Max has been suprisingly good the past few games. Makes me proud of him as a Laker fan. His defensive tenacity and shooting has been outstanding. He's had his moments of sloppy passing, but the effort is there. Also Dalton shooting 46/35/80 on 10ppg as a rooke is a huge benefit to the Lakers too.

If this was 5 years ago, without question, but not today. For a single playoff series it’s possible he could now, but not the regular season
It's a process when you add new players. Beating Atlanta was huge bcuz not only is it a team we suppose to beat but it's fast-paced team that wanted to kill us in transition but we didn't get frustrated and quit. You can see very body is bought in now
I think to get out of the West the Lakers are gonna need someone that can guard Shai/Luka/Murray/Ja and also keep defenses honest on offense from 3. If that’s Max, or if Vando gets healthy, or if they make a trade for a 3 and D guard, then I think they can really compete with anyone in the West.

The Lakers have a starting PG that wouldn't be starting for any other team in the league, at least not 28 of them. As long as that is the case, they will not reach greatness. Bench isn't strong enough, and defense isn't consistent enough. Hell, the offense doesn't even have enough fire power, which I guess is in part so to their bench. They are relying too much on a 40 years old as their best player because of the guy who is supposed to be their best player isn't that on a consistent enough basis. They are only an average three point shooting team which isn't good enough to be great in today's NBA. They are good. They may be very good later in the season. But they will not be great with the current roster...

This team will not be legit until they decide to move on from AD. AD has shown, on multiple occasions, that he is not a dependable star-level player. He has, several times, turned into a role-player sitting clutch time to end games. He will also turn into a role player for entire games for at least one, if not two, games during a playoff series. The lakers made a mistake by making the AD trade. Giving away Lonzo, BI, Josh Hart, and essentially 4 first rounders (Hunter, who is playing great in Atlanta, being one of them).
Also, the lakers made the decision to trade away Zubac, who played at an elite level against GSW on XMAS, and has played well as the starting center for LAC. LAL decided to not resign AC. This team would be much better with no AD. With AC, Zubac, Hart, Ingram, Lonzo, Hunter (and whoever they would have drafted with their other picks). LAL sold their assets on AD and he has shown to not be worth it. Even during the championship year, there were several games where Rondo was the Lakers second best player, not AD. AD was also underwhelming in the finals. The team would be wise to trade AD.
Every time that makes it into the post season has the chance to make it to the championship and win. It takes heart and good play. Really getting tired of these so called laker pages saying they don’t have a chance to compete.
I think Max and AR both took a big step in the last few weeks and with the trade suddenly between max, cam, and DFS we have strong perimeter defense.

They are Great in flopping and staying in the backcourt to complain to the referees and not play D, also they are Great in showing no effort

This team will not be legit until they decide to move on from AD. AD has shown, on multiple occasions, that he is not a dependable star-level player. He has, several times, turned into a role-player sitting clutch time to end games. He will also turn into a role player for entire games for at least one, if not two, games during a playoff series. The lakers made a mistake by making the AD trade. Giving away Lonzo, BI, Josh Hart, and essentially 4 first rounders (Hunter, who is playing great in Atlanta, being one of them).
Also, the lakers made the decision to trade away Zubac, who played at an elite level against GSW on XMAS, and has played well as the starting center for LAC. LAL decided to not resign AC.
This team would be much better with no AD. With AC, Zubac, Hart, Ingram, Lonzo, Hunter (and whoever they would have drafted with their other picks). LAL sold their assets on AD and he has shown to not be worth it. Even during the championship year, there were several games where Rondo was the Lakers second best player, not AD. AD was also underwhelming in the finals.
The team would be wise to trade AD.
Every time that makes it into the post season has the chance to make it to the championship and win. It takes heart and good play. Really getting tired of these so called laker pages saying they don’t have a chance to compete.
