Definitely stable! As far as the wetness goes, I didn't notice too terribly much difference between the '19 and the previous design Outback, maybe a bit more spray off the bow when coming through swell. The new model is significantly quieter on the water, it cuts instead of chopping, with that in mind I'd say the trade off of stability + quieter & smoother ride is well worth the trade off for the occasional spray.
i have two 2014 Outbacks - the older hull is absolutely awesome in rough and offshore conditions...IMO better than the newer hull version
