I then borrowed the book from him every time he was done reading and finished it the night of the same day. Then, every morning on the way to school, we’d talk and theorize about what could happen next, but urasawa still surprised us every time. We then waited for our local bookstore to stock up on manga and read the final two books in English because they didn’t have them in German. I have lots of fond memories reading this manga and discovered the whole world of urasawas books shortly after.

when the hole world needs them, they always there.
+1
This song has got me through a lot. Thanks for uploading it, friend. 💜💜
0:23 It's getting dark and I can smell curry from somewhere
I wonder how long I have to walk to reach home
My favorite butcher's croquette
Will you wait for me with the same taste as usual?
Night comes over the earth; now I'm hurrying home
1:15 If you say that the demon will laugh when you talk about next year
As much as I want to laugh, just make me laugh
I'll keep saying 5 years, 10 years ahead
Even after 50 years, I'll still be with you like this
Night comes over the earth; now I'm hurrying home
2:07 Even if it rains, even if a storm comes, even if spears fall
Let's all go home, don't disturb
no one has the right to stop
3:02 Night comes over the earth; now I'm hurrying home
Night comes around the world, the world rushes home
Every day like that is around you
May it continue forever
Been listening to this for the past month, I'm addicted.

I haven't read this manga in years and all of a sudden the algorithm wants to bring me back
Spoilers....
I just loved the fact that even "Friend" wanted to hear this song from kenji while he was dying.... Even "Friend" loved this song.
"When you hear a man singing a song , dont shoot him"
Truly a masterpiece ، one of my top three mangas.
Yah it’s a great piece of work. My only issue is kiriko. Seemed like a wasted character and was honestly portrayed as a real naïve piece of crap
Yes its music that made katsumata kun not kill himself, so it was fitting for him to listen to music when we was dying.
@@SoDaoudi it wasnt just any kind of music , it was the song of his rival , his biggest enemy..
If you ask me , the moral of this was proving the power of art , how art can make you even want to listen to the song of your biggest enemy.
well the guta lala suda lala melody was originally made up by Katsumata or "second" Friend (the copy of the copy) ;) Kenji added the rest if the lyrics, so Katsumata basically wanted to hear his and kenjis song once again before he dies
Timeless masterpiece.

Great song. The movies burnt it into my mind and now im going to tackle the manga series
For the four-and-some minutes that this song played...

"The fences and gates were torn down by the ravenous crowd. And before you knew it, it was a free concert if you really go for it."
-Kenji
And more than 500,000 people have at least listened to this song.
Ijust finish to see the last movie , i LOOOOOVE , i can't forget this movie, the acto,THIS MUSIC ! (sorry for my bad english) if a people reed this message =p Kiss from France
Im here in 2018 for Endo Kenji. 20th Century Boys Awesome movie, thanks Urasawa-Sensei
Bro change yourself
The manga is definitely better than the movie!!
The movie is still a good adaptation, fot after you read the manga.
The very, very final reveal is definitely better in the movie. In the manga it just made me open up Google.
Yea the ending of the movie was better
Both van be better
@@LegendaryPiledriver the ending of the movie is the alternative ending of the manga.
I even shed a tear here...
20th Century Boys had the best characters at all time
Memories .. Damn memories ..

Reading the manga was like watching a movie!! thanks Urasawa
