Can’t be overstated how weak our bench looks after the starting lineup announcement
The Lakers have more youth and unproven talent on the team than when LeBron first came to L.A. it's time to see what the young bucks got and with the staggered minutes the 2nd unit won't look as bad as you think maybe at times but by the all-star break the bench will be fine maybe not championship ready but experience is the best teacher

Vando is a matchup or injury starter. Rui is a starter. Max is a 2 guard not a 3. Rebounds are a must.
If Gabe Vincent can play like how he played in Miami then he should be the starting SG because he's a better defender than DLO and Austin and that offensively he doesn't need to do much out there. The starting lineup would look like with Jarred Vanderbilt injured DLO, Vincent, Rui, Lebron, AD with Austin as 6 man. It's a good mix of offense and defense.

That interview, which i did like, is the Lakers way of getting ahead of the drama. It's kind of a way of softening the media before the actual media day. We know the questions palinka is about to face.

To what Daniel said as far as depth, of course if AD or Bron get hurt it’s gonna be hard to replace them. What team out there can truly replace their best and/or 2nd best player if they get hurt? You could probably fix some of the bench depth by inserting Max into starting lineup for 20 or so minutes a game. That’s what preseason is for, to experiment a bit.

I pushed bringing D’Lo or AR off the Bench the entire Offseason however, D’Lo/AR/Rui/LBJ/AD is Our Best Group and JJ is gone show His value as a Coach by Maximizing the Full Potential of the 1st Group while, Developing that 2nd Group and finding the Right Rotations within His Movement Offense and hopefully a Hard Playing/Working Defense!!!
Ideally this Offensive Minded 1st Group can give US 15-20 Points and a Nice Lead by the time Our 1st Bench Player comes in @ the 6ish Minute Mark of the 1st Quarter.

I suspect this team is deeper than a lot of people might think. Remember, Darvin Ham had a reputation for leaving talented players on the bench too long or not putting them in the game at all. Max Christy was one of those types of players. Let's hope the LAkers can learn from past mistakes.

Crazy to think Jared Vanderbilt has only really played half a season for us total for as much as we talk about him. We don’t even know what a full season of Vando looks like. He was constantly hurt when we got him and is why he was bounced around. We need to trade him while his value is as high as it will probably ever be. He is just fragile
Many I'm a dreamer, but I always believe in the kids, underdogs, and supposedly weak roster till they prove they are not up for it. I believe that the ineptitude of past benches were more tactical than ability. Give Pelinka a break. Let's see what Reddick does with this team first.

He wanted more money. This is according to him. When he didn't get it he took another offer that he felt gave him more opportunity and put him more in control. His main gig now is "working" for Los Angeles Lakers Network, and he says they want to be a competitor of LakersNation. He also has his own "personal" channel called "The SportsHeadlines Show." He said between his job working at a high school, running his personal channel, and the hours put in for LakersNation he essentially needed to be compensated more for his work at LakersNation, or it "made no sense" to continue. He didn't say how much money he asked for in negotiations but said "It wasn't outrageous like $20,000 a month or something." And so he's gone.

He suggested the only reason he agreed to his duties at LN was because when he accepted more work he considered it a promotion but he was getting by during the season on a few hours sleep some nights. He says this new Lakers Channel...though he works for someone...is his to do as he pleases with. "Complete creative and content control." He's his own boss. He also kind of took a sideways swipe at Trevor saying "That's another thing. Trevor doesn't own LakersNation, he's JUST the face of it." I guess suggesting Trevor is simply an employee while he...Sean...is now something a bit more. And so it goes....

The Lakers have to be more than a play in team for AD to be considered an MVP candidate.
We have plenty of guards and wings on our roster. JJ has to mix and match them well because most are not 2 way players. We are thin at the big positions.
