These are great. I think edited tournaments like the way they used to be is the way I like to watch them the most. I love to go back and watch the old tournaments in this format and I hope Bassmaster continues to do them like this going forward for fans like me. Awesome!
Love these edited versions like they used to be. I grew up watching Bob Cobb on TNN back when you had to be sitting in front of the tv when your program came on. My brother and i didnt have any water around the house so we would pretend the picknick table was a bass boat and tie our rods to a log. We would play out what we watched on bassmasters on saturday mornings. I still have the fire for tournements to this day!
I'm from the UK and love fishing. Never fished for bass but so good to watch. The excitement of catching never leaves, especially during a tournament aswel!!! Tight lines 👍
Man it's about time been missing these videos for sure. Glad to watch something new watched all the other ones a thousand times. Yeah Yeah. Bring it back can't wait for the next one. Late.
Really enjoyed seeing this format again. My only question is I feel like the older versions of these (2013-2017) did more building of a storyline using the first 3 days over the first 15-20 mins and then split the remaining 20-30 mins on day 4. Curious what the catalyst was for the change in allocation of time as day 4 only made up the last 10 minutes at best.
Having more cameras on the first few days of tournaments with a lot more footage. This tournament ended with 86 pounds, 55 was leading after the first two days. A lot of action happened in the first two days that we would’ve left out for a tougher final day in comparison. Just an example. Will never be exactly like it was pre-live (06-14).
I'm only 1 year into local pond hopping for bass...I've never watched these tournaments my question I can they use nets to land the fish??..and do those fish they show off get put back in water??..thanks
No nets at the pro level of Bassmaster. Yes, the fish return to the water after weigh-in’s. They are kept alive in livewells full of circulating water.
How does Bassmaster have less subs than some influencers? These anglers would not be fishing for their own money if Bassmaster stepped up its monetization on youtube.
Well Jacob there are a lot of factors. We have a thriving website where the majority of video was located for years until 2019/2020 when we began to put an importance and emphasis on RUclips. YT had only been a storage dump place for the longest time. So we were late to YT than individuals. You are also quite unaware of how monetization works on YT as subscribers don’t get you paid, watch time and views w/ads do. We have been growing exponentially since making the effort on YT as the social world changes and grows. Easy to say in hindsight but in the moment our website was exactly what we wanted/needed in that era of time.
I love having bassmaster live and I love having the show. Having both is even better! Thanks BASS!

Yes!
well said definitely my favorite type of fishing media to consume as well
Yeah because showing them live they're staring at the plasma TV on the boat telling them where the fish are.
Nice show bassmaster please continue posting these kind of shows.
I’m so glad these are back! More in this format, please!
Keep em coming! These are great

These Elite series shows, commentary, and recap are still the best. Favorite fishing content to watch. Do miss Zona in the studio though

AWESOME COVERAGE GUY!!
Gotta luv good ole fashioned bass fishing tourney coverage like the days of Mark Zona and Tommy Sanders!
For those of you that don't know, a sacalait is the cajun term for a crappie
Thank you this is why I came to the comments

Thanks for taking time to reply. I can understand that and again, happy to see this format return!
This is the one lake I want to fish so bad . I live in Ga and get a boat in a couple weeks . I’m making it down there next year
Damn all the Biggin's being caught there, almost makes me want to move out that way and get a boat. Lol
Is it weird that I remember legendary Bassmaster Roland Martin for the Rocket Fishing Rod commercial?
Great fisherman best in the world, but I wish there was one other guy that would go to your series that be Blat
How are you liking that monthly bill? Things sure have changed!💯❤️🙏❤️🙏🤳
Scott Martin is sponsored by Eagle Claw I freaking love eagle claw
Yep eagle claw makes good hooks, but very affordable
I miss the good old days with Zona
My dream job
Don’t love the cheesy music but nice to have these back.
Brandon Cobb went to the piggly wiggly!

@@BassmasterOfficial cool man that's awesome..so far in my 1st year of bassin my pb is 7lb...at bobby hicks Park in tampa..thanks!!
I have found the JomezPro of yet another niche sport. I have found a new hobby to obsess over.
👍👍👍
Big tournaments are the reason it’s so hard to catch decent fish these days. Too much pressure.
What brand of bibs does Brandon Cobb have on?
BuckNBass
Hearin Tommy chuckle at sum unknown thing is why i watch Bassmaster. But where Zona
what month was this??
Feb 2023
Hello from the UK. Why don’t you use landing nets? When there’s so much money at stake, why risk losing a fish at the boat? Thanks.
No nets allowed for Elite Series. Another way of making them test themselves and their skill at fishing, hooking and landing bass.

Ok so young guns with the livescope... 🤢 And true fishermen with the knowledge. 👏
These bass fisherman crack me up. Drive 80 mph to catch a 2lb bass😂😂
Losers commenting on the bassmaster RUclips page crack me up.. took 5 months but you got your reply.. loooooooser
Elyssa Flat
Finally. This is the only way to showcase tournaments. Anything else sucks
Wouldn’t go that far, but enjoy the free content!
How can anyone support watching this garbage where the fisherman are watching a TV screen on their boat telling them where the fish are?
BORING, BAN FSS in tournaments
