Long overdue.
@@kash3620 How was the story told right, when it was poorly written, the details in the movie were off and many events as the movie portrayed, were inaccurate.
Come on. We want to see a floating body.
