Ah, a technique that I don't have to practice for. It comes naturally, without effort and not on purpose. I do have a standard arched bridge although when I purchased this old violin it had a very flattened bridge that made single string selection almost impossible for a noob like me. So, I still drone from time to time, normally during string crossings, but as time goes on I'm hoping to be able to make the drone when I want to and not as an accident. Thanks for the technique information as always Lauren, great video and explanation.

That's the trick - making it happen when you actually want it to, haha. Good luck!!

Have you posted a video on how to practice? If not would like to see one. I wish someone had taught me that when I was first starting to play.
