There aren't any minutes for all those bigs. And they are also never playing. And Trevor never once replied or even thought about it. And now he was like oh yeah that is the key. Oh right DG and KCP. Oh Caruso. Yeah. Oh. That is the key. Lol Guy had just finished show 50 in a row talking about we need a big. They got 5 centers and 5 power forwards on the payroll and LBJ and AD are taking 80 of the 96 minutes available in the playoffs. What the hell do we got all those guys for? Lol. My only issue with Trevor is that the show has often pushed for the wrong things and hurt more than it helped. What? Ever changed position in your sport? No? Then what is he talking about? He gets his opinion from the majority opinion on X mixed with the opinions of journalists he follows. That's a recipe for disaster. Discussing the Lakers is one thing. Talking utter nonsense is another. THT has so much more upside than Caruso was the worst take ever. Rondo is done was fun, too. He only dribbles the air out of the ball. So he does his job then? Need to stretch and waive Westbrook was also mind bogglingly insane. That turned into the current roster instead. Trevor made a show about why having dead 17M on the books for 3 years would be better than having Westbrook around. That was beyond disgusting. Lately it was trade everyone for Dejounte Murray of all people, while OGA and Caruso were basically on the market. We saw about 10 world class wings being moved and the Lakers were talking about Tyus Jones vs. Dejounte Murray instead. The Celtics couldn't have given Lakers Nation a better script to hurt the team. How do we fix that? Max Christie will grow into it? Really? We going to teach Rui defense? Doubtful. Vando will learn to shoot? Yeah right. Who cares if Hayes plays 8 minutes or Koloko? That will make no difference. The entire channel has been talking about it like LeBron will play SF again. He won't. And Wood is probably still the better choice as a backup big despite being the smallest and worst athlete of them all, because 2/3rds of the NBA close out games playing small ball with big 3&D wings an high usage guards. Everyone is acting like we only have to take out Denver. Boston and NY are serious problems. Without perimeter defense half the west can beat us on any given night. That's also a problem. He's an average defender, in isolation. But, as Timpf/Trevor said, bad at awareness/tracking on defense. Awareness can be improved with practice/effort. Unfortunately, the nimbleness/agility needed to navigate picks/screens, is going to be a continued weakness for Rui.

Best Pod CrossOver
Been tuning in to Timpf for a good minute, and he's always been a great listen. Happy to see him featured on Lakers Nation. Great analytical mind for basketball. Would love to see more collabs in the future. I'm also one of those who are more optimistic about the Lakers outlook.
That said, for all of Rui's defensive deficiencies, he's not a "bad" defender. He's an average defender, in isolation. But, as Timpf/Trevor said, bad at awareness/tracking on defense. Awareness can be improved with practice/effort. Unfortunately, the nimbleness/agility needed to navigate picks/screens, is going to be a continued weakness for Rui.
The collab all Laker fans have been waiting for lol. Let's Go!!!!!
Love Jason @ Hoops Tonight. The best calab!!
Combining my 2 fav basketball shows
