Great video! I have the same machine and I love mine to. I am however having trouble with the tension on the conveyor belt. It always drifts to the left. I have to recenter it after about 15 passes no mater what wood im running or what speed im running it at. Any ideas on how to fix this? I can't find anything that address the tension in depth.
Make small adjustments. It's kinda finicky, seems to alwase move one way or the other and takes time to dial in. Even when it's dialed it it will drift over time. I use about a quarter of a turn at a time on the small adjustmen wrenches.
Good video! Any idea how to adjust the feed belt. No matter the tensions of those little wrenches and having one side much tighter then the other, after run at around #3, after 10 minutes it has drifted to the inside. So I have to shut it off, loosen those wrenches, pull the sandpaper feed belt all the way up to outside, tighten those wrenches...and have to do it all again in 10 minutes. Any ideas? Thanks :)
I have the same problem. I just keep an eye on it and give the little wrench a quarter turn as needed. A lot of time it'll stay running true. My best advice is make small adjustments, that's what seems to work best for me anyway.
For just general sanding I use 120 grit. But will use 60 and 80 when I need to. It depends on the application at the time. But 120 seems to be a good go to.
Thanks for the video. I have a quick question. Once you have the infeed/outfeed tables flush with the belt do you have to readjust them if you fold them down?
Great video! Question - What is the overall length/how far would this stick out from having the motor up against the wall? I have a small shop and am wondering if this is too large or not. Thanks!
36" inches with the moter against the wall. Mine is on casters so I just roll it out when I need it. Sorry it took me so long to answer. I work out of town for a month at a time, and had to get home to measure so I could answer your inquiry.
Hey been several months now, wondering what your thoughts on this tool is now that you have had months to work with it. I am considering this and its counter part 16/32 Jet pricing is comparable so I am not just looking at which might be the best made. Your thoughts?
I absolutely love it. Easy paper change and accurate. I also looked at the Jet but the build quality wasn't up to the standard of the Supermax. Plus the Supermax comes with a DRO, and a quick set. All in all am very pleased with it. I would suggest getting the in feed and out feed tables because the belt that pulls the material through the machine is quite grabby. I'm sorry for the delay in videos, I work out of town for months at a time sometimes, gotta make bill's somehow, RUclips isn't paying, lol. Thanks for watching, and thanks for your sub.
Your opinion matches what I thought, but I like to seek out others because I am only right 40% of the time :D I have read a lot lately on RUclipsrs having problems with the search algorithms RUclips is now using. Most have to supplement their income with other methods even the RUclipsrs with 500k subs are having issues. Best of Luck and thanks, BTW your opinion match 5 other woodworkers as well!!! thought you might like to know that as well.
Great video! Quick question... are you pleased with your 16-32 after several months or do wish that you had selected the 19-38? Please keep up the great work! Cheers
Yes, I am very pleased with the 16-32. It is perfect for my shop size. Of course I wish I could have gotten the 19-38 because bigger is alwase better. That being said, I personally havent needed it. Thank you for your comment. I do intend on doing a review on this at some point.
@@BlackDogWoodwork I'm picking up a used one Monday looks like its never been used for $850 with the in and out feed tables and a bunch of paper. I very excited about it.
@@renobtankit6019 you wont regret it. Just a suggestion, itll need some tweaking to get the table parallel with the head, so look for the owners manual online, you'll need it, it's a bit finicky. Good luck and a great buy.
Just got mine a couple of months ago. Had to do a little tweaking, but run great. I really like the rapid elevation adjustment.
Pro Tip: When leveling in/outfeed tables, use a magnetic box level to hold the tables in place so you just need to tighten the screws down. SHABAM.
I did buy one , 1 July 2020.. but to be honest, takes more setting up , just be onist, not hard

HELLO WHICH IS BETTER LAGUNA OR JET?ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH LAGUNA? GOOD DAY
I looked at the Jet and honestly haven't noticed much difference between the tool. The Laguna seems to have a bit better build quality.
After do a wide board that you have to turn around, do you have to move the lever back up for single pass?
Yes
What grit paper do you usually keep in it? I just bought one and the 80 grit that came with it seems pretty rough. Thanks.

dammit another great tool i have to buy !!!!
Thanks for the video. I have a quick question. Once you have the infeed/outfeed tables flush with the belt do you have to readjust them if you fold them down?
You do not. Once they are properly adjusted (a little bit of a PIA) they can be folded down and back up and do not need to be readjusted.
No need
How long have you had it now? I'm looking to add it to my shop.
trying to learn something is im possible with your video I have a radio I need info
Hello! Thank you for the instructive video! I'm considering buying the same. After two years of use, would you still recommend it?
I would. It's a great tool to have.
If you only had money to buy one which one would you buy; planer or drum sander
Planer.
Planer
planer, hands down.

nice music...
Just go by the thousands on the dro. Eg. 3/16 is .185 not .195 as illustrated in your video. Good luck. 👍
Those numbers are just getting the rollers square to the table, it all depends on the material being used.

5 WEEKS!?!?
Did you attach the dust collector to it or are you going to?
Yes. I have a 4 inch hose that is a quick connect, it also doubles as my clean up hose, and my router table hose.
Thanks for the vid, this sander is at the top of my list so far how do you like it after having it for about a year? would you buy it again? tnhaks
I like it alot. It's made a great addition to the shop. Yes I would buy it again. I'm considering giving it a review soon.
