Great video, thanks for posting. The instructions that came with the hitch have photos that are so dark it’s difficult to see what the installer is actually doing.
On the Q5, no trimming is necessary. When it's installed on the Porsche Macan, the fascia will need to be trimmed. No template is included, but you can check out the install instructions using the link below: www.etrailer.com/instructions.aspx?pn=C13136 www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/CURT/C13136.html
What's going on at 4:35? I have no clearance to spin my left spacer around, and it seems like the instructor didn't either. I came to this video to see if I was missing something, but there was a convenient jump cut! Explanation please? Is the second (left) spacer not supposed to turn 180 degrees, or is it?
Usually, these spacers will just take some wiggling to get it to seat in the correct location. You just want the bolt in the center of the opening. It does not matter where the spacer is because it will span the whole either way. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/CURT/C13136.html
@@MrRoverpilot Unfortunately we don't have a video showing it but we do have the wiring that fits the 2014 Q5. Of the options I recommend the Curt www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/Curt/C56404.html because it's the easiest to install. It plugs into existing connectors in the Audi's read cargo area behind the trim panels. If you go to the product page there's a link to the instructions that you might find helpful. -Chuck S
Good afternoon! Could you please tell me the number of the rear bumper skirt with a hatch under the towbar on Audi Q5 2014 as you have in the video. I can't find such a part and numbers on it anywhere. Thank you in advance!
Excellent step-by-step instructions. I followed every step and appreciated the detail of the bumper removal.

Good video. I appreciate seeing how the hitch will be installed on my Q5.

So did you make a cut out at the end, on the rear center door section. If yes does it come with template where and and how to cut this piece.

Great Video. I followed all the instructions. Installation went well. Now my parking sensors are not working? any advice?
I would double check your connection points to make sure nothing was knocked loose during install. Also look for damage to the wire harness.
@@etrailer Thank you for the advice. One of my connectors was loose. Issue resolved. 😀

Hi, will be installing this hitch myself. Can you state what socket sizes you used? Deep or standard and 1/2 or 3/8 drive?
A list of the required tools can be found in the installation details in the following link.

Excellent video, but way beyond my skill set, will need to pay the dealer to do my Q7 😞
My bumper on a 2014 q5 is one whole piece with the part above what is shown in your video. Your video is not for the same bumper I have.
