Im so glad criterion finally gave this car the performance it deserves. It is the arguably the best porsche in real life and in this game. Even in MW2012 the car was good. In heat it was slow. Why? because it was ghost and the only thing that they loved was that Old Ancient RSR

And bottom line the thing got smoked by all of the meta cars and it ain't even close. if you had beaten one of the meta cars with the 918 in heat, the driver you were facing are not good at all Or Their car was not maxed. End of story, the car still gets toasted in heat by those F40's Pagani's RSR's F1's Evo's, Miata, hakosuka skyline, ETC..."You was building it wrong" like bruh

The top speed acceleration from 200-230 is so awful and its what made it slow in heat. It just seemed like it stopped accelerating. the 918 is an acceleration MONSTER. I would have put a centrifugal or a dual turbo on it to get more boost on the top end because the low end is so fast.

I dont know why, but the weird shifting sounds are not present in online, at least in ISAD's videos. If you think that im schizophrenic and dont know what im talking about, in single player, there are these weird ripple sounds as you go through the rev range and when the gears shift, there is a low frequency bass sound that makes it sound like every car has a manual gearbox. Its not a huge deal, but it just feels weird to hear a porsche 911 for example shift much slower than it actually does.
The fact that one simple crash led to a car from 1100 yards reach 500 yards in the matter of seconds, show that making tiny mistake can lead to a big ass change. I hope the parents of the K-pop band understands how it feels to not wear protection when having *that* course

Regera is the new RSR. Only car I own that runs with the Golf in S+ is the Pista. About to try either the Porsche 918, McLaren F1, or Vulcan. Seems like these are the contenders for the 2 spot along with the new Countach.

The car has great handling and grip but it lacks Top Speed acceleration. Its gearing ratio is also weird. It reaches Vmax in 5th gear and shifting into 6th doesnt help at all... I like it, but I can run circles around if in my RSR, M3 GTR, Pista and Golf GTI.

Better in the sense that it handles bumps better. The F40 can be very unstable over uneven surfaces.

Yes you can, just launch your car at the correct RPM shown. You can launch even faster in manual.
